Mokuton v Isobu [Kirito]

It had been a slightly chill day for Makoto. He didn’t have to do much work to do and he had completed all his tasks for the week. Exams were soon to come so he actually didn’t have anything to do at all really except train and he was sure he had done enough of that. He was in the grass lands right outside Konoha as he secretly hoped he came upon a visitor. He had on his normal outfit today, black leather jacket with the Senju clan stitched in white on the back, ninja pants and his sandals. His right leg was taped up for support and his nails were painted lavender due to spending time with his grandma, although he did like the color.

At the moment, he would be hanging from a tree watching the road leading to Konoha seeing if he could spot a visitor or help someone of assistance on his day off. Although it was becoming tiring all the blood rush to his head at once. He had the confrontation seal up moving his chakra through his body trying to gain a better control over it while he had been chilling in the tree.

Kirito had woken up well beforw the sun rose. He skipped eating an early breakfast in favor of getting out early to start training. He had been at it for a few hours now and the sun was fully risen. It was now definitely close to midmorning or midday, certainly time to take a break and get some food. So, he started back on the path that led into the village of Konohagakure.

He had on his normal black combat gi tied with a white sash. His normal white haori hung on his shoulders, the bottom was tattered from all of his trevelling, the kanji for three engraved on the back. His white hair was messy as usual amd his blue eyes were as sharp as always.

He was coming down the road when he noticed a boy hanging upside down from a treebranch right over the road. He decided to stop and speak to him, "hello up there! It is a lovely day for training, dont you think?" He didnt know what this boy was doing, but he wanted to be polite.

Makoto would look at the boy as he jumped from the tree landing on his feet. “Lovely day for training? I think it would be a lovely day for a spar.” Makoto would smirk as he crossed his arms almost as if he were blocking the entrance to Konoha. “To get to Konoha you have to get past me.” Makoto would hold a thumb up at the boy with a smile. His chakra would be circulating through his body as he looked at the boy. “If you’re up for it though, if not I can just let you pass. “ Makoto would say with a sigh, he hadn’t sparred with anyone since Rei and he thought it would be a good opportunity to see what the boy was about. Makoto’s arm twitched as a silver flute came out of the sleeve as Makoto grabbed it before it fell to the ground. “What do ya say?”

Seeing the boy leap down from his position i the trees Kirito would nod at what he said. So, this guy wanted to fight, huh? Well, it would be fun, for sure to find out how powerful a leaf ninja was. So, Kirito would accept, "Sure, we can have a little spar. Though you must go easy on me Shinobi-san, I am but a wandering civilian. I have no formal shinobi training." While he most certainly wasn't lying, he felt that he had gotten pretty far without real formal training. Anyways, he would notice the other boy pull out a flute. This was an odd weapon, as such, Kirito found it very unlikely he used it as a blunt weapon. It was most likely a conductor for a jutsu of some sort, so he would need to keep his guard up.

Remembering to properly introduce himself, he would bow politely, "It is only customary that I introduce myself before we battle, Shinobi-san. My name is Kirito Samejima, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Once he rose from his bow, he would create a little distance between them and would strike an almost flawless taijutsu stance, though if one were knowledgeable enough on the subject, they would notice this stance would be better suited for use with bukijutsu. His chakra was now moving through his body excitedly, ready for the battle ahead.

Makoto would look at the boy as he asked him to go easy, yes Makoto was bigger and most likely older but he didn’t take anybody lightly. As the boy jumped back Makoto would formulate the clone seal with the flute still in his hand as a shadow clone appeared next to him with a flute in his hand as well. The only difference about this clone and a regular shadow clone was this one was made of the Raiton element, which would electrocute the boy if the boy made it disperse through Taijutsu. This would be interesting, telling by the speed of the way the boy moved back he was just as fast as Makoto which made the fight more even. “Running away won’t do you justice. Also that stance is made for Bukjutsu, not Taijutsu. Where is your weapon?” Makoto would call out as he would sit back with the flute in his hand as the clone did the same. He didn’t like making first move so he would wait on the boy to do it.

