Eye of an Eternal

The Journey back from the Land of the Fire was enlightening. His sparring with Kazue-san, the Hokage's daughter. Them sharing one of the deepest things a Uchiha could share with another. The Mangekyou Sharingan. There was an even greater legend that even Satomi had been unaware of. Sato had just unlocked only one of the great eye techniques of the Mangekyo Sharingan. The great Amaterasu. However the Lord Hokage gave new history on his clans and their secrets.

There was a debilitating curse attached to the ultimate eyes of the Uchiha. It required consistent use for one to learn all the properties that it gave you. It came with powers that were destined to change the world. They were to rival the bijuus and soon even that of a god.

Sato was still bandaged riding back to the village. Opting to use help from a carrier. Ditching his ANBU outfit for his Uchiha one. He made the trip back blindfolded. His spar with the Kazue seemed to trigger his healing.

The box like carrier was different for him. He never needed to be carried anywhere even with his many missions with the ANBU. He completely handled them with his own powers. Never needed to be resuced by anyone. Nowadays he was the one who brought his comrades back from the front lines to safety. This was the first time the shoe was on the other foot.

The difference however here was merely recovering from a surgery by an Masterful Medical Ninjutsu specialist. But not to injury. He was recovering getting the eyes of Kazue. One of the most powerful ninjas in Konoha next to her father the Kosuke. There was a new power now inside of Satomi. He could feel it brimming. It was only a matter of time.

He neared the village gates and as custom there was a escort ready to greet as at the gates. The Mizukage's personal aid. "Master Sato. Lord Mizukage is waiting for you in his chambers. He wants you there at once. So much for getting some rest and sleeping a little more until his eye healed. The Kage wanted to see for himself just how strong Sato had gotten. This would mean he would be at par with the Mizukage himself and could be a danger to his position.

So it seemed he would need to train the man to take the position. Satomi did not know the true extent of how far his powers could stretch. But it was something akin to his feeling. He felt like his power was limitless. Maybe he was imagining things. Or maybe he wasn't.

The carriage carried on through the village gates without a hitch at the side of the Kages Aid. They were uninterrupted again as he was to be hidden from the public. Everyone in the village knew who he was by sight.

He walked in unassisted to the Mizukage's chambers. Every footstep he had taken around this complex was etched into his brain. The trip had been made when he was Genin possessing immense strength and fortitude for such a young Genin. Then when he made Chuunin it became frequent as he had been inducted into the ANBU ever since.

Sato pushed pass the door by himself. He stopped about halfway into the room. He knew to wait and bow before saying anything. "My lord."

"Satomi, how was the mission," Illya asked. "Why have you comeback bandaged?"

Sato knew that the Kage already had an idea what happen. He sent him there to confirm his suspicions. And he was correct. "You know why Illya."

"Correct. Now show me the great gift from Kosuke."

"I don't think that it is-" He was cut short.

"Show me."

"Yes Lord Mizukage." He had been unsure until then but yes. He had felt ever since he had entered the village. Sato began to unravel the bandages around his eyes slowly. The moment they were to see light it would be fully activated. The reason he was anticipating was actually making him nervous. Why was she so interested in his eyes all of a sudden.

It was getting closer. Until the finally wrapping fell to the ground. "Open your eyes Sato." Illya ordered.

Sato opened his eyes. The was a gleam as they changed shape and turned into a new shape. The eyes of the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. "Brilliant!" Illya said aloof with joy.

The power of the Mangekyou Sharingan had been like a loud humming to his chakra and his mind. But the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan was a peaceful hum. It blended his soul as if it this was the true vision of life that was meant for a Uchiha. But not any Uchiha member can reach heights unknown like this. This was much different than what was said in legend. The feeling was intoxicating, this was true mastery of the Uchiha lineage.

"Time to test out those beautiful eyes Satomi," Illya said before she charged forward at full speed. Almost disappearing in a flash, she reappeared beside Sato and threw a flurry of punches at Satomi. The Uchiha was barely bother by the attack as he was marveling at his own new powers vastly different from before. He dodged the attacks from the Mizukage as if it was a forethought. He could see every movement she made before she made. Before it was relevant because of how close their speed was but now it seemed as if it was slow motion.

He ducked, slid sideways, parried and blocked. He had sparred with Illya before but was a Taijutsu specialist. She had never been defeated by him before. However something was readily different. His flow of combat was unparalleled now. He merely could anticipate every single movement that she would make. She brought a swift kick towards his head. He stepped forward blocked it with his hands and twirled her around and she flipped backwards.

His defense was amazing. There was nothing getting past his eyes. Very hard to make a move on someone who can read your body movements before they can even make it. "This power is unfathomable," Satomi finally said.

"Now you see what I wanted you to go now Satomi."

"Yes, but why me?"

"Because you are special."

"To this village. To this country. To this world. I had heard of the old Gods including Kosuke. I thought maybe in our plight for peace he'd be able to broker it. And also show you your truth path here. You will be Mizukage soon. And you need to know how to control your power and evolve. For the better of this village and yourself."

"I know what I must do. I have always felt it. A man displaced from his home village. These eyes will give birth to a new future. And I will pioneer it."

His eyes were shinning with power. He could feel the coils in his eyes radiate with undeniable power. He had finally reached the pinnacle of the Sharingan. Or so he thought. His eyes would reveal much in his quest to become the New God.
