The Arena (PLZ excuse my sucky drawing):

The time for the Exams were upon us! The day for the Chuunin exams had finally arrived, thousands of spectators and fans of the exams filed into the massive stadium. The field below had a few areas of trees and a small lake within it. The area itself was around 100m in length from one end to the other. The five Kage all say in their respective viewing booth. It wouldn't take long before the participants arrived to get things kicked off. When they arrived, they would be led to an area where they could spectate and then be ready whenever their match began. Above the farthest wall of the arena, opposite the area the kage were seated was a large screen showing the brackets for the tournament.

Screen/Brackets:

So, the first match of Semi-Finals would be Jei Kudo of Sunagakure v. Azayllyn of Kumogakure. It should prove to be an interesting match to be sure. The next battle would be Makoto Senju v. Rei Hyuuga both of Konohagakure. It ould definitely be an interesting round of exams this year.

Kosuke would step forward to the edge of the Kage booth to give his speech and officially begin the exams. "Welcome one and all to the Konohagakure Chuunin Exams! We have gathered here budding ninja representing three of the five villages from around the Elemental Nations! These ninja will face off in battle to showcase their skills in an attempt to prove themselves worthy of the rank of Chuunin. As a warning to the Genin, while killing is allowed, it is requested that you do not attempt to kill your opponent. If a proctor must step in to prevent needless death, they will. Without further adieu, LET THE EXAMS BEGIN! Would Jei Kudo and Azayllyn please step forwards!"

The crowd would go wild calling the names of the two genin approaching the fields. As soon as they both made it to the arena floor, a proctor would arrive to officially begin their match.

Jei was tired. Jei was hungry. Jei was a lot of things. He had lost his candy on the way to the exam area thing, and had then been told no in the waiting rooms of the exam. This made Jei a dishappy man. A unpleased boy. He was angry because there was a lack of food and a lack of people caring that there was a lack of food. Jei only cared because the longer he sat without food, the more hungry he was. He felt that there was a connection there. If he really looked, he felt like he could figure this out.

He did, realistically, know. He just often grew frustrated thinking about it. He was frustrated at the moment, just not for that reason. He had decided to crush whoever his opponent was. Crush him hard. He didn't know who it was, and as he was ushered out to go fight someone, he noticed a small child on the other end of the arena. He was going to crush this small child, with only half his strength. Full would still murder people, and that's not what Jei wanted. Not even angry and frustrated Jei was a murderer.

He just wanted to show them what having power actually meant. He had heard that word thrown around, and Jei knew one thing. No one knew what having overwhelming physical strength was actually like, or else they'd fear it instead of praise it. He mainly meant this towards smol Kona, but he had heard it elsewhere too. He was going to smash the boy and send the message that strength should make you guarded, not make you famous.

He had made his way from the bottom of the area to the starting point he was supposed to be at. He looked grouchy because he was grouchy. He also wore no shirt. He did wear pants and some sandals though.

Makoto would be making his way to the stadium in Konoha as he had small thoughts to himself about things like why the Chunins were in Konoha. Makoto had on his leather jacket as always with the Senju symbol stitched in white. He had on navy blue ninja pants with his normal sandals. His flute was attached to his pants and he had his kakutes that were dipped his special poison were in his pockets, one in each one. He would make his way to the stadiums to check his lineup. He was facing Rei Hyuga, once again and this time it counted. Makoto would begin to scheme as he watched Jei walk into the arena. ‘She is a close ranged fighter and is very fast which meant Makoto would need to keep his distance seeing that he could fight close ranged but would rather not seeing that she was better at it but she had no other elements other than Scorch and her taijutsu which Makoto knew. This would allow him a great advantage in the distance game. Makoto would keep his hands in his pockets and watch the following fight to learn from his possible future opponents.