Sighing as it seemed not only was this another person unwilling to give a name, but it also seemed he himself would have to make the first move. Watching as the boy created a clone who also held a flute, he could only guess at the strategies this boy had. Hearing him comment on his stance, kirito would simply chuckle, forming his own clone that would jump backwards around five meters and then sit down. Kirito would then form a few hand signs before touching the ground with his hands. This would cause a dome made of steel to form around his clone. Unbeknownst to his mystery opponent, this clone would begin to gather sage mode chakra. Kirito's only goal now, was to last until he had gained enough chakra.

"To answer your question Shinobi-san, I am my weapon." With that he would form a few more hand seals before amassing water from thin air and sending it hurtling towards his opponent in the shape of a large shark around five meters in length. The shark of course, moved at the same speed as Kirito.

Makoto would laugh as he watched the boy do his work. He made a shadow clone as well and one of them had encased themselves into a steel dome. “Steel Release” Makoto would watch as the boy formed his hand seals for the jutsu, action would take place before the boy started his first seal. The clone would jump forward as Makoto would sink underground traveling closer to the boy as the clone would grab his immediate attention. As the boy were on his last seals Makoto (clone) was around 15m out, a rush of Water came from behind the boy in the wave of a shark but Makoto knew better than that as he had been forming his seals too. At once a wave of trees came from the ground just as the shark had ripping the shark up in multiple ways. The forest was created within an instance this went up to around 100m around the clone giving him environment control as well as direct in site to any movement within the forest. Not only did the clone set up trees to rip the shark apart but sharp branches aimed at the boy moving at the speed of 55m per second. Makoto also set up for the trees to wrap around the outside of the steel dome underground included. Meanwhile the real Makoto stayed underground until his clone would set up a good enough fight for him to show his face, he would know exactly how the battleground is set up. More specifically that someone was inside of the piece of steel gaining chakra.

Seeing as his opponent started his assault as soon as he began to form hand signs, Kirito would quickly dodge the literal forest that sprung up all around him. He rolled out of the way of trees popping from the earth and would dodge the spiked branches as they came for him. It would seem that this guy was pretty skilled, he had never seen wood release used before. But, regardless, he felt his clone was still gaining chakra and was still safe.

Springing into action, Kirito would form two seals causing the sky to grow dark and a heavy amount of snowfall would begin. It was very close to a whiteout in fact. It allowed him to sense his enemies presence within the forest rather nicely. It also helped set him up for his next technique, forming another seal a white mist would cover the area around him in a 30 meter radius. Not only did this mist restrict sight, it also lowered his opponents speed due to the extreme cold. It was time to start taking things seriously. He could sense his opponent in the forest 15 meters away from him, so, moving forwards five meters, he would form a handsign causing ice to erupt from the ground directly below his opponent. If they failed to dodge, they would be encased in a prison of ice.

The clone would watch the boy form 2 seals and immediately the sky darkened and began to fall snow. The clone would react at once as his cheeks filled and dispelled ashes hot as hell itself. This would negate the falling of the snow allowing him to still have control as the boy wouldn’t be able to see within the smokescreen and had he stayed within the forest area would be burned badly as the jutsu would warm up the forest as well allowing the clone to act as his actual speed, this jutsu would cover just as far as the forest went out (100m). The real Makoto would do nothing as he stayed underground wasting little chakra assuming his clone would be able to take out the boy. This was a good fight but the boy was wasting much chakra just as Makoto’s clone had been.

Kirito would notice his opponents cheeks puff and start to spew out an extremely hot ash. It was hot enough to melt his diamond dust technique, so he knew he didn't want to get caught in it. So, he would take off in the opposite direction, moving until he was out of the forest. He decided that he would wait here until his opponent ended the ash technique or also left the forest. It wouldn't take long before he ran out of chakra or grew bored of playing things from such a distance. He would allow his snow technique to cancel as he moved out of applicable range. His opponent was obviously a ranged fighter who favored using area of effect techniques to gain a field advantage.

