Raiden rose from his office just as the sun began to peek into the village. He had taken over the position of Tsukikage from his grandfather, as was his birthright. He was now looking for ways to expand his villages power and their general wealth both economically and in regards to their natural resources. He looked to the green and blue planet in the distance. He had read several things about how his clan had gotten to the moon, and many things about the resources available on the earth. He assumed that the Ten-tails had been dealt with by now, it had been many centuries since it was required that their clan leave the earth, so he presumed it to have died or been defeated. Either way, he didn't think the earth would be inhabited by anything anymore, a thought shared by almost everyone in his clan, but just in case, he couldn't go himself. His honor also dictated that he couldn't send anyone in his stead. So, he needed to send a clone. Luckily he had the perfect antidote for this situation. The Rinne Clone that had bene his grandfather's gift to him for making it this far in his training and for earning the title of Tsukikage.

He would form a handseal and channel an obscene amount of chakra into the technique, before in a burst of energy, a perfect clone of himself was standing across from him. It was his perfect clone, and thus had access to all of his abilities and skills. In addition to still having a contract with Karasu. The clone would simply nod to him, already knowing what it must do. Dashing out of the office, it would vanish into the distance. Raiden would sit back down in his chair and continue going over the reports and such that he had been looking over before he dismissed his clone to go exploring. He knew he could still dispel the clone at any time, no matter how far away it got, and that it knew to dispel itself should the need arise, so he could gain information. He wondered what it would find on the earth, if some primitive society still survived from the days of his ancestor. He wondered, but he doubted such a thing to be possible. How could those people survive the might of the ten tails? It was almost impossible. Boy, was he in for the surprise of a lifetime.

The clone made it to the Obelisk in record times. Knowing this was how the ancients traversed to and from the earth, he just needed to find out how to do the same. Activating his rinnegan, he would analyze the patterns and ancient language on the monument before placing his hand on it and channeling chakra. He would find himself being sucked through time and space before arriving in front of an identical obelisk within what appeared to be some form of cave. It was almost impossible to tell where he was, he could still be on the moon for all he knew, but he supposed he just needed to find his way out of the cave to be sure. Deactivating his Rinnegan, the Rinne Raiden would look around finding an entrance, or in this case, exit in the wall. Going in, he found it to be some sort of maze that would make it difficult for one who didn't know their way around it to find their way out or in. A way of safeguarding the clan obviously. It was ingenious, but he had no need to worry about it. He simply activated his Rinnegan again and began using Kamui.

He began to walk through the walls around him, traps simply phasing through him as they activated at the detection of his movement. He made a few wrong turns, as it was far from a straight shot through the maze. He also took the time to read the runes on the walls that must have been left from his ancestors when they came through here on their initial migration. It was amazing to think about, the history these walls held. History of his family. He closed his eyes for a moment to take it all in before reopening them to continue his journey. Some of the runes gave hints as to the correct direction through the maze, but he doubted anyone without a Rinnegan could read them. Regardless, he continued his trek, making mental notes on the dead language of his clan that he would most assuredly be bringing back to the moon to be taught in the academy. It was after around an hour of walking that he finally found a door similar to the one he had entered in initially. Walking through it he was in the mouth of a cave, and could see a light in the distance that signalled he had reached the exit of the cave.

Rushing through the entrance he looked around at his new environment. It was obviously the ruins of a destroyed city, no doubt his old clan's village! He was so excited to be surrounded by this much history. He found several relics of the past around him, but decided it was time to head out to find more about the world his ancestors came from. He couldn't feel anything sinister lurking around like it was said one could feel from the ten tails, so he wasn't too worried. He decided to head east to see what he found. Mostly, this reminded him of the moon, but with a blue sky and brown rocks. He thought it strange not to see the stars overhead, but the sun was still there. It was most certainly a new environment. He made it several miles before he noticed it began to get dark, the stars coming back into focus and the moon, rising into the sky. It was a surreal experience looking up to see his home in space, but one that was amazing nonetheless. It proved to himself that he made it to his destination and now it was time to get busy for his people.
