It had been less than a week since Gekkido had a surprise spar from the mysterious man. Since said event, he’d gained another level of energy and intensity towards the pursuit of his dreams and goals. The man he’d met could potentially be a missing piece to the puzzle of how to locate and subdue the tailed beasts, and that made Gekkido salivate and thirst more than ever for the power he felt was rightfully his. Speaking of power, he needed more of it. So here he was the Kaguya clan compound, the temples, training chakra and learning a new jutsu. Gekkido had gained the reputation as the “lightning god”. It was time to add “thunder” to his arsenal. The flying thunder god technique was one that requires such intense concentration to learn that in the process of doing so he would have no choice but to also train his chakra. Chakra control grew your chakra, and that was the primary method he would be using to work his chakra during this training session. He only had a few days before he was to meet his new friend in the Land of Iron, and his primary obligation was to show up a much stronger man than he’d been before.

He sat within the temple and a blue energy began to flow from within him and all around him. This was his chakra being summoned and made ready to be poured out in greater volume than normally possible. He loved to see it, the power within. So many believed that greater energy existed within, but few had seen their own raw energy enough to understand it. To know that beyond even what was normally expected, what was normally interpreted, there existed an infinite source of energy. These were typically thoughts Gekkido kept to himself, but they flowed to the surface of his mind just like the now raging aura that surrounded him. His chakra was actually not blue but red, the color being the impression of the soul. Royal red, the rich kind, and this was something that could not be taught nor learned; you had to be born with this kind of power. Lightning was summoned and surrounded him, his favourite technique active. The lightning from his lightning release armor shown a unique purple color, something that had never happened before. It was no surprise that Gekkido was evolving, changing, into something far greater than he’d ever been. It was interesting for him to experience that the old proverb of the heart was true. Out of the heart cometh the issues of life. Gekkido felt his heart changed more than anything, evolved more than anything. He wanted to be powerful and to do so he also had to be pure. The gods were selfish beings, they would not tolerate a servant of anything less than absolute loyalty. Many of his kind had loss touch with the old gods, not believing that they cared anymore. Gekkido knew better. He knew that the gods, though silent, were more active than ever.

At times he could feel that they were nearer than ever, and such a day was one of those times. Yosimeni was his favourite of the old Kaguya deities. He was the god of power and desire. He was symbolized with the color purple, which became the royal garb of his ancestors past. It was by his blessing that the Kaguya had the great power they had. Being around so many heathen made it easy for this purity to be defiled by unbelief and distraction to what was unnecessary and unfruitful. Such chosen ones as Gekkido had not lost this child-like faith, however, and it was the very reason that Yosimeni and the old gods still favoured him; they were showing this now as his chakra expanded like an infinite sponge placed in an ocean of water. The purple lightning expanded to be five meters around him in all directions, and Gekkido reached in his back pocket to pull out a scroll with his unique FTG symbol on it, one of only a few people in the world outside of his friend Senjiro to possess the legendary technique. Within the scroll were ten kunai with which he was to practice the supernatural power of teleportation. He walked out of the temple, it was night. The field was perfectly open for about one hundred meters, and not a soul in sight. A forest surrounded this abandoned temple, and it provided the perfect cover for times like this when he needed to experiment.

He blitzed out the ten kunai in all directions around him in the field. Mind you, this was a man basically teaching himself one of the most difficult techniques known to man. In his spare time, he’d trained so well with lra that he could move at almost instantaneous speeds to the naked eye, but this was only in practice. Now was time for the real thing, a technique that surpassed even LRA in raw speed; instantaneous could not be surpassed. The symbol was tatooed on his back in order to make the chakra signature connection between him and the other seals easier at first. He closed his eyes and envisioned the first kunai. Vision was the trick to learning this technique, you had to envision first and learn to “feel” where the seals were at all times. He closed his eyes and allowed his chakra to envelop him almost entirely. There was a moment of silence and he opened his eyes.
He hadn’t moved at all.

The purple lightning crackled more as Gekkido prepared himself to try once more. His chakra was training right now, learning to focus the intensity of it on a specific location, something he’d never done before. Focusing chakra on an object outside of you took a particular level and kind of mastery. He looked out at the field and saw one kunai directly in front of him about forty meters. He blasted off at full speed towards it, barely touching the ground as he did so. He quickly sped back to his beginning place afterwards. He wanted his body to feel the difference between speed and whatever teleportation would feel like.

Senjiro had mentioned that it was like blinking, but he didn't understand. Gekkido was a very hands-on kind of thinker and feeler; if he couldn’t see and touch it, he had a hard time understanding. Then again, he was a man of such great vision , such incredible fantasies. He needed to tap into the right side of his brain and access that kind of power in order to aid him in this technique. So he relied purely on vision, and transferred an inordinate amount of chakra to his brain to aid in the yin-yang process of thought-creation. He created an image of being forty meters away, and with a slight rush, he opened his eyes to discover….


He had teleported. The process was like waking up from a dream, and the dream lasted only a millisecond. It was so easy that it would likely be difficult to repeat, Gekkido at times had an uncanny ability to make things complicated in his mind. He made this as simple as his desire. He’d read in a scroll once that the peak of power of a man was when he could envision something and create it out of pure will. That could only be possible with the beliefs of a man and his desire were in perfect harmony. Gekkido needed to begin to believe that power was this easy, this tangible. It was not something out there or something he needed to chase; it was right where he was and it originated inside of him. The great part of that was that it meant he needed to be nowhere other than where he was in order for his dreams to literally manifest right in front of him. Perfecting this process meant growing in trust of himself and of the spiritual power within which the gods had gifted him with. He had to become one with himself and the power, and this jutsu would bring that new ability out of him.

