Name :Tiěquán (Iron Fist)
Origins : Created and developed by Amaya Fumetsu
Characteristics : Instead of facing an opponent nose to nose, practitioners face their opponents nose to ear, meaning they stand off just to the side of being directly in front of the other. Standing at roughly a 30 degree angle outside of the opponents lead shoulder, allowing full power and range to both arms, and not just one unlike most styles. Legs being at about shoulder length apart to give equal weight distribution, allowing for quick dodges but also a strong foundation.
Unlike most fighting that is done with pure tension, this fighting style is rooted in relaxed fighting, allowing ones movements to flow naturally, and quickly, and due to not always being tensed up, allows to longer periods of combat.
One of the main components of this fighting style is keeping contact with the opponent, feeling their muscles flex and guessing their next movement that way, this is also known as sticky hands. The Second component of this fighting style is no wasted movement, most defensive moves are usually paired or followed immediately by an offensive movement, switch the tables on the opponent in that very moment, chaining movements and attacks together, keeping the opponent on the defensive.
History :This Technique was created by Amaya with the help of the Hyuuga clan head, and her Sensei, Rei Hyuuga's Father. This style was to compensate for not being able to Teach Amaya the techniques of the Gentle fist, as much as he wanted to, the clan would be to upset for it. So instead, he helped her develop this, by being a sparring opponent, and helping her to develop techniques in specific to counter the gentle fist.
But Rather then countering it after being hit, it was more of not being hit, and then controlling the fight from that point on. With this he ensured that his own daughter would one day be humbled when she needed it the most.
