The Adventures of a Troubled Boy

This was not Roku. The man who was not Roku, the man who was no longer the fourteen year old innocent boy he once was made his way down the street. He drew about him an air of authority. People parted his path, children cried, old folks’ eyes widened in wonder as the enigma, the king, graced their presence. He didn’t see himself this way – but his attitude still reflected it. He was full of animosity, of determination. These sons of bitches killed my Raikage, and they probably killed Maki. This is my first shot to right my wrongs – my inability to protect them. Each time the man passed an open shop, it drew silent. His chakra radiated freely about him, unbridled rage and poise influencing those who were too weak to resist it. It was not something he did consciously, nor willingly – but it happened.

His goal was not to remain unseen in this small village on the outskirts of the Land of Earth. It was quite the opposite. He wanted to show them that there was power located in places other than the Black Sun. He was their light, the guiding hand. He was their shield and their protector. He wore his black robe, and the kanji for “Revolution” or “Koten” was printed vertically across the back, with the symbol for Kumogakure printed large just beneath it in teal symbology, and smaller versions of the other village symbols being placed in a neat row beneath it. He carried two other sets of robes with him, these white with black symbols, and the larger village being for Konohagakure – they were for Bet and Kyo, so they could represent both Koten and their home village.

Roku turned left and entered the small pub appropriated to them by the town mayor. There was no one inside except for Bet and Kyo, having been asked previously to meet in this location. Roku did not speak yet, as he turned around, formed three hand seals, and slapped a seal he had drawn on the wall the night before, effectively soundproofing the room. “Men, today you act as Koten. As the revolution.” Roku distributed the robes to the men, paused for a moment, allowing them to react, and then continuing. “You will wear these robes, to represent the organization your late Hokage himself – Kosuke Uchiha – founded. We will be a force to balance the villages. You’ll notice your village symbols are emblazoned on the back. I do not want to take your loyalty from your village, but show you a way to strengthen it even more. Men,” Roku paused, making eye contact with both Kyo and Bet in turn “this will undoubtedly be the hardest trial any of us have yet to face. I have located the first member of the Black Sun, by the name of Sloth. And we are going to kill him.” Roku stopped to allow the gravity of the situation to sink in. He had not informed either of them of the specifics of the mission – just that they were going to make their first serious move on Black Sun. To go directly to assassinating a member would surely be something neither of them expected.

Bet had been waiting in the tavern with his sensei for some time, frankly, too long. The hyperactive boy had taken to doing one handed, handstand pushups while balancing on a barstool that was on a single leg. He hated waiting, so he would make the most of his time by training. Finally, the door opened and revealed Roku in some weird outfit. He listened to what Roku had to say, and was very excited by what he heard. This would allow him to prove his new strength to his master and Roku! He wouldn't be needing that new technique anyways! Not against someone named, 'sloth'! "Yosh! Let's do this thing then!" He may sound overly excited, but he was still very much a child. An insanely strong child, but mentally, a child none the less. Which brings to mind, to everyone but Bet himself, the importance a mission like this may have in maturing the boy, making him more serious. And if you think kid Bet is dangerous, you couldn't even imagine serious Bet.

The night hung upon the face of the earth like a dark tent that was erected by unknown hands. Their eternal companions; the stars were silent witnesses of the turmoils of man. One youth sat upon his roof top early one night and deep in thought as his eyes searched for a number of the stars and of course found none. Coupled with the hate of Black Sun for slaying his mentor, the Hyuuga took days to meditate and brace himself mentally for what was to come. They were all going to die and this was indeed the first act of taking the fight to the enemy. For his village and for 'Koten'.

Koten...an organization that had ties to the late Uchiha Kosuke. He jumped off from his roof and went to collect Bet. He was to meet Roku at the tavern and this he did. They received the peculiar robes from Roku although Roku could have been more discreet in doing this. After all, Black Sun spies could be anywhere.