Azayllyn would step gingerly into the arena. He had not too long ago fought a really tough opponent so he knew he needed to come up with a good enough strategy to win. As he walked into the arena he had his hands behind his back as if he was nervous but he would really be performing the hand signs for the Body Replacement Technique. It was a lesson he learned after fighting a certain speed demon samurai. Just in case his opponent was nearly as strong as that man it would be necessary to have that ready. Also as he had his hands behind his back it'd be easier to see The weapons pouch he had on his right leg that contained three kunai, 2 explosive tags, some bandages and medical herbs, and one smokescreen. There had been more explosive tags but he had used them to cover a chunk of steel that he was using for his body replacement technique. He had also changed his outfit from his usual adorable sailor suit to an outfit that looked exactly like a green and white version of Hinata's Chunin outfit(Headband around neck as well). Azaire also prepared to use body flicker to make it completely across the field if he was forced into using his substitution jutsu where he would hide behind a tree to formulate a plan after glimpsing his opponents strength. Bringing his hands forward he looked at his opponent for the fist time.....OH.....Ohhhhhh! He was HUGE! Nervous he did the nervous hand movement Hinata used to do when she talked to Naruto when they were kids, and he waited nervously for the match to begin.

Kazue had woken early as she had been chosen to proctor the tournament that was being held today. She had on her normal white bandage garb and her bandanna head band. She arrived a bit early to prepare some things for the Genin coming to participate. As the Hokage finished his speech she appeared in between the two fighters, Jei and Azayllyn. Jei was closest to the lake area and Azayllyn was farthest from it. She would reiterate the basic rules that the paricipants had already been given before raising her hand in the air and bringing it down swiftly with a shout of, "HAJIME!" Before leaping out of the Arena to give the fighters space.

Jei, being the sad and angry boy he was, looked over to the trees. He knew what he had to do. If he didn't do this, he'd have shown nothing. He decided that he had to show off his pure, physical strength to everyone so that they understood just how strong the boy was. He ran over to the tree, striking one down low with a low kick. He then grabbed it as it fell down and grasped it like a sword. It was a hefty tree, as Jei’s hands weren’t even able to fully go around, but he had a solid grip. He then turned to the boy, who had likely moved to combat this. He kept a grip on the log, tighter than before.

He would wait for the other boy to attack him while holding the tree like it was nothing. He’s squish this boy. He’d show them that talent won over all. That was just the fact. Sure, if one worked hard enough they could theoretically meet talent, but that was in the most rare of cases that surely wasn’t his opponent. Maybe smol Kona, but not his opponent.

“come at me. I’ll crush you.”

He was really hungry and angry. Once fed food, he’d likely go back to his normal, mostly docile self.

Much like her best friend, Rei had gotten up early that morning. She still followed her regular schedule, training before daybreak and business affairs in the clan. Unlike normal however, was her interaction with her father. Rei was intentionally avoiding her father and her father intentionally avoided her. He wanted nothing more than to teach his daughter a hard lesson in the ways of his rules for the hyuga family... but Rei's mother was a cunning woman. He had no chance to reprimand his daughter before the start of the Chuunin exams.

Eventually, time came to make her way to the stadium for the Chuunin exams. The number of participants was small this year, only averaging between three and four battles, indluding semi and finals. She knew nothing of the other two combatants, though she knew Makoto well enough. Surely he had learned a few extra tricks just as she had. She was eager to see how much strong her had become... but it was not yet her time. She she took by a side rail to the left side of the stadium and watched the two participants below. One small boy was timid, though Rei believed his shyness to be a ploy. The other boy was quite the opposite. Strong and brash, she could feel the killong intent flowing from the one known as Jei. She activate her Byakugan, allowing her to read their chakra pathways and learn from them before it was her turn to fight them.

Azayllyn gave a slightly adorable frown. What was this giant's game? Well one thing for sure he would not be foolish enough to meet the giant's demands without a proper plan. For now he would have to test the waters a bit. He reached in his Kunai pouch and produced one kunai and slipped out an explosive tag that he quicklyy hid along with the kunai behind his back as he carefully fit the tag onto the kunai and without further ado sent the kunai streaming toward the tree holding giant. The minute the key left his hand he would use body flicker to transport himself to one of the tree's careful not to show what tree he was in and peeking out so that he could observe the result of his test attack from relative safety. Unless this ninja was one of those Hyuuga types, Az expected the tree to give him enough cover until he could plan out his next attack. Azayllyn would then as silently as possible slip out another kunai and watch his opponent patiently. If the attack hit he would be very suspicious. Anyone who could pull a tree out with his bare hands and who was about as tall as a tree should have no problem dodging or evading the attack. It's how he chose to avoid it that interested Azayllyn. You could tell a lot about someone's fighting style simply by watching how they made one move. So that begged the question. What would this angry giant do?

