The Adventures of a Troubled Boy Roku had just left the office of the Hokage, Rei Hyuuga, with permission to complete low-ranked missions in order to build the funds necessary to track down Black Sun. Rei endorsed Kyo's want to go after them, and since Roku would be with Kyo along the way, probably wanted Roku to be as prepared as possible. That was how Roku had a list of D-Rank missions to do today, even for Konohagakure, which was not his home village. Roku refocused his mind as he approached the destination for his delivery. He handed the ramen order to the village elder and left, on his way to the next mission.

Description: The local farmer of your village has gone out of town for the day and requests that a ninja stops by and waters the crop and harvest the crop of the blueberry field. Get this done by the time he returns tonight and will give you a nice reward of Ryo!

The Adventures of a Troubled Boy Roku's next mission was to take care of a farmer's crops while he was out of town. Roku made his way over to the man's land and located the barn where the supplies would be located. Not having learned any water Ninjutsu yet, Roku would have to water the crops the old fashioned way: by walking up and down all the rows blueberries. The rows seemed to go on endlessly, and once he finished two hours had passed. Roku now retraced his steps in reverse, with a basket, as he picked blueberries, filling the basket, returning to the barn, dumping the baskets in a barrel, and repeating the process. He repeated this process for roundabouts five hours, and as he finally finished, the old farmer returned home. He paid Roku and Roku was on his way.

(Hint: The locket was on the elder woman the entire time!)

The Adventures of a Troubled Boy Onto his next mission, as it was now midday, Roku was to find a woman and help her locate her locket. She said that it was surely somewhere in her home, so Roku searched the home high and low. Unable to find it, Roku slowly and methodically moved every single item in the woman's home, checking them as they went out. He, eventually, made the home look vacant, and, unable to find the locket, moved every single item back into the elderly woman's home where he had found them. Finally, as Roku approached the woman to tell her that he could not find her locket, she tripped and fell, and as Roku caught her, he heard a metallic clink against his belt buckle. Looking down, he saw the locket around the woman's neck. When he pointed it out, the woman thanked him heartily, and after she paid him, Roku went to report his successes to the Hokage, and then to turn in for the night.