He saw the excitement in Bet's eyes and the anger and determination in Roku's eyes and asked, "I won't be putting on these robes in front of everyone else. I will do it on our way." Said Kyo in a whisper to Roku and to Bet. "I don't think you guys should either." He said calmly as he took a long drink of Sake.

Kyo wanted to leave and got up to do so when the others were ready.

The grim smile Roku offered to Bet was his attempt at being enthusiastic – it was a bad interpretation of the emotion. Roku didn’t feel these emotions often, but it seemed like the current events were something that could bring them out in him. Pure animosity. Not the desire for payback, not negative emotion… but pure, righteous, unadulterated rage. He liked Bet’s response, but frowned at Kyo’s. His demeanor was different than it had been before. He wasn’t angry, but he didn’t like it. “Very well, that would be your decision, Kyo. But keep in mind – we are a beacon of hope to these people. If you wish to hide your identity as a member of Koten, that’s fine, and again, your decision. But Koten will represent hope to the people of the Land of Earth, a people under siege. I will not hide the group’s existence, but I do not object to hiding the group’s identity. If you do, indeed, wish to hide your involvement in the group, you can meet us at…” Roku went on to explain the location of another place he’d scouted that was within eyesight of where he’d learned of Sloth’s location. “… in about six hours. And Bet, I extend the same offer to you.”

Roku turned, walked to the door, and next to the seal that allowed for the soundproofing of the room they stood in, placed one of his Hiraishin seals. Just in case. He then performed the Shadow Clone technique, and his copy wordlessly sat down on the floor and began to gather Senjutsu chakra. If the men decided to put on their robes and accompany Roku, he’d wait for them. If not, he’d go ahead, making his way west to the aforementioned location. There was a vantage point on a hilltop, and some brush that Roku and his team could hid inside. It would take about six hours to travel, walking so as not to unnecessarily expend chakra, and to allow time for night to fall. By the time he arrived at the desired location, the sky had darkened. He looked upon what, if Roku was in our world, a World War II bomb shelter. When the other two arrived, or if they’d followed, Roku would see his target enter the compound, not noticing Roku and his posse. Once he was out of sight, Roku would whisper to his companions. “We strike when everyone is ready.” This is my chance to make things right. The rage and animosity had been replaced with unbridled focus, but Roku began to feel… “it” again. His vision blurred for just the shortest moment, a hot flash hit him, and, were he no crouching, he would have lost his balance or stumbled. He spoke nothing of it, and didn’t even acknowledge the sensations. Now wasn’t the time.

Bet listened to Roku and then his own sensei speak. They talked about some organization that the old Hokage founded in his youth, and they seemed very serious, so Bet decided to calm down and stay quiet for once. He accepted the robe and made a bit of alteration to it, so that it now resembled a short sleeved haori that was ripped at the sleeves and the bottom was ripped so that it only came down to just below the knees. He took out a sash that had been given to him when he completed his training with the fire monks, it held the Kanji for 'Instinct' on it. Wrapping it around his head, he would move to follow Roku. He was unsure what was up with his sensei, but he supposed now was more of a time for action than anything else. Once they arrived, he sensed something off with Roku's physical chakra, which is all he can naturally sense, but either way, it was just a flash of something, so Bet ignored it. Looking at the bunker, he was almost too excited to hold himself in. "Alright guys, this one is in the bag!" Should he have sat still for a moment longer, he would have heard what Roku said about waiting. Activating his kaioken burst, he would vanish and reappear running directly at their target who was still in the process of entering the building. "HAA!" is all Bet shouted as he threw his punch. He knew that most ninja were more stealthy than he was, so he actually made an effort to move in a way that wouldn't give away his teams location. The man didn't look like much, so he figured that just his base form with Kaioken would be plenty to finish the man off.

The Hyuuga smiled at Roku's words. 'A beacon of Hope.' What was the goal of Koten? What was Kosuke's true dream? Peace; a goal that was nearly impossible in the Shinobi world. Yet the old man had a vision and even though Kyo fully acknowledged Roku as leader, he hoped that he would stay true.