He looked eastward and saw within the grass the glowing symbol of his Hirashin. He calmed himself and envisioned the place with eyes closed, he opened - and nothing. He tried once more, this time concentrating on desiring to be where he envisioned. Desiring it so badly that he could imagine no other reality or place other than THERE. He opened his eyes again this time and he was indeed there. He looked west now, forty meters in the corner near a tree, there was another kunai. Gekkido roused a vision and the intense desire therein, and he vanished to that location. He did this a few more times with these three kunai until he could guarantee himself able to do it if he closed his eyes. The next level was the ability to do it with eyes open. He kept his eyes open now, and saw what he wanted, applying the same level of intense desire. His energy followed his desire, and thus his chakra learned now to be more efficiently synchronized with his ideas now. This was the first step in learning how to create what was in his head with reality. He experienced a small flicker and he teleported now to his first kunai with eyes open. A smile was on the face of Gekkido as he now looked up to the sky and thanked the gods. His purple aura leaked out upwards about ten meters, as though his very heart and that of Yosimeni were trying to touch each other.

He now wanted speed to this divine process. He teleported to one place, and instantly looked to the next. He was vanishing from place to place all around the field. To an onlooker, it would appear to be astonishing speed, but it was in fact teleportation. The power of this would be ultimately realized once he surpassed the next phase/step. Which would be the ability to teleport without anything but the will to be where the kunai were. The speed of will was faster than that of sight and even desire. The will had to be trained to operate this fast though, so he began to work on this smoother and more efficient method of teleportation. He was doing it off and on, this perfected version of FTG. He had to admit the chakra control between this and LRA was quite difficult, so he deactivated his legendary armor to enable him to get this part down before adding any other jutsu. Ironically, one of the hardest parts was appearing somewhere so quickly that he almost surprised himself. He knew that the danger of this lethal technique was the ability to appear and attack simultaneously; it was the simultaneous part that was difficult for him right now. Once he was moving through dimensions fluidly, he discovered he was adapting to the process of appearing and reappearing. With FTG it felt as though he didn’t move at all but was simply placed elsewhere. That being said, it didn’t have to interfere with other moves and techniques he desired to use in tandem as long as he didn’t let the whole moving through dimensions thing trip him out.

He activated lra again, and his chakra was going to be tested unlike it ever had before. He now would move through the different kunai and perform a strike once he appeared. He drew out Kiba and charged it with his purple lightning. He now could be seen vanishing and reappearing all around the field, making a single sword swing wherever he appeared, and disappeared shortly after. During this particular phase of the training he felt the unique sensation that he didn’t even have to see where the kunai were to access them; this was the sunrise of mastery.
He quickly now rounded up the kunai for a final test in the woods. He walked into the dark wood, the lightning armor about him making him fearless as to whatever awaited him there at this time of night. He forcibly threw the ten kunai all around him in the forest, unable to see where they landed, but now able to feel it. Seeing was with the eyes, but vision with the heart. And training this jutsu had taught him how to use his heart. He now moved throughout the forest cutting down a tree with every appearance and location of the hiraishin. Kiba hissed in excitement and lust as the lightning pulsated through it with ferocity. He would not apologize for the damage done to the forest, nor would he feel sorrow for the devastation he would deliver to his next opponent. The man he’d be meeting up with soon would no doubt be introduced to another, and a higher version of Gekkido.

Gekkido rounded up the kunai and moved back into the temple. He decided to finish up his training session with a prayer of dedication. There, on his knees, he poured out his soul to the god Yosimeni. He dedicated his body, mind, and soul to the deity in exchange that more of the glory and power that flowed through Yosimeni would flow through himself. It was no coincidence that when this prayer finished, he opened his eyes to find that his chakra had set the entire temple ablaze with purple ambient glow. All around him he looked and everything was covered with his essence, his ethereal expression. The most astonishing part is that it was so effortless. It was as though he was being granted a greater portion of it than he’d previously had; no doubt, in fact, this was the case. He’d just experienced a massive boost in his chakra quantity and quality. He arose with a feeling of awe, gratitude and confidence unlike he’d ever had. Something even like compassion came over him momentarily, and he remembered his love for his clansmen. His desire to see them excel and to ascend beyond the slavery of their hearts and minds to the normality of this current world system.

He acknowledged this day that he was the saviour, the leader, that they and the world needed to usher in an era of unprecedented advancement and spiritual awakening. The gods had spoken over his life this day, and so it shall be said.. So it shall be written… so it shall be done. Gekkido looked back behind him towards the entrance of the temple as he now walked out. He could have sworn he saw a dark figure, Yosimeni perhaps, a spirit that he knew now lived within him and had anointed him for a special work he was now equipped to do. He fleeted off through the woods, the outskirts of the kaguya clan compound, and back into the city. He knew a few places around town that he would for sure be putting his personalized seal, as well as an underground blacksmith that would be fashioning him an a full arsenal of these magical kunai.

He lowered down his LRA as he reached within the city limits and stood atop a hill that gave him a view of the entire downtown. He wore all black to blend in at night, being seen wasn't advantageous for him. He smoothly glided down the hill now towards the ramen shop to reward himself for the hard work of training. He would have to pack tomorrow and be ready to head to Iron by nightfall, which meant preparation in the meantime. For this small moment though, he would enjoy himself.
