Appearance: Standing at just over five feet and weighing less than a hundred pounds, Suzu is small. Being small can be pretty helpful, though. With a body shape between straight and pear, few would ever call her "curvy". Lacking in a certain department (you know which one), she still makes due. Hell, she often prefers it that way, since she can wear pretty much any shirt. Suzu's skin is smooth, and has an average complexion. Her hair is a dark, muddy orange, while her eyes are a deep but light green. Her legs and arms are long and thin. Her face retains some of the youthful chubbiness, making her appear a bit younger than she truly is.

Her hair is mid length and wild, sticking all over the place. Even if it were to be flattened and left to hang, it would barely reach mid neck. Left to its own, it pokes out from the back of her head and can vary wildly from pointing upwards and downwards. Her ears are easily hidden behind her hair. When the front of her hair decides to point upwards, she appears to have a very large forehead, and large eyes. Not enough to fall into the uncanny valley, but enough to be noticeable.

Personality: Suzu has a... quirky personality. She is very personable, but easily distracted. Once she sets her mind to something though, it is going to get done. She's a bit of a tomboy at times, and her favorite recreation is various types of wrestling. She was actually sad the day she officially became a ninja, because that banned her from most of the places she liked to take part in. None of them legitimate, of course.

Suzu can hop between topics with ease, using even the smallest of segues. Frequently none at all. It can take great effort from her, or those around her, to keep her on topic. The chance at a good old fight, however, can frequently keep her "tuned to one station."

This has upsides and downsides. With her thoughts constantly dancing, she may come up with something, that leads to a thought, that leads to another, so on and so forth, up until she bursts out with a statement completely irrelevant to the current topic, let alone the current topic. In a fight, however, her constant jumping of attention is something that others sometimes have to spend years training for. Sometimes it works out to be bad at paying attention!
Character History: Suzu has an... interesting past. Her father claimed to be of a prestigous clan of high status. This was of course a blatant lie, though not as large of one as you might imagine. He, however, was convinced of this, and refused to believe otherwise, going on to force the ideals of his clan upon his wife and daughter. Suzu's mother was a simple lady. She came from a simple town. She was chosen by the man, not out of love, but because he could 'afford' her. Yes, he set up his own marriage with her parents. An utterly detestable event, but the poor woman had no choice in the matter. The man was, of course, thoroughly convinced that he could pass his blood line to the child, as it would override whatever filthy blood would originate from the wife. He would have married within the clan, but for whatever reason no one would take him.

He was simply exhuberant when his first child was a daughter, but he was still upset. Her hair was orange with eyes of green. He had black hair and brown eyes. It took a trip to the doctor for the wife man to accept that the child could in fact still be his. But they had not gone to the doctor for that purpose.

The child progressed normally to the age of three. This worried the man. He knew of how things were meant to go. But his wife knew too, and she had a counter. "The child was born premature, her growth has been behind her entire life. She barely lived once birthed! She was like to be several years behind. That she is at expected levels is simply a miracle, and must be the result of your prestigous blood."

She had to spit the instant he was out of earshot.

The man drilled his daughter, seeking to achieve the teachings early, as he would be unable to train her once she came of age. She was home schooled, isolated. Her attention would drift every which way, never able to focus on him. All that earned her was a hand or a belt.

It was at the age of thirteen that the father truly became upset. His daughter had... matured... and yet had not manifested anything that he had expected. He confronted his wife. She confessed to loving another at the time of conception. "I never loved you. I would never have your child." She had been pregnant before they wed. The child had not been premature, the story was a fabrication, made possible only by the man's absence at birth and the cooperation of the doctor, the father. He had chosen to read a book.

The man was enraged. The daughter was frightened. She had overhead it all. She had run.

She returned the next day, only to find the house locked down. Tape around the building, officials walking through it. She asked what happened.

The answer is probably predictable.

She threw away the name of the man she was not related to. She threw away the name he had given her. She kept only the nickname of the mother whom she had loved. She was taken in by the orphanage. Her prior training had not been in vain, as her aptitude was quickly recognized. While who actually approved it is unknown, and likely insignificant, Suzu prefers to believe that the Kazekage themselves signed the order for her to attend a special course sequence to not only integrate her into a society she had been kept from, but also teach her the ways of the ninja, rather than the ways of her father's legacy.

At the age of fifteen, Suzu had already managed to learn some of what she had missed. It was doubtful she would ever be truly "normal", but she was no longer incompetent. She liked people, and however much she was stunted in her youth, she still quickly took to them.

She also proved the ideal vessel.

The previous "container" of the Nibi was nearing his death. They would need a new one. An orphan was the perfect choice. Someone without parents to raise a fuss. Someone with a lot to owe the village. Someone already prepared with the ability to handle one. Suzu's courses changed.

Social interaction fell off drastically. She was taught to fight against... things. People literally just pumping chakra into her belly. She was told to not throw up.

She... rarely succeeded.

They wanted more time to prepare her. They needed more time to prepare her. But the elder man would no longer wake up. He was not long for this world. So they jumped right to it.

Several buildings were destroyed that night before Suzu was finally contained. The pain of the process, the rage of the foreign chakra. Suzu cracked. Matatabi let it happen. She was knocked out, contained. When she woke up, there was no memory of the previous night. Not of the pain of the procedure, not of the events that followed it. But Matatabi was there. And she was... complacent. "About time they put me back in a woman."

Classes continued normally. She was integrated slowly. Her transition into being a genin was not abrupt, like most. She performed... technically they were missions, but realistically they were errands. She would tag along with a genin group, getting to know them. It was finally at the age of 18 that she officially became a genin.