Kyo followed Roku to the bomb shelter and put on the cloak and mask he was given. Kyo saw no reason to hide his identity. Roku was right, they were to serve as a beacon of hope for Iwa. So Kyo wore his mask to the side of his face.

Suddenly, Kyo's eyes changed to a blue hue with a bwhite floral pattern for his iris. His body erupted a cyan coloured chakra cloak as its flame like movements fully engulfed him. A single horn appeared on his forehead. The ground started to shark with his power as he waited for his prey. His Tenseigan had awoken. Pray for those who face it in battle.

Personality: Hideki is the traditional 'mad scientist'. He is constantly experimenting and views everything as an accident, created by the luck of certain variables coming together in the universe. Thus, he does not put any value on human life and was put in charge of bolstering the Black Sun Army through the use of his medical expertise and his curse seals.

Purpose:

Hideki had just returned from scouting a few potential candidates for the Black Sun Army. He was to write up a report and send it to their headquarters soon, before Leader-sama returned to the main base. He had just opened the door to his bunker when he heard footsteps and felt a burst of chakra. Luckily, he wasn't nearly as weak as he looked and he activated his Byakugan just in time to see the boy charging him. Turning quickly, he would catch the boys punch and then slam his palm onto the boys neck, leaving his curse mark, ending his feeble attempt at an attack before he began his next technique. First, four consecutive strikes. Second, another four consecutive strikes to make eight. Third, eight strikes to make sixteen. Fourth, sixteen strikes to make thirty-two. Fifth, thirty-two strikes to make sixty-four. Sixth, sixty-four strikes to make one hundred twenty-eight. Seventh, one hundred twenty-eight strikes to make two hundred fifty-six. Eighth, In a final movement, the user preforms one hundred and five strikes where the last one is a palm thrust to the chest. He had closed all of the boys tenketsu and could see that he had caused substantial damage to the boys heart and lungs. If he didn't receive help within twelve hours, he would die. While he still had his byakugan active, he could clearly see the other two not far from where he was. He would kick the limp body of the child next to him away, putting plenty of space between them. He would then send two palm thrusts in the direction of the other two would be ambushers. The ground would break and devastation would follow the path of the two vacuum shells headed straight for the two men. These fools had the balls to attack him? He would show them the err of their ways.

Idiot thought Roku as Bet charged in. There was no time to react as Bet, in his current state, was faster than Roku – by a lot. Still, there was one thing the man managed to do before Bet got defeated completely – he flared his Chakra Blitz ability, focusing it on Strength, doubling it completely (now 200), and then he immediately threw two of his Flying Thunder God Kunai simultaneously, and directly after, he threw a third in the air. He used the ability he possessed to guide the first two, causing one to arc to the left and back at his opponent, and another to arc to the right and back at his opponent. The one that arced to the right was not there to hit his opponent – rather, it was there to just barely miss and go directly behind him. The first, the one on the left, was aimed to plug itself directly into his opponent’s temple. The arcs were placed in a way that they would go directly around his opponent’s attacks.

There, Roku planned two courses of action, as his attack was so exponentially faster than his opponent’s that he could afford to wait a split second for perfect timing. His kunai moved fast, so fast in fact that it was highly unlikely that his opponent could see them. If his kunai that arced to the left landed and placed itself into his opponent’s brain, Roku would immediately teleport behind his opponent to the kunai that arced to the right, switching to speed with Chakra Blitz (200) simultaneously, and then he would immediately draw Naegling and aim its blade at his opponent’s throat. If his kunai indeed missed, Roku would simply teleport to the one that he had thrown directly into the air, which had been moving so fast that Roku would be about two hundred meters in the air when he teleported.

It was a harsh reality but Kyo decided not to intervene for Beth because Bet needed to learn what happens when someone rushes into battle. Kyo looked at Bet with his Tenseigan, swiftly scanning the boy's body even from the distance to where he was kicked. He was still alive but needed medical attention soon. He neither Roku could afford to drag the beating of this Black Sun member on for too long.