He could feel that his clone was almost ready to give him its chakra, so he would just need to wait a bit longer. He would also begin to gather nature chakra as he waited for his opponent to make another move, keeping his senses and eyes stretched wide open, ready for any sort of assault to occur.

4/3 Senjutsu

The clone would watch closely watching as the warm ashes fell to the ground as he would laugh. “Don’t run from a fight, it isn’t fair.” The clone would assume a taijutsu stance with flute in hand waiting for whatever the boy wanted to throw at him, he would gain chakra as he waited on the boy. Unseen, Makoto on the other hand would be coming from out of the ground onto a nearby tree with the flute in hand near his mouth watching for the boy as well, he was gaining his chakra back but felt like he was going to have to use his new genjutsu to end this fight. “Come on young man, fight me within taijutsu” the clone would say as loud as he could.

Kirito felt it, it was time. Allowing his clone to pop he felt not only the rush of his chakra returning, but also the insurgence of highly potent Sage Chakra. Now, to his opponent, who he assumed had no training in senjutsu, it would appear as though he had put some form of eye liner around his eyes as they were lined with blue rings, and his irises had turned yellow. He thought for a moment what to do before he rushed back into the forest. He knew the other boy hadn't followed him as he couldn't sense him at the moment, so that was something. Deciding to play things safe, he would create a clone from his sage chakra. This clone would rush back into the forest at blinding speeds, looking for his opponent where he had left him. He wouldn't get far before he felt them Apparently his enemy had created a clone. It was obvious that his enemy was the one hiding in the trees, but Kirito's clone would decide to go for the one whom he assumed was the clone.

Moving at maximum speed, the clone would appear to materialize out of thin air in front of his opponent (Clone Mak), with his fist already connected. He only used half of his strength (65) but that would prove to be more than enough to destroy the lightning clone. when destroyed, the clone would return to its state as lightning which, admittedly took our kiriclone by surprise, but due to his enhanced durability granted by Sage Mode, he wasn't destroyed. But, he was stunned for a moment. Using the distraction that would most definitely be caused by his clones attack, Kirito, who had been following just out of sight of his clone, would launch his flanking attack. Coming at blinding speeds for the boy in the trees. He would throw a simple punch at his midsection, no doubt catching him offguard at the pure speed shown. (punch at 55)

Makoto had been watching his clone with his flute to his lips as he saw a flash of light appear which mean his clone had been destroyed. Makoto would began playing one of his tunes that he used for genjutsu, the boy was much stronger with this technique. Although Makoto knew his sound genjutsu would be hard to beat especially since this stopped him from moving… atleast it was supposed to. While still playing the tune Makoto would jump from the tree and kick the boy (Clone) in the gut as it would dissipate before him. This meant the real one was within range of the genjutsu is he hadn’t attacked Makoto yet. Makoto would move the flute back up his sleeve as he breathed in and beathed out hot ashes once again. If they boy was within range of his genjutsu he would surely be burnt for sure this time, the genjutsu is confusing to figure out especially on the first encounter with it.

Kirito was glad that his initial attack seemed to be a success, but would be very confused when he heard the sound of a flute playing. The moment he heard the flute playing, he would lose control of his body. He tried to cover his ears, but his hands went to his sides instead. It was then that he sensed a chakra buildup and release. He saw the hot ashes coming from his opponent again, but this time, he was semi-prepared. He would force his chakra through his body forming a steel dome around him similar to the one he had made around his clone earlier. The best part about the Iron Maiden jutsu is that it didn't require hand seals, just an output of chakra. He felt the wave of heat wash over his dome, but he knew he was safe inside of it, for now anyways and he could focus on trying to undo whatever this Genjutsu had done to him.

