Helping Out

K needed some quick cash and the only way to do that as a kunoichi was to complete a mission. She was looking for something easy and simple that way she wouldn't have to waste much time. Quickly looking over the missions posted Kireina grabbed one that read "babysit" without fully reading it. She wasn't really the nurturing type but she didn't see how hard watching a kid for a few hours could be. Swiftly making her way to the residence of the man who placed the request Kireina knocked on the door. A few moments later the man greeted her. He introduced himself as Mr. Steven and explained that he had to go out for the night and where he would be in case she needed him. Kireina nodded and mhm'd the whole time without a word until he told her his daughter's bedtime. "Don't you think that's a little late for a kid?" She asked. Her question caused a brief confusion in the man but he soon realized she must not have read the entire request. "My daughter is fifteen." He said with a smile. "Here, I want you to meet her before I go." He said as he knocked on her bedroom door before entering.

The girl was laying in her bed playing a video game while listening to music through headphones. She glanced from her game to the figures in the doorway but paid them no attention. When her father called out to her she slid the headphones down around her neck. "This is Kireina she'll be watching you while I'm gone." The girl gave K a dirty look before insulting her. "You look pretty old to be a genin." Twisty glared back at the little brat and corrected her. "I'm actually a jounin." The girl blew her breath and replaced her headphones, returning to her game. "I'm sorry about that but you know how teenagers are." "Yeah." Kireina replied. This was going to be a long night. Mr. Steven left a few moments later and not being much of a TV watcher, K got a book and sat outside of the girl's room. There was no way she was going to sneak out under the watch of Twisty. The night was quiet and went by fairly fast, Kireina didn't know whether it was her eyes or the evil that could be felt emanating from them when they locked eyes but the girl didn't try anything the whole time. Mr. Steven returned and Kireina was not only free but compensated, not a half bad night.

Mission:

The night was still young so Kiriena headed back to the mission board to look for another job to do. She found one that was perfect although a date would usually be ending by this time she was still going to go through with it. She just hoped that the client wouldn't mind her gender seeing as the request was to go on a date with the man's daughter. But whatever K would cross that bridge when she got to it. Just as before the woman swiftly made her way over to the client's house and knocked on the door. Being greeted by Mr. Egg she explained who she was and what she was there for. He seemed a bit unsure how his daughter would react but he was desperate for to be in a relationship. He invited Twisty in and called his daughter to the living room, he then explained that she was here to take her on a date.

Kireina could tell by her initial reaction that the girl thought K was pretty so when her father said that they were going out she had to hold back her blushing. "You're crazy, it's way too late for that!" The girl spat out. Slipping into her role for the night of the perfect gentleman, Kireina breached the gap between them. She softly lifted the woman's hand to her lips. "I'll promise you the best hour of your life." She said with a wink. After that, the woman's face lit up like a light. She snatched her hand away and ran back into her room. Mr. Egg was so disappointed especially after even he was moved by Kireina's action. But just as quickly as she had left the woman returned in a little black dress. Kireina smirked, she might not be the girliest girl but she knew what that dress meant.

In order to match Kireina used the transformation jutsu to change her outfit into a black pantsuit with a skinny tie and a shirt the color of the woman's eyes. Extremely impressed the woman ran over to Kireina and rushed out the door while saying a rushed goodnight to her father. Once they were out Kireina took her to a place to get some rare sweets, the place was really shady but it was worth it. The two women walked along the beach enjoying the snack over a light conversation. Kireina had been internally keeping track of time and just five minutes before eleven they were steps away from the woman's house. Kireina walked her to the door and it was at this time on a normal date that the woman would give the man a good night kiss but instead, Kireina got dumped! The woman explained that she had a really nice time but the stares they got from other people made her really uncomfortable and she couldn't deal with it. Twisty pretended to be saddened but told her that she understood and for good measure gave the woman a kiss on the cheek. The next morning she would receive her payment in the mail.

Mission:

Along with her payment, Kireina received an invitation from Mr. Egg to come try some food at his shop. He's asking for an honest review and says that he's willing to pay her for her time. Twisty didn't have anything else to do at the moment so she didn't see why not. Kireina had woken up a tad late that morning so once she had gotten washed and dressed and finished her morning exercises she headed over to Mr. Egg's shop for brunch. When she arrived the man excitedly rushed over to greet her and escorted her to a personal table.

He expressed his gratitude for the other night and told her how his daughter had decided to start dating. She was going to accept any offer she got while in town today. K simply told him that she was glad she could help. Mr. Egg brought her something to drink to her table and the remote to the TV and went into the kitchen to start cooking. About twenty minutes or so later he returned with three dishes he wanted her to try. "Here goes nothing." She said and dug in. The first dish was Shrimp Au Gratin.

A simple dish shrimp, milk, butter, onion, cheese, and breadcrumbs. She could taste every one of them, it was perfect for a working snack or quick lunch. Kireina gave Mr. Egg a thumbs up while finishing the dish. The next one looked ok but smelled completely bizarre, something you ask only a close friend to taste. Mr. Egg called it Hakarl.

Kireina took a bite just as he said it was decomposed shark, her jaws immediately stopped moving in response to her shock. But oddly enough she found them moving again after a few seconds. "This is definitely an acquired taste." She told him before moving on to the third and final dish. Mr. Egg said that it was a durian sorbet. K picked up her spoon with her left hand and scooped some out. The moment it hit her tongue her face twisted, she was tempted to spit it out but that would be disrespectful so she forced it down. "That one is a hard miss." Mr. Egg was a little sad to hear that as it was his favorite one but he accepted her reviews and slid an envelope across the table before taking the empty dishes to the kitchen to be washed.

Mission:

On her way home from Mr. Egg's shop, Kireina ran into an elderly woman who seemed to be searching for something. When she spotted K's headband she rushed over as fast as her old body would allow her. Which was actually quite impressive for how old she seemed to be. The old woman said she needed a ninja's help to find her lost locket. It's really special to her because it holds a picture of her and her late husband. Twisty could sense how distraught the woman was over it so she decided to help her. The first thing she had the woman to do was to retrace her steps. It took an hour and a half to figure out where all that she had been that day. After checking each of those places and not finding it K and the old woman went back to her house to search there.

This would be easier than searching outside for it for K because she possed the byakugan. Doing a quick sweep of the house she turned up nothing. The woman insisted she looked again but this time without using her "special powers". The old lady was sweet and make K smile so she agreed, they spent the entire day searching for it but still couldn't find the locket. The woman offered K a meal for all her hard work, it was then as she was sitting down at the table. Finally eye level with the woman that she saw the very thing they had been looking for. Kireina pointed it out and the woman was overjoyed. After supper she gave Kireina a hug a slipped some money into her weapon pouch since her outfit didn't have any pockets. Later that night when she got home Kireina discovered the donation and it made her smile. The woman just wanted someone to spend time with.