Jei was an angry child who had no other reason to be here. He grew angerier by the second, as it was just a frustrating thing to be here and have to deal with this garbage of an opponent. When he could no longer see the other child, there was two options. He had either hid behind the threes on his end, or went nyoom into the water. Those were the two options in Jei's head. The second problem, unknown to Jei's approximantely amazing understanding, was a kunai with an explosive tag. A 'BigBoomThing' in Jei's words.

He decied to chuck the big tree at the other batch of trees in order to figure out if the boy was hiding in those trees, and then proceeded to smash into the other The tree he threw would be going about 100 speed into the other batch of trees, and the two trees behind him would be taken down with one punch each and thrown towards the other set of trees. He had then knew what he had to do. He'd then go as nyoom as possible to over by the river and sit by the side of it. He'd stick his feet in and relax, almost casually.

Azayllyn knew that the trees wouldn't provide much cover but he was surprised at the giant's quick thinking in throwing the tree however he reacted instantly himself as he took the handmade explosive kunai and stabbed it into the tree were he sat before making the ram sign and body flickering away. He had been in the tree that the giant went running at and there was a very high chance that when the giant destroyed the tree he'd sat in before it would cause the kunai to explode from impact. Az himself would appear safely on the far right edge of the lake where the ground and the water met the wall, with his back against the wall.

He would immediately begin weaving signs as if preparing for another attack while thinking to himself what he would do next. This was getting to be a handgul. He should have come much better prepared, but he had gotten excited and now he was getting through this round jumping from one strategey to another and he had yet to effectively fight back just yet. At the very least he wanted to get off one attack before this was through. As he thought that he finished his handsigns as quickly as possible and pulled a sword and shield from his belly. This was his chance to fight back!

Sure. There was a boom. There was also a boom when he used his full strength. What's the big deal? He saw his opponent appear on the other side of the lake, but blech. His opponent was boring. He was tired, and there was a nice water bed. Well, that was until he realized something. He knew he didn't move fast in water, thereby that must happen to other people. He would get up, move about a centimeter back, and then doing a cannonball into the water. He'd pop up shortly after. He knew that he had hopped in, pants on. That was fine. He'd win in the water.

"me king of water."

Some might take that as a proclamation of water ninjutsu strength. It was not. He could just move better than most in water. He would be a great swimmer if there was water in Suna. He sometimes swam in the sand. That was not as fun as swimming in this water, which he was doing quite well. He'd stare at his opponent once in, with his wet hair and face, and laugh before slapping his hands on the water as if he were 12. He's 13, but that's not what matters here.

Azayllyn stood having being prepared for the giant to come at him but could not help but look on in surprise as the man hopped into the river and began acting like a king sized child in an overly king sized body. Az wasn't quite sure what to do as this occured but Azyallyn looked at his shield and let go of it and it flashed away before it had even hit the ground. Next he ran into the water and was almost instantly swallowed hole before he'd gotten a ffot from the edge. It was at that moment that Azyallyn had remembered a very important. He had never learned how to swim! He started to panic for a moment as he cursed his stupidity. He kicked as hard as he could until he had made his way back to land. Luckily he had not gone to far out or else he might have been a goner. He lay on the edge of the lake for a while with his lower body still half inside the lake. Once he'd regained his strength he pulled himself the rest of the way from the lake, letting the sword disappear and pulling out a steel bow and a few arrows from his chest. He took back up his spot against the wall and placing the other in his teeth, let loose one blunt arrow at the submerged figures forehead.

Hmm. Boy either didn't know how to swim, or weighed to much to do so. He knew, for a fact, that the boy would've literally been completely drowned if he hadn't gotten out, but still hadn't moved to help him. Instead, it inspired the exact opposite. It was time to play a fun game in the water. He saw the boy go for his arrows and such, but had decided to wait. Once the boy shot the arrow, he would catch it in the air and bend it in half with a single hand. It didn't require much effort on his end.

However, it was what came next that might surprise most. After bending the steel arrow with a single hand and chucking it behind him. He would move forward in the water with a startling amount of speed and attempt to grab the boy's ankle. It's not with the intent to break, as if he were able to grab the ankle, he'd just pull the boy into the water, and promptly underwater for roughly 5 seconds before bringing the boy back up.

If he was unable to catch the boy's ankle, however, he'd likely just try again. Jei had a stupid plan that he was going to follow through with.

Azayllyn wasn't very surprised at this point at the display of strength and when the man started to swim toward him and grab his ancle he attempted to jump out of the way as fast as he could but unfortunately he could never have moved fast enough and he silently cursed himself for letting himself get so close and not moving back away from the lake earlier. Of course this would happen. What did he expect wouk happen. Az would go kicking in yelling in outrage as he was pulled back into what he was sure would be a watery grave. "No, bad man child! I can't sw...." The rest of his shout would be caught in a gurgle as his head started to submerge and he pulled back up to take one big lung full of fresh air. He kept his eyes closed tight at fist as he got pulled into the water but oppened them soon after pulling a dagger from each of his elbows he began swiping as best he could at the man who held him. His substitution jutsu still had yet to trigger but the brute oof a man had to slip up and accidently use more force then he intended then the giant would be surprised to find himself holding an explosive piece of steel but until then he had to fight back as much as he could!

Jei, upon farther thought, figured out an even better plan. He could stick other childs face and body under the water until they gave. not to mention, they were making a massive fuss about the current situation. He pondered his situation as he brought the boy up to above the water, and decided that he was going to stick boy under water until other boy gave up. That was the goal. He'd, after holding the boy out of the water by their ankle, would thrust them back into the water. He moved, with surprising speed, to grab the boys neck with his other hand so that the boy had no method of fighting back.

He was thinking deeply, as he held the boy below the waters surface. Not really deep, but deep for Jei. He wondered what smolkona would think about this situation. If she thought bad of it, would he continue? Probably, he wasn't a very nice child when hungry. He was hungry. That was the whole thing about this situation, is that he was hungry and the boy needed to give up. Either that or die, but the dying part didn't make itself known to Jei. He figured the boy would be able to tell him when he gave up.

He did not factor in the fact that water distorts voice.

The moment the smaller of the two boys was grabbed and dragged underwater, Kazue knew it was over. She waited a few minutes, but it was clear who the victor of this match was. So, she sprung to action. Leaping down and standing on the water lifting jei up and in turn the other boy and then seperating them, holding one in each hand.

"This match is called, victor is Jei Kudo from Sunagakure. If the next contestants would make their way to the field."

She would then wait for Makoto and Rei to make their appearance on field.

Rei had watched the first fight with mild amusement. She had used her Byakugan to take in vital information about her next potential opponent. Unfortunately the first fight had seemed to be a battle of strength instead of intelligence. The smaller boy was much weaker than the one known as Jei. Jei himself seemed half-hazard, carefree about his own safety. He was tough, in the literal sense... but that would do him little good against Jyuken. Sadly thiugh, Jei possessed incredible strength. Rei knew that if he was to get ahold of here, the fight would be in his favor if she wasn't careful.

She had more present concerns on her mind however. The strategy against Jei would be simple. Katsuo was another story. He was a shinobi of tactics and versatility. Much like Rei herself, thought Katsuo possessed greater ninjutsu than Rei. She stepped down into the arena from the side and walked out to the center, the broken trees all strewn around the ground. She would wait for Katsuo to also allppear before she greeted him. Naturally, raising her fist up for a fist bump because she knew that's how Katsuo would want to start their battle. Unlike their last battle however, she had a lot riding on this fight. This battle was not to just prove a point: this battle was to win. She would glance in the Hokage's direction. Being promoted to Chuunin was necassary for the mission she had been given by the Hokage. "Let's do this.
Don't hold back, because I wont."

Makoto made his way to the into the match as he had already come up with his plan seeing that he had fought Rei before. This was going to be a ranged fight no matter what. He knew the extent of Rei’s strengths and weaknesses. She sucked at long range or atleast from what he knew she did, but that wasn’t her fault she was from the Hyuga clan, which almost forced you to be superb in taijutsu but to be good in taijutsu you had to be within range. Makoto would greet Rei with the fist bump as he did last time, this time he wouldn’t use the technique to weigh her down in case it would be cheating he would just make it work in a different way although he knew she had a technique in the bag that made her faster. Makoto would assume his position as the one’s before him did, 30 meters apart from Rei so even still it gave him a him a bit of range to work with. Makoto would smile at Rei as she told him not to hold back, he didn’t intend to.

Before Kazue would call the start he would go over the fight with Rei last time. She used a technique to increase her speed greatly but even if she moved forward to attack, the jutsu Makoto had lined up would have no handseals and go against her which would be hard to avoid for her due to the change in momentum so that was a plus. She was a very good close combat fighter due to her Hyuga background which meant Makoto would need to stay atleast 10m away from her at all times. He also went over what she knew about him. She knew about his scorch due to her telling him, Mokuton, Doton and Suiton and his sound genjutsu which he didn’t intend on using against her due to her Byakugan. But Makoto had other things Rei didn’t know about such as Medical Ninjutsu, Raiton, Katon and actual Mokuton jutsu. Makoto also had expanded his chakra range by quite a bit. He would wait on Kazue’s call out, and once she did he would jump back attempting to reach the back of the wall near the lake which was around 35 meters back ready to expect Rei to rush him.

Kazue would look to make sure both opponents were ready. She then quickly repeated the rules, same as she did the contestants before them. It seemed they had fought before and were eager to fight again. She had nothing against Makoto, but she was inwardly rooting for her Rei-chan. The girl had made insane steps in the last little while and would surely offer a great show of strength at the exams. She had the utmost faith in her friend to impress her father. After beginning the match with a shout of "Hajime!" She would dash off to watch the match, ready to step in at any moment to defend either opponent. Her sharingan active to help her with this, she needed to be ready as this fight was sure to be on a completely different level.

This battle would be unlike anything Rei had yet experienced in her young but mature life. Day in and out she had trained with her father and the elders of the clan, yet she had always held back. She knew not her limits and she dared not try to test them against her own family. This fight however was different. This was a contest of skill and power between two mutually respectful friends. Holding back would be an insult to each other during this battle. Her white eyes burned with a pure fire as Makoto fist bumped her and then took up a healthy distance of thirty meters in front of her. He knows he stands no chance against me at close range... He'll likely try to combat me at range again and kite me around like before. If it comes to that, it will be a battle of attrition. I can't let him get away! she would reason as her best friend Kazue entered the arena and began repeating the rules. She knew Kazue was on her side and would step in to defend Rei's life if need-be... but Rei knew that Makoto though not holding back, wouldn't intentionally try to kill Rei. Likewise, she had no intention of killing Makoto, though she had a very good mind to beat him black and blue. It was time that their draw came to a close and a clear victor was decided; Unlike their last battle.

Somewhere in the crowd, she knew her father was watching. As was the Tsuchikage and her son she had met before, Mugetsu. She wanted to show her family: not just in Konoha, but Iwa too... That was she the future of their clan and that she was not to be trifled with. She couldn't help but smirk in the Hokage's direction just before the battle would begin. Her teacher had taught her a very troublesome technique and apparently the Hokage had witnessed the jutsu before. Rei had yet to let anyone know who had taught her these unorthodox techniques, but she had a feeling that the Hokage would know immediately.

She turned her head back to Kazue and Makoto, winking a bit playfully at Kazue just before the kunoichi said to begin. Just as her best friend uttered the word and dashed away, both Makoto and Rei would dash in the direction of the lake. Rei rushing Makoto's location. It was not a simple rush however. As her foot first left the ground to chase after Makoto, two tenketsu points inside of her body activated, activating the first and econd gate in quick succession. Her body bolstered to become stronger, faster and more durable, she launched forward with her lead foot in Makoto's direction. Her second step, she performed the clone seal below her waist to be somewhat subtle as smoke appeared on both sides of her and two shadow clones emerged. One on her left and one on her right.

She would use that smoke transformation of her clones as a visual trigger for a genjutsu she had learned. If Makoto had watched her make the shadow clones, he would fall susceptible to the effect of her Genjutsu. Though he had meant to run towards the water, his body would start running in the opposite direction and straight towards her and her clones even though his mind would mislead him to believe him to be running towards the water's edge.

Regardless of whether her illusion worked or not on Makoto, her and her two clones would rush at Makoto at speed much faster than Makoto had seen last time. The two clones on her sides would suddenly grab her arms as she extended them and they threw her forward at as she kicked off of their hips to further strengthen the leap. She had kicked off in such a way to give herself a great spinning momentum as she released chakra from all around her body- performing the Palm Rotation while mid-air to create a spiraling spear of chakra right in Makoto's position. While she attempted to attack Makoto straight forward with both a powerful attack and defense, her two shadow clones would take up their own attack from both sides- a pincer strike while Rei would attempt to hold Makoto's attention with the large flashy dangerous attack from the front.

Her clones would use the Illusion Step- bolstering their speed to a frightening pace, so perfectly timed with her attack and so quickly that they would sprout three illusions of each two shadow clones to all attack Makoto just as they would reach near him. Six illusions which would be perceived as real, would attack in unison along both sides of Rei's rotation spear attack. The two illusions closest to Rei's spear attack would strike with sweeping low kicks to trip up Makoto's legwork to prevent him from countering with a solid stance. The next two closest to Rei would lunge forward with abadon with high kicks aimed towards Makoto's waist. The last two illusions farthest from Rei would circle farther around Makoto's backside and leap high to either axe-kick him if he escaped, or elbow-crash him from behind if Rei's attack missed him. While this happened, the two shadow clones would have circled even farther around Makoto, behind both sides of his shoulders in his blind spot.

With the byakugan, all three of Rei could see in near-perfect clarity. Clone #one of Makoto's left shoulder, back ten meters would prepare in anticipation in case Rei's calculated attack failed and Makoto managed to counter. Its eyes trained on Makoto, the Byakugan would take in any trace of information his chakra circulatory system would reveal and use that information to perform the Replacement Technique with the real Rei if her plan failed and Makoto managed to land a powerful attack.

Much like the first clone, Clone#2 would also train its eyes on Makoto's chakra circulatory system, but in this case for an entirely different reason. It would raise its arm forward suddenly, revealing to the crowd Rei's recent invention- her range launcher. A wrist bow launcher with a steel ball cartridge loaded into it. The clone would fire it from behind Makoto on his blind side of the shoulder and then quickly perform the clone seal. The single steel ball fired at Makoto would turn into one hundred steel balls to barrage Makoto as a storm at fifteen meters around him. Only it wouldn't stop with a simple storm of steel. The balls would connect altogether around Makoto's position and form a powerful web made of chakra to encircle and trap him before tightening down to bind him.

Maybe he hadn't been fully prepared, or maybe Rei's tactic had been too much. Excessive to say the least. Some could argue that point due to the amount of chaka Rei had spent at the start of the match. Her chakra pool was just above the normal reserve amount. She possessed fine chakra control and a large chakra pool. Her plan was not so foolhardy however, the shadow clones served as more than ovwhelming numbers. Her friend Makoto had been taken by the overhwelming number of Rei's fast attacks.

One, three, five, seven consecutive attacks. The first had been Rei's rotating spear rotation that slammed into Makoto's front side. The six illusions struck him next, stealing his footing and then following up with attacks to his ribs and axe-kicks to his shoulderblades. The second shadow clone fired the trigger on the launcher and launched a powerfully coated chakra net from behind Makoto and captured his as the steel balls surrounded him and connecred to the chakra web. Rei herself would have also been caught in that Web trap, if not for her first shadow clone which used the replacement techNiue to swap her out.

Shadow clone 2 and Rei would stand outside the net, ten meters away and would be looking at Makoto, unmistakably in an awkward situation where he was physically too close to shadow clone 1 of Rei. She nor her clones said anything. Instead they concentrated on their chakra pools, focusing on rebuilding as much chakra for the fight against the tank Jei.

Upon witnessing the brutality displayed in this round, Kazue would be able to say she was beyond pleased with her friend. Appearing in the center of the arena again she would raise her hand in the air, "Winner of round two, Rei Hyuuga! We will now hold a one hour intermission to provide time for our competitors to rest up and prepare for the next battle." With that, she would approach Rei and motion to her clone and Makoto in a rather compromising position. "Good luck explaining that one to your old man." she would then vanish to head back to the stands.

After an hour, the competitors would arrive on the arena floor, Jei Kudo and Rei Hyuuga to compete in the finals round. She would raise her hand to draw attention before quickly running through the rules a final time and then announcing, "The Final match between Jei Kudo and Rei Hyuuga, Hajime!" And she was gone again, on stand by to protect whichever fighter needed it first.

