Name: A Field Promotion!
Location: Deep Ravines near Kumogakure
Rank: B-Rank
Team: None
Client: Boken Kotsu
Rewards: Promotion to Special Jounin, 600 EXP
Description: [SPECIAL JOUNIN STATUS FOR THIS MISSION IS WAIVED, AND INSTEAD, B-3 TIER IS REQUIRED] Boken Kotsu, an A-1 Class Jounin, has been instructed to lead a group of promising Genin on their first B-Rank mission to retrieve a hostage held by a rogue faction of low ranked (D-C) missing ninja. They are hidden in a rather formidable bunker that is burrowed into a mountain in one of the ravines near Kumogakure. The group was ambushed due to incorrect information given by village officials when assigned the mission, and Boken Kotsu was severely injured by a surprise attack. Before Roku could react, his other two teammates, Saike Chirita, and Goren Laggia, were captured as well. Boken and Roku reason that the attackers were a part of the rogue faction and would have taken their teammates to relatively the same area as the original hostage. Roku has been temporarily given command to retrieve his teammates with Boken's aide, with the promise that, upon completion of both missions, he would receive the rank of Chuunin permanently. Upon successful completion of the mission, and Boken's report on Roku's performance, the village officials decide that it would make sense to give Roku a promotion to Special Jounin, instead of Chuunin.

Description: [INSTEAD OF SPECIAL JOUNIN RANK, B-3 TIER IS REQUIRED FOR THE ASSIGNMENT OF THIS MISSION BECAUSE OF THE NATURE OF THE PURPOSE OF ITS ASSAIGNMENT] A small girl believed to have been a witness to a group of low ranked Kumogakure defectors' (D-C Rank) crimes. A team of young Genin have been chosen to retrieve the girl, led by Boken Kotsu, because the village officials believe that these Genin are talented young prospects for the future, and want one of their most trusted Jounin, Boken, to spend some time with them, teach them some things, but most importantly, to give the elders a full evaluation of their capabilities, as each of these prospects have attempted to secure higher positions of command and authority, and while that possibility isn't on the table yet, the Raikage and his associates want to know more about their applicants.
