You may be wondering, "What if i'm on a team, what benefits do I get?" Well, when you are a member of a registered team, you gain a +10% bonus to all mission rewards from missions done as a FULL team. Not only this, but if you have a Jounin Sensei, you may learn any jutsu they know for 25% off the total post count. If you are not a member of a team, but you have a Mentor, you do not gain the mission bonuses, but you do get 50% off the total post count for any jutsu they teach you. [THIS EXCLUDES LIMITEDS]

Requirements for being a Jounin Sensei: To be a Sensei one must be at least A-2 and have the Full Jounin Rank. Next you must have a team of three people Genin and up. These cannot be NPC's.

Requirements for being a Mentor: To become a Mentor, you must be at least Tier S-3 and have at LEAST full Jounin rank. Next, you can only take on a single student at a time. Should you decide to switch students, you must wait one full OOC month from the time one student leaves to the time you may take on the next.
