Bear necessities

Mission:

On a more interesting note, there was a bear terrorizing local farmers. Since killing animals was a bit taboo in Kirigakure, they sent a taboo shinobi to do the work. Gekkido walked past the trashed fields of the elder man who’d called for help and into the surrounding woods where the bear had no doubt retreated to after its most recent rampage. Stepping over fallen trees and the like, he walked in a rather direct line towards the ferocious animal who was found feasting on corn in slightly lower ground than where he stood. Looking down five meters at the puzzled animal, Gekkido activated bone spikes that protruded from his elbows, knuckles, knees, and ribs. The animal immediately responded to the threat by throwing the corn skeleton at the shinobi and roaring in annoyance. The bone spikes protruding from Gekkido grew just a little bit longer at that moment. The bear kept roaring as if to intimidate the man out of a fight. They eyes of the animal met Gekkido’s and for a moment the bear saw something even more animalistic and raw than anything in its own nature. Less than a blink later, Gekkido separated the head of the animal from the rest of its body, taking advantage of the slower reaction time that a full stomach had inflicted on the bear.
It was certainly a more gory and extreme method of execution than his superiors had required or desired, but it would do. He left the rest of the animals in the forest with the responsibility of clean up.