Kyo simply disappeared from where he once stood using pure speed and moving at his max there fore evading his frontal attack. He reappeared in a standing position, twenty meters behind from where the Hyuuga stood knowing fully well that attacks from behind to a Hyuuga mattered nothing.

Being distracted hopefully by Roku's attack, Kyo pointed his right hand at this Hyuuga who had dare kick Bet when he was down. Kyo timed it carefully. The beam of light rockettws towards his opponent's torso. If it pierced his body, Kyo would pull the light sabre down, up or across and cleave the man in two hopefully. As he timed Roku's kunai, light energy suddenly erupted from his palm in the form of a beam of light. Being Hyuuga, the opponent would see it coming yes but would his body be fast enough Kyo wondered.

A few things all happened very quickly. Luckily Hideki had already activated his Byakugan. He was able to notice that both lf the people who were now targeting him had a lot of chakra actively flowing, meaning they were ready for a fight, so he supposed he would get ready too. He would use a supercharged version of Yin-Healing Wound Destruction to prepare hinself for the immenant attack. He also activated his most powerful defensive technique, the Water mirror which would open up in front of him covering a ten meter square area. But, it only reversed one of the incoming kunai, the other one simply appeared behund him on the ground. Then the glowing man appeared and stabbed him with a light sword, he simply allowed it, coughing up a bit of blood as the damage was healed as quickly as it happened almost. Activating his next technique, he would superheat his hands, both of them glowing red. He would send two palm strikes at the mans chest before slapping two needle like hits to the mans outstretched arm. If the hut was successful, the man would have had two of the tenketsu permanently sealed and burned shut. Unless he was also some sort of medic nin and could heal himself, but he would get there if he got there.

His attack prevented, Roku simply teleported to the third kunai in the air, now hundreds of meters above the ground. The attack that the Hyuuga had fired at him missed by inches. He loved his capability to do such things, and timing was quickly becoming something more important to him than any form of physical prowess. The idea that he was, only six months ago, helplessly weak compared to the vast majority of Shinobi blew his mind. And then it struck. The attack that had abated earlier returned, and his stomach began to burn, so painfully that he cried out, screaming in panicked pain. He had not managed to activate his air walking boots in time, and he fell from the sky.

Roku coughed up a rather dangerous amount of blood on his way down, creating a red liquid trail as he streaked from the sky. Fading in and out of consciousness, the only thing that stopped his untimely death was his instinctual switch to durability with Chakra Blitz, making him effectively invincible for the moment as he landed head first on a slab of stone, shattering it, and then momentarily after, the kunai he’d teleported to landed point first on his throat. It did no damage, but the sight of it was still rather shocking. The switch of Chakra Blitz had made the situation worse, as Roku began to seize. He had no capability to wonder what Kyo was thinking – by all intents and purposes, he was unconscious, unable to think, unable to separate cognition and pure, unadulterated pain.

Kyo was surprised by the fact that his opponent did not bother to even take the sword out of his body by jumping back to pull himself off of this impalement. This of course was to his and Roku's benefit and it will be a big mistake on his opponent's part. For as the opponent Hyuga proceeded with his jutsu; Kyo with his beam saber still within the body of this Hyuga, the light sword was in his opponent's Solar Plexus specifically.

Kyo pulled the light sword upwards with his incredible strength and cut him from his lungs, sever his spine and rib cage and cut upwards like a hot knife through butter as the length of the blade exited the Hyuga's body from out of the top of his shoulder. If sucessful, there would be a gaping cut almost cutting the opponent's upper body in half. With his beam saber, Kyo quickly pivoted at max speed and with an arc of golden supremacy, Kyo cut the Hyuga in half before he could heal as he did before. Kyo then retracted his blade to five meters as he readied himself for either the death of this Hyuga or for some sort of counter attack.

