| Gekkido and Senjiro arrived towards the top of the mountain on the outskirts of Sunagakure. They had picked the perfect time to travel as moving during the night made it easiest to be inconspicuous. Gekkido wore all black as he had when having left the village, but on his face was an anbu mask. Well, Gekkido did arrived, Senjiro was slightly behind. There was a thunderstorm going on all throughout and around Sunagakure this night, and yet he found it to be the most serene he’d ever felt. The rain poured down as though the entire sky might attempt to fall on Sunagakure. The poor people were more susceptible than any other to flooding due to the sandy nature of their homeland. Konohagakure was much closer, and Gekkido would have traveled there had it not been for an old friend. Years ago Kyo had made him swear to never harm Konohagakure as long as he had loved ones there; Gekkido had agreed. That left Sunagakure. The most fragile of all nations, and yet said to be filled with the most prestigious fighters. Another part of it that excited him about coming here was the possibility that the Kazekage was a hard man and would be up for a good bout. It took convictions beyond the merely emotional for a man to approach this particular situation the way he did. He’d left the temples a week ago and come out something different than he’d been when he entered; something more. It was difficult to explain but anyone who knew Gekkido knew that he was indeed different. There didn’t need to be any words of sentiment, mercy, or explanation. All of humanity was the same to him, and all governments and their people a machine that operated in the same perverse unison they had for all of time. Gekkido wore the lightning release armor shroud and stepped up upon the ledge on the back of the mountain. The mountain was roughly three hundred meters high, and Gekkido stood on a ledge about halfway up. Gekkido was up on the back side of the mountain, so anyone from the village would be looking at the front and therefore unable to see him at this time. So much lightning in the sky, so much rain. It was a day he could tell most people would rather be inside than out. This worked to his advantage as it afforded him the luxury of an unrushed entrance. Gekkido raised the Kiba swords upwards to the sky and lightning from above struck the swords and consumed his body with light. To the onlooker from a distance it would look like nothing more than that the mountain was being casually struck much like everything else in the area. It was not an exaggeration to say that Gekkido was the god of thunder and lightning. There was not a man in this world or the next that had the familiarity and mastery of lightning as he did; that had tamed the liquid fire as he had. His body was filled and charged with lightning power, and the feeling was indescribable. It was like having every cell in your body vibrate, and yet everything around you slowing down. The lightning absorption lasted a few moments, and meanwhile the skies continued to strike down within and around the main city of Sunagakure which existed on the other side of the mountain. After absorbing the energy, Gekkido would zip up the rest of the mountain to the peak. At the peak, there was a fifty foot wide ledge atop which he stood and looked out towards the rest of the village. His body sparkled with lightning as though he himself were a lightning bolt. He stood there charging and coming to, as he awaited his friend Senjiro. He wanted him to get first-row seats to the kind of power and enormity that only he was worthy of seeing for the first time. The wind howled through the sand village, and rains poured down so great that it felt like walking into the ocean. You’d have to have a cloak like Gekkido’s to remain immune to nature in this mood. The rain turned the sand into mud, and much of the land became slightly flooded, water clearly everywhere throughout the streets. Lightning raced through the sky so often and so violently it was like listening to a chorus of explosions. It appeared that most had evacuated inside given the torrential storm, with even the guards unusually small in number. All of this only aided in Gekkido being unseen and irrelevant for the time being, exactly what he wanted to be. For now he would await for his friend to meet up with him in order to proceed. - Jutsu:
