A small shield of what appears to be dull bronze, this round is roughly the size of a buckler and covers the user's forearm. The front has a lovely but tarnished motif of a lion and behind this is a small slit in which one could store a matching short sword. While incredibly durable, it is generally suited for parrying than blocking a full frontal assault. In a pinch, it can be smashed against something to inflict a painful bruise and the edge, while not sharpened, could certainly cut flesh if swung with enough force.

Nine Labors: For the person wearing the shield, it invades their body with its own protective aura, separate from "Gladiator." This field encourages bloody combat and discourages sneaky trickery. Any attack which strikes the wearer of the shield that does not deal slashing/piercing/concussive damage will be converted to concussive damage. This means that a sword will pierce and rend without obstruction, but a fireball would have all of its damage changed into physical force, rather than burning. This in no way weakens or changes the power of these attacks, meaning that high ranking techniques will still hit hard. However, it does change special "secondary" effects into pure power, so a lightning bolt may have had the power of piercing and paralysis, but will now have piercing damage and blunt damage. This ability cannot be turned off and can be disadvantageous against clever opponents.