Hideki hadnt bothered to remove the blade as he still had yin healing wound destruction active, added to the fact that he was able to bolster it with his Mystic Palm technique, it was nothing to heal from the vertical slice, though it did leave behind a scar. While his opponent was still so close, he sent out another palm blocking palm technique, though this one was still the ranged version. Should it hit, even if it didnt have the desired effect, it would be enough to push the man away. He found it interesting that this man didn't even react to the obvious internal damage his comrade had suffered and been incapacitated due to. "You are cold, consumed by revenge. I can tell, because i know you saw your friend there fall, I know you can see the disease that is killing him. But you continue to waste HIS time by fighting me. Which of us is the evil one then?"

The clone could sense something going wrong with his original. It was faint, but he felt a slight twinge in his stomach. A slightly painful one. Fearing this worst, Roku 2 teleported to the original, and it immediately hit him. Probably due to the now much closer proximity, all the pain the original was feeling was suddenly transferred to him too. It felt comparable to what he imagined a thousand tiny rubber wheels spinning at thousands of revolutions per minute would feel – but he did not have to imagine that, as he’d fallen victim to a Genjutu that did just that once before. Incapable of sustaining his existence any longer, completely overrun by pain, the clone dispersed.

All of the clone’s chakra returned to Roku, including the Nature Energy he held. Silently pleading, he converted the Nature Energy to Sage Chakra, hoping that the increased vitality the form gave him would give him the strength to bear the pain that had taken him over – and just like that, the pain was gone. Theorizing that it was due to the Sage Chakra, Roku staggered to his feet just in time to see a gaping hole close up in Slot. Dammit… Not having time for anything more fancy, Roku switched Chakra Blitz to strength (200) and threw a kunai. The special thing was, however, that when he threw this kunai, he would use his Senjutsu chakra to make it teleport to the other that had missed its target earlier and landed on the ground near him. It’d continue its momentum, aimed directly at the individual’s skull. Whether the kunai missed or not, Roku would remain where he was, still quite shaken by the events that had transpired.

Roku took a moment to reflect on what Hideki said before dismissing it. He could take care of himself, it was not Kyo's job to babysit him. Kyo was in the middle of fighting for his life.

Kyo was blown away by the man's powerful attack and smiled inwardly at the effect as he skated upon the ground. He calmly got up and stood there while allowing Roku to regain his composure; observing his movements. He saw the difference in Roku's chakra as he received his sage chakra. Now, it was time for the real battle to start. If the man survived his next attack that is.

Kyo listened to his intended victim as he spoke intently and audibly chuckled.

"Your words to me are but a bleating sheep toward a Lion." said Kyo calmly as he gazed upon the man with his Tenseigan."You...scum, you really think for a second, you placed his life in anyreal danger? If he could not take what you dish out, then he knows I would gladly give my life for my comrades."

While Roku's attack was being prepared, Kyo suddenly made a Kage Bunshin and the two Tenseigan wielding Kyo's disappeared with pure speed. Kyo appeared ten meters away behind this Hyuuga opponent, while his clone crouched down on the ground also ten meters from the front of the enemy. Kyo used his beam saber in an attempt to impale the man again this time in his upper chest hopefully. His golden blade shot forth towards the man's upper chest. While his clone simultaneously activated Dance of the Seedling Fern. Bones erupted at first under the enemy's feet in a pincer like formation to both impale and trap the Hyuga from moving after this. The bones shot out from the ground aiming for his legs, kidneys, waist etc. if trapped, he would get struck full blown by Roku's kunai to his skull as well.

Hideki knew his time was coming to an end. He was running too low on chakra to keep healing from wounds like the two he was battling were dealing to him. He had just enough for a final push, but from the moment the kunai entered his brain, he knew he was defeated. With the eruption of bones around him and a blade of light piercing his chest, he coughed a glob of blood. "You think... you two are powerful? You have to... use jutsu and enhancements... to reach the minimum of... our leaders physical capabilities... You couldn't... lay a finger on him... even with the Tens-Tenseigan... You t-two are going to die... if you continue to pursue this path... I-I will be... w-waiting for you.. i-in Hell." This was the last thing he managed to say before he ran out of chakra and couldn't support himself anymore. The man was dead and could no longer harm anyone else. Though, those he had marked in his life, remained marked with a little bit of his consciousness stored within them.

