| - Mission:
Name: Maintain the Vegetable Garden Location: Any Main Village Rank: D Team: Optional Client: Local Farmer Rewards: 200 EXP and 500 Ryo Description: The local farmer of your village has gone out of town for the day and requests that a ninja stops by and waters the crop and harvest the crop of the blueberry field. Get this done by the time he returns tonight and will give you a nice reward of Ryo!
It was about time, the time for the sun to rise and swiftly eradicate the darkness of the night. Conventionally, Jin would be asleep in his bed tired from either training or a mission. However, this wasn’t the case this day. Jin was up and dressed in his signature attire: the overcoat and the white mask, along with his shiny ninja thingies underneath. And he was standing in the middle of a vegetable field. And he wasn’t alone either. What brought upon such weird circumstances? Well, a mission of course.
The village’s farmer had had it with vegetables so he decided to take a day off and work on a fruit farm that happened to be on the mountains, far far away. And as vegetables are like girlfriends in the way that they require constant care and will not stand their significant other looking away from them, the village had assigned Jin and another one beside him to care for them. And that was why Jin was standing in the middle of a vegetable field before dawn broke.
First thing’s were first, he had to find out what they needed to do, discuss it with his team mate and then distribute the workload. Now, Jin was in the middle of the field but what was his teammate doing?
Well, I can’t say what they’re doing until the rper rping that character actually writes what’s going on there.
So, let’s just say Jin was awaiting the information about their teammate for the time being.

| Kirito had arrived to the garden to meet with Jin. They were taking on a D-rank missipn together today. Supposedly, they were to water a farmers crops and pick the blueberries from a field nearby. It wouldnt take too long, so Kirito wasn't too worried about it. Looking to Jin, he would let him dictate which task Kirito himself would take on. He was dressed in his usual garb, as was Kirito. A black Gi tied with a white sash tooped with his signature white Haori.
"Ohayo Jin, which do you want me to do? Picking blueberries or watering the crops? Either is fine."
He was straight to business, because if they played their cards right, they could take on more than just this single mission today. More missions was more money so it was definitely not all bad.

| Jin was the taller of the two but actually, lower in rank and his teammate also happened to be his sensei: Kirito-senpai. Though younger in age, the white haired boy was skilled in kenjutsu and who knew what more. Jin looked up to Kirito-senpai in terms of his skill in bukijutsu because that also happened to be a field of interest for him.
He greeted his senpai with a bow and then replied, ”Ohayo senpai, I’ll take care of the watering if you don’t mind picking the blueberries”. Jin too didn’t mind which task he would get to do. He would have actually preferred if his senpai had designated him a task instead the modest swordsman asked Jin for it. In terms of character, Jin’s teacher wasn’t too bad either. If his senpai agreed, then Jin would proceed and head towards the place where he would acquire the watering can.
The farmer expected the genins, so he left his tools in a wooden shack and left them unlocked. As Jin was informed of this fact, he knew exactly where to find the tools. He located the wooden shack, opened the door; walked in and began looking for the watering can. By this time, the sun had begun to rise and the darkness was now getting massacred by the light.
It took Jin a couple of minutes to find the can but he managed to do so. Then he began the search for the watering source. The well wasn’t as difficult to find because well, it’s a well; it’s right there. So he found it and began lowering the bucket tied to a rope in the well. After filling the bucket completely, he pulled the slightly heavy thing with the ropes. This was no easy task for a slim build genin. For a farmer, it was probably as simple as scratching the back of their head but for Jin, who had never done it before, it was kinda hard. He managed to bring the bucket up though, with the rope. Thankfully, Jin was also wearing gloves so there were no rope burns.
Considering the size of the field though, he didn’t know how long those would last but for now, they were good. It was only the first time. Watering the whole field would probably take him at least 15 buckets, so there was a ton of work for him to do. For now, he lifted up the watering can and began watering the vegetables.

| Kirito would simply nod to his psuedo-student and take off over to the blueberry portion of the field. It would take even someone with his speed some time to get through the picking with as many bushes of blueberries. Lucky for him, he knew the Shadow Clone jutsu.
Forming nine clones, they each took off into the field at an alarming pace. Picking blueberries left and right. It took them roughly ten minutes before they were finished. Knowing that he had fibished, he brought all the blueberries to the area they were told to leave them amd went to check on Jin.
"Would you like a hand there, Jin-san?" | |

| The watering can was slightly heavy and the field felt endless. As he continued to pour and then fill the watering can, his breathing pattern grew faster and he began sweating. His muscles began getting harder and slowly the pain began to rush through his arms, his shoulders, his collars and his back. Despite the gentle pain he had to endure and the effort he had to pour, he continued to work. This was a lot harder than conventional workouts. While working on the farm, he realized how difficult things can be even if they appear simple and easy. It was a lesson he was determined to remember for everyone; something to live by.
Jin did not notice the jutsu that his sensei had used, he was too busy with the watering stuff. By the time his sensei arrived, Jin had only done 3 cycles and he had a dozen remaining. However, instead of asking for help he decided he would do his share by himself; it was only fair and besides this was sort of like training.
”I’d like your permission to do this myself senpai. I can use the exercise”, he would request Kirito. And then hoping that Kirito would allow it, Jin would continue.
The process was simple, empty the can over the vegetables then go back to the well, fill it and do it again until the entire vegetable field was watered properly. And that simple process would take all of Jin’s morning and most of his afternoon. He had never done it before, so he couldn’t have been speedy. By the time he was finished, he was more tired than any training he had ever done before. Finishing his work, he would find the energy to put the watering can to its designated position, say farewell to his sensei for now and then head back to his home for a well deserved nap. He would probably stop by a place because he hadn’t eaten anything either but that depended on what came first: hunger or tiredness.