He would also take a moment to regain some of his Senjutsu chakra he had lost from his brief fight. He would use this brief respite to his advantage. So, it would seem that his opponent could cast Genjutsu through his flute, interesting. Kirito knew it was obvious one needed to hear the flute to be affected by the Genjutsu, so he decided to be preemptive of the next attack. He would attempt to grab a piece of his cloak to rip off to stuff into his ears. While this would take away his sense of hearing for this fight, he had his sensing abilities to rely on. The only issue here is that whenever he reached for his cloak, he would put his arms somewhere else. This was getting aggravating very fast.

Makoto would hear the ground as he looked around. It was the steel dome, this kid sure did like using the steel release. He would chuckle to himself, guessed the jutsu had worked. Makoto would walk over to the dome as he clapped his hands together and formed a specific clan seal. He would raise his arm up as a wooden arm raised out of the ground. Makoto would use the hand on the arm to hit the top of the dome trying to be careful not to kill the kid but at the end of the day it was the steel release. Makoto would see a crack begin to form which meant the boy could somewhat hear him. Makoto would say as loud as he could. “Makoto Senju is my name! Welcome to Konoha!” He would chuckle as he conversed with the boy. “You sure put up a good fight.”

Kirito heard a few powerful pounds on his dome. It wasn't until a few slams later that a crack formed in the ceiling of his jutsu. He knew this fight was practically over. It was a good fight, but he knew at the moment, he wasn't strong enough to defeat this opponent, but this fight had definitely given him things to think about. He would call back, "As did you, Makoto-San. I am more than outmatched at my current state." With this he would allow his dome to deteriorate back into the ground. Standing back up, he would offer his fist to his adversary, "I accept defeat, on the condition that we may spar again some day." He hoped that the other boy would agree to this as it would be good to be able to spar with someone who was so versatile as the boy in front of him. He would also focus n building back his chakra reserves, as this had been the most intense fight he had ever been a part of, it had left him feeling rather drained. But, thats nothing a little time cant fix

Makoto would pound the boy’s fist as he spoke. “I don’t think you were outmatched, I think you were too eager. You must learn your opponent before you go all in ya know?” Makoto would work on gaining his chakra back as he looked at him. “So where ya from? Your obviously not from Konoha I can tell that atleast and why is your chakra so high for someone you age.. you look 12.” Makoto would chuckle to himself as he reexamined the boy. He was shorter than Makoto and he honestly did look 12 but his ninjutsu skills were comparable to Makoto’s. “And what was the mode you used, you were way quicker than you had been before.”

Kirito would continue regaining his chakra as he listened to the older boy speak. He would nod at his observations, but knew that answering too much wouldn't be in his best benefit. "I will keep that in mind, Makoto-san. I am originally from the Land of Iron, but I left to pursue my dream of travelling the world learning from the different nations all that they had to offer. And my chakra is so high due to the countless hours i've spent training it. From the Land of Iron, to the Land of Fire, to the Land of Earth, to the Land of Wind and then back here, I have worked on my chakra and also various jutsu. As for the answer to your final question, that "Mode" as you called it, is the direct result of someone becoming one with nature. Normally, it requires training from a summoning clan, but on some rare instances, a person, through hours of dedication, can earn it through pure training." It was a lot of answers he gave to the boy, but he had only one question for himself. "I heard talk that the Chuunin Exams would be held soon in Konoha, will you be participating?" It would be interesting to know someone in the exams, especially someone like this, who would be able to do so good.

Makoto would look at the boy as he spoke. He would perk up as he answered the boy. “I think I will be participating in exams. The chunin rank looks enticing to me.” Makoto would scratch the back on his head as he would focus his thoughts more into focusing his chakra as he spoke up to him. “It was nice meeting you Kirito, I hope to see you again or spar with you again.” Makoto would walk away back towards the village as he through his hand up. “Enjoy Konoha!”

Kirito would wave back to the boy. Perhaps he would stay within the village simply to watch the village to root for his new friend. But, only time would tell what he decided to do. He knew that he would be able to stay for as long as he could afford it, but he needed to find some missions within the Land of Fire to give him more experience. He was about willing to do anything by now, simply to try out some of the stuff he had learned from this fight. He would stroll back to the village though, eager to get some food before going about the rest of his day.