The Hyuuga Black Sun agent’s last words imprinted themselves inside Roku’s mind. He’s above even this jutsu of Kyo’s? What even is that jutsu… the thing that makes him glow? I’ve never seen anything like it. But Roku did not ask. He saw that it changed Kyo Hyuuga’s eyes, and for the slightest moment, wondered if the jutsu had anything to do with Kyo’s Byakugan. But surely not… I’ve never heard of the Byakugan causing such a thing. Sloth couldn’t do it… Still, Roku reflected for a moment on the power that it had given Kyo. He was impressed. Kyo was obviously just as physically capable of Roku in this form. He was able to move at speeds equal to even Roku’s Chakra Blitz – which was insane. Roku was one of, if not the, fastest living beings in the world when using Chakra Blitz. Tenseigan… is that what it was called? Did Kyo have two Kekkei Genkai?

Roku deactivated his Chakra Blitz but left Sage Mode active. It was partly to allow it to help rejuvenate the chakra lost in his body, and partly due to the fear of the abdominal pain returning. It was as if every organ in his body would burst… he shivered slightly out of pure terror. Roku did not dignify Sloth’s last words with a response. He didn’t deserve last words. If Roku were less shaken, he would have finished him off to stop them. When Sloth finally did pass, Roku looked at Kyo, eyes lit up, but just as he began to comment on the death of Sloth, he remembered Bet. Sprinting over to Bet, he touched his first two fingers to Bet’s neck. He was still alive. Thank goodness… Unsure of whether Kyo was aware, Roku called out to him; “He’s alive!”

The first thought that entered Kyo's mind was Bet and if he was OK. Roku rushed to his aid and confirmed he was alright. The man who hurt the little boy was now dead and won't be kicking anyone anytime soon. With Roku recovering, and Bet on the mend was well, he could focus on other things.

The Tenseigan searched the body of the now dead opponent for any vital signs. Who are you kidding Kyo? You and Roku overwhelmed him. It was then that Kyo thought that he should have backed down and let Roku take care of him. But he remembered why he attacked first and it was to give Roku enough time to gather sage chakra.

The enemy's body bore no signs of chakra running through his chakra circulatory system. It was dark and dead. His tenseigan still searched and Kyo walked towards the Hyuuga's body. Within the confines of the man's waist coat he saw several sheets of paper in his pocket. Kyo took those and placed them within his leather jacket. There was also a scroll which he also took.

"Roku. We have to get Bet to a hospital. His vital signs are fading." Said Kyo calmly as he deactivated his Tenseigan and his chakra cloak was removed. "Take whatever gifts you may find."

After Roku gathered that Bet was, indeed, alive, it was important that he recollect all of his Hiraishin Kunai while Kyo searched the Black Sun operative. He retrieved his kunai from the skull of Sloth, then the one to which he had teleported the aforementioned one, and then the others that had been used on the battlefield. Roku nodded at Kyo, knowing he himself needed to see a doctor as well. He had no idea what was wrong with him except that it was spreading, fast… and it was untreatable. It was part of the reason for his extreme change in personality for this mission… he was insistent upon doing something meaningful before his death. The only question was… when the death would come.

Roku stood straight, looking at Kyo to reply to his comment. “Yes… give me just a moment to prepare, and I can teleport us to Konoha. But… that mark… I’m not sure if anyone in Konoha can take care of it.” Roku moved closer. Being in Sage Mode, The could sense other Senjutsu Chakra, and for some reason…. No… is Bet absorbing Senjutsu Chakra? That couldn’t be healthy, Bet had no training in handling Senjutsu chakra. If too long passed before he got treatment… there was no way he could survive. “I only know of one group of people that could possibly help him.” It was the Jugo clan of Kumogakure. They were the only group that could passively absorb Senjutsu chakra and live. Roku wondered vaguely if the Jugo Clan could save him... Senjutsu chakra seemed to stop the pain of the disease he had... maybe if he was always absorbing it from his environment, like the Jugo Clan, he'd be ok.

