The Senior Citizens
An older couple had come to town to be entertained and led to the nicer side of life by a young tourist; Gekkido. Gekkido did not exactly possess the friendliest temperament, but he had a kind of reverence for the elderly that enabled him to summon some of his more noble qualities in the presence of this couple. They were more interested in the bingo table than they were in any of the young people attractions. Scratch that, the old man was interested in the gambling scene. Gekkido was quite surprised to realize that the older couple had actually retired from konohagakure banking and moved towards the ocean for a more quiet life. In other words, they had money to blow. The banking part of kirigakure they visited, but it was a mere pit stop for the couple. By the time night hit, they were all about the casino and requested the company of the young kaguya on their night out. Gekkido took them to a nice restaurant shortly before, wanting to monitor the alcohol consumption of both before entering into a money-situation. During dinner the couple shared stories with him of how they’d lived through various wars and political issues within their country. Their bank had single-handedly funded the military campaigns of two kages in their lifetimes. It was interesting for the young shinobi to learn exactly how banking worked and how easy it was to make a profit in such a business. The key was obviously interest; the higher the interest, the higher the profits. Speaking of interest, the old couple was losing some as the night progressed. Gekkido came back from the bathroom to find both of them dozing off and reminiscing about warmer times. The check was paid and Gekkido left the couple to finish the night together, growing younger by the minute.