Jei had ate and taken a nap, and was cutting it immensely close to not actually arriving. He'd arrive much slower to the lank than one might want in most cases. He had a plan. He had a very specific plan that he'd hop in it shortly after they started. Once the other lady would arrive, and the match would start, he'd swiftly run towards the lake and try to hop in it. This was a really do or die thing, as if it were to go by his logic, he'd be able to grab ankle and yoink into the water. She was watching though so maybe she wouldn't be that dumb?

Jei wasn't entirely sure, but what he was sure of, was what he would do directly after the lady who had said go the first time, said go the second time. He'd bolt to the water and slide into it, ready to combat the spooky lady in the water. Even if she would manage to cut him off, he'd try to continue getting to the lake because that was the plan. He wanted to get into the lake and grab the ankle and throw. Or maybe just swim around until the opponent gave up.

Rei had rested a full hour, regaining her chakra and relaxing her muscles as she awaited the alloted tI'm to pass before resuming to the finale of the Chuunin exam. She had defeated Makoto, though she was certain that her friend with dreams of becoming hokage, would come back stronger than ever. If anything, this official match before the eyes of the village and many kage- would be a eye opener and allow Makoto to realize that he possessed desire unmatched by his potential. Rei didn't pity Makoto for losing, she knew that he was a smart person and he would learn more than Rei would from this encounter.

Finally, the time passed and the finale was ready to begin. She made her way down slowly to the stadium once more, her mind going over the events of Jei's first battle with the other Genin. Jei was a strong and durable opponent, yet he was very slow. Rei was quite fast and though not physically as strong as Jei, she possessed jyuken. For the two competitors, it would be a competition to whomever got the first solid strike.

She arrived first at the stadium and arrived waited Jei to return. Rei blinked and activated her byakugan as Jei appeared and Kazue appeared once more to repeat the rules and announce the beginning of the match. For the time, Rei would ignore Kazue's previous comment about how Rei's shadow clone and Makoto had ended up in a questionable position beneath her launcher's net.

Much like the first match, Rei would rely on both body and weapon. Jei took off towards the water. Rei recalled how he had tried to drown the last competitor she knew if he grabbed her, he would do the same thing. She chased him though, quickly but kept a safe distance out of his reach as she chased him exactly where he had wanted to go. Yet she would stop before reaching the water and raise both of her launchers as Jei would leap into the water. First, she fired a loaded package of steel balls at Jei. QuIk handseals were placed just before the balls reached the surface of the water. Ten steel balls turnew into one hundred and ten steel balls as they entered the water in a wide 5 meter net around Jei's position. A powerful chakra net would appear and connect each and every one of the hundred and ten steel balls. This would create and thick entangling chakra net to snare Jei and shrink around him.

The goal was to create a canopy around and above Jei's body to steal his movements in the warea and drop his whole body beneath the surface of the water. He had tried to drown the last shinobi, it was only fair for her to rob him of his limbs and force him to sink in the water while bound. If successful, she would fire her second launcher- this time a piercing arrow filled with powerful chakra and once again, handsigns. Her arrow aimed at where Jei's body would be in the water. Loosing the arrow, one hundred and one arrows would sprout from her single arrow just before reaching her target Jei. Yet only one arrow held the powerful piercing chakra attack. That arrow was aimed at Jei's left thigh.

There was a lot of things flying at the boy, and he was mildly disgruntled by this fact. Jei didn't have the speed to dodge them, and while he was durable enough to tank them, the second the arrow went into his thigh, he deigned it time to give in. This wasn't the fun exams that he wanted.

"I give up!"

He yelled it out, so that everyone could hear it. The first rounds of the exams were the fun parts, but this lady was going so hard and making things difficult. blech. That was no fun. That was never fun. He'd swim with a basically useless leg and most of his body being hindered by the nets to shore, and drag himself on it. He'd get rid of the arrow in his thigh and lay on the shore.

He had given in rather fast, yes. But it *was* jei here. He wasn't renowned for his ability to hang in when things got even a smidge difficult, and he was rather full. So he wasn't hungry or angry. He just didn't feel like making the effort to move with all these hindrance. He would fall asleep shortly after crawling onto shore, and his snores would be rather loud.