Roku then approached the body of the dead Hyuuga, and he withdrew a scroll. Roku wrote a seal on the scroll and performed the Generic Sealing Method, sealing the Hyuuga’s body into the scroll, and speaking to Kyo. “We’ll need to analyze his mind-“ Roku cut himself off for just a moment, seeing the hole he drilled into the man’s skull; “or rather, what’s left of it. We could find some valuable information.” Roku then turned to Bet’s body and, with an open hand, slapped him a few times in the face – rather hard for a normal person, but for Bet, it was likely just enough to bring him to consciousness. If Bet awakened, Roku would speak to him in a hushed tone. “Bet, that mark on your neck is feeding a special kind of chakra into your body, and it’s harming you. I know someone who may be able to help, but they’ll be all the way in Kumogakure. You’ll have to travel while hurt like this.”

Bet awoke with a start. His body hurt all over and he could feel that his barely regained chakra was being drained off very quickly. He instinctively ascended from his base form, through ascended and true ascended into his primal ascended form. He was however unable to access his ascended instinct form for some reason. He stood slowly, his new form buying him some extra time before he passed back out due to chakra exhaustion. His heart was beating, albeit very slowly. He was going to make a joke about how hard the man hit, but he knew that none of the people present wanted to hear it. He noticed the man was nowhere to be found and heard Roku telling him about the mark on his neck. Hopefully wherever they were going he could get help, he could feel that when he ran out of chakra, it would put his life on the line. "Where to boss?" was all he could manage to say, and even that was raspy and laboured. Gone was his overzealous personality and present was a tired, beaten down genin who was struggling to breathe, much less joke and run about. He would simply move in whatever direction they chose, knowing how badly he had messed the mission up.

Kyo agreed with what Roku was saying completely. So there was someone who could help Bet in Kumogakure no Sato. There was no one in Konoha who could handle this sort of thing. Not even Kyo himself knew exactly what to do. Kyo went to Bet and caught his tiny frame before he fell as he collapsed from exhaustion. Roku was sealing the dead body as Kyo looked at Bet and listened to his words and smiled. Because of his personality, Kyo knew that the boy was indeed strong. However, as his sensei, he was responsible for his actions.

"Rest now little one. Roku and I will protect you." Said Kyo kindly as loving big brother would speak to his younger brother.

Kyo was concerned about his friend Roku as well. There was something that was not right about the man.

"Roku, I guess we are heading towards the lightning country so lead the way."

Hopefully they get a good reception from this allied nation of Konoha. He wondered how the new Raikage was as a person. Was he diplomatic and was willing to listen to reason? His two most trusted people outside of his family were not well and it made him wish the Hyuga was alive so he could kill him again.

"Bet, you want me to carry you?" Asked Kyo seeing Bet's state. "Roku, I can carry you as well if you wish."

He wanted to protect his friends and unless Roku had a Hiraishin seal in Kumo, then Kyo could carry them there the fastest. He was no boss of them. Whatever they decided, he was going along with it.

Roku looked at Bet calculatively, responding to his question rather simply; “to the Raikage. Hopefully he will help you. If not, we’ll have to resort to… er… less ‘legal’ methods.” Roku stood, ignoring the pain and burning sensation that was slowly beginning to return to his innards as his Sage Mode burned out. It wouldn’t be worth trying to reactivate it – he was sure the damage was still being done. It’d just comfort him a bit to gather the nature energy, but he had not the time. He looked at Bet and Kyo both in turn, wondering why this victory felt like a loss to him. If he could get Bet healed, it would be a flawless victory. Still, with his illness, and Bet’s new affliction as well… it couldn’t feel more like a loss.

