Description: This jutsu generates a defensive barrier around the user capable of defending/negative one jutsu of equivalent rank. Jutsus that are less in rank do half the affect. The speed the jutsu is generated at is equivalent to the speed of the character. The shape of the barrier is a spherical dome that also protects from attacks from under the ground; so you can’t dig underneath it.

Example: A B-rank barrier can negate a single B-rank jutsu or Two C-rank jutsus or 4 D-rank jutsus or 8 E-rank jutsus.

Requirements: Character specific.

Again, limited to non-physical and non-limited ninjutsu.

But this is meant to defend against attacks. It won't be able to defend against physical attacks? Barriers should be able to do that.

As far as i can tell this isnt a physical barrier, but a fuuinjutsu barrier. So it protects against water, fire, lightning, wind, light, pure chakra, but not earth, wood, crystal, steel or taijutsu/buki.

It does have a physical form. We have seen fuinjutsu interact with physical things and have physical form.

For instance, consider the http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Adamantine_Attacking_Chains or the http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Blocking_Technique_Absorption_Seal.

In both these examples, if it's a jutsu using chakra or a physical attack; it's being interacted with. Now why would a limited be an exception in this scenario? It shouldn't be.