Roku looked at Kyo sternly. He was sure that Kyo’s Byakugan could discern his discomfort, and/or the damage being done to his innards, but in a tone that almost convinced Roku himself, with unwavering certainty, he said “No. I’m alright. Bet, though… he’ll need help.” Roku approached the two. If Bet allowed Kyo to carry him, Roku would lay a hand on each. If he did not, Roku would kneel beside Bet, placing a hand on him, and awaiting Kyo to come to reaching distance so he could do the same to him. Assuming everyone cooperated, Roku would speak once more. “I’m going to transport us to Konohagakure. From there, we make our way to Kumogakure. We’ll have to move fast. Bet is not in a good shape.” And neither am I Roku wanted to add. Roku, if the two had cooperated, would then transport them to the north gate of Konohagakure. “Everyone ready?” Roku would ask. If they were in agreement, he would begin the journey to his Raikage.

Bet knew he was in bad shape, but at the very least the toughness granted by his current form was enough to keep him conscious for the time being. "Thanks sensei, but I can hold my own." Yes, he had to power up to his strongest normal transformation to do it, but he could do it none the less. When Roku came to reach out to him, Bet would take his hand and allow him to take them wherever his ability would allow. Should his sensei do the same, he would be surprised to find them suddenly in Konoha, but he knew their target destination was in Kumogakure. So, whether Roku simply miscalculated, or if his technique simply couldn't reach kumo from their previous location. It didn't matter either way, Bet knew he could make it to Kumo in his current condition, thanks solely to his transformation. He could even speed up their arrival time by carrying both of the older men and flying there himself, but that was only if they wanted. "I can fly us there if you cannot teleport us, Roku-san." His personality had become more formal, mostly due to the trauma and pain he had recently experienced. Should Kyo have not accepted Roku's offer, he would ask the same question, only from their previous location.

Kyo simply nodded at his both companions words. There was little else to say really. The Hyuuga they had encountered was something he did not expect in the slightest. So there were Hyuuga that chose to join this organization Black Sun. It eluded him as to what the reason to do such a thing was. Was a sense of belonging? Was it because he was at some point an outcast of the Hyuuga clan? It really was something Kyo had to investigate; yet he did not even know the man's name. Hopefully the scroll and the piece of paper he received from the man's body would shed some light upon such things.

He allowed himself to be transported by Roku and in less that a blink of the eye, he was in Konoha at the north gate to be specific. He listened to Bet's offer to carry him and chuckled a bit at the thought.

"Its fine Bet, it seems as if as you said earlier I can hold my own as well. Let's get going to Kumogakure."

With that, Kyo's eyes turned into a floral pattern again as a green flame like energy suddenly covered his body as he activated his Tenseigan.

"Roku, lead the way."

Roku felt empowered by the sense of well… power, that his companions held. Even Bet, if it were an adversary other than a member of the Black Sun, someone who was one of the most dangerous warriors on the planet, would have been able to hold his own in the situation that day. Roku smiled. Well, that was what he attempted to do, though it came off as more of a grimace. But then the trio was suddenly in Konohagakure and Roku explained what happened. “I can only teleport where I leave my mark. I do not have a mark in Kumogakure, because last time I was in Kumogakure… say, six months ago? I was about as powerful as your average new Genin. I mostly only grew into myself in Konohagakure, actually. And if speed is what you want…” Roku would activate his Chakra Blitz and switch to speed. The truth was, he was in quite a bit of pain, but he was fully ready and willing to undergo a higher level of pain in order to get to Kumogakure and rest, and get Bet taken care of.

And then Roku took off. He wouldn’t be moving at his max speed, unless Bet and Kyo showed they could keep up with it. Roku knew from the battle that Kyo was just as fast as Roku – identically so. And that surprised Roku, as he thought he was the fastest human alive. But he’d show mercy for Bet. At this pace, if all members of the party could hold it, they would arrive in Kumogakure before about two hours passed – a much faster rate than what he’d expected, never having made the journey at that speed before. Every ten miles or so, Roku dropped a Hiraishin seal on a random tree here and there – in case he ever needed to get to these locations in the future. He didn’t stop – he just slapped them onto trees as he passed. It wouldn’t be long before the group could see the mountain ranges, and even sooner yet the gargantuan village atop one of the tallest mountains that was Kumogakure.
