Missions 3

Missions [in order]:

Eio had a full load ever since he returned from his promotional mission to konoha. He was doing missions all day every day, and while at first glance, that didn't prove too unusual, it was his kage's way of keeping the Aijin under control. It did have the adverse effect, at least for his kage, that Eio was growing closer to the populace, they were opening up to him more and more with each mission. This granted him opportunities for more missions and a better standing among the people of taki. His first mission on this particular day, was not one he had signed up for. It was one that he simply happened upon on his morning jog through the markets. It was during said jog that he witnessed a man stealing a rather large basket of fruits from one of the local vendors. The man was obviously a civilian thug, but he still proved too quick for the civilian stand owner to catch. Eio, however, had no trouble catching up to the man and yanking the basket from his hands without spilling a single fruit. The man then pulled a kunai on Eio, which proved to be a mistake, as it suddenly burst into dust. As the thief ran away, Eio returned the fruit to the stand owner and claimed his reward. Today would be a good day after all!

Now, he was on his way to his next mission, which qpuld actually be his first official meeting of the day. He was to aid in the cleanup and repair of a broken down building that had been damaged as the result of a gas leak within the village. The building itself was still standing, but would need to be rebuilt from the inside out due to its structural integrity. So, once he arrived at the site, he got to work. Grabbing a few studs, he went inside and started placing them at key support points to aid in holding the building up as they tore out its guts and replaced them with new studs and framing. Due to the fact he was stronger than the civilians working, and faster, he was able to get more work done for them than they would have ever gotten on their own. They actually lffered him a full time job, which was unusual due to the fact he was an outsider for the most part. By the time he had finished his part of the build, the house was coming along swimmingly. They had taken down all the old parts and were just working on adding the final touches to the initial framing. It was time for him to move on to his next mission, so he bid the workers farewell and left the area on his way to his next mission.

Well, he was on his way to the next mission on his list, before a series of shouts caught his attention, just as he was passing the academy. Leaping to stand atop the fence that surrounded the courtyard, he was not surprised to see two genin going at it in a taijutsu brawl. The only thing that made it obvious that it wasnt a school sanctioned event, was the fact that they were surrounded by a crowd of chanting students. Appearing between thr two, he would touch both of them on the arm, mid swing, but using his jutsu, he froze both of them in place. This was done by immediately sapping them of the velocity they were using only a moment ago. He would then push them to the ground, "don't fight. Its foolish." Was all he said before he released enough chakra to cause the students aroujd them to scatter back to playing or going to class. He was about to leave when he was approached by a teacher who thanked him and offered him a bit of money for doing such a service without even neexing to be asked. He accepted with a smile, a fake smile, but a smile none the less. Now he could finally get on with his mission.

His mission was very simple, he was to go and spar with a young kenjutsu student who needed some help, but mostly a confidence booster. Eio was not one for faking something just to help some brat with their confidence, but he was also very pragmatic and wanted money. So, he agreed to do it, at the behest of his own stubborn pride. Arriving to the grounds to see the boy was already doing some light work on katas, he would draw a Bokken from the pack and approach the genin. After introducing himself and asking to spar, he was immediately assaulted with flurries of strokes from the opposing wooden sword, a few of them made contact, but he was able to block most of them. The other boy clearly had some skill in the fact that he was able to keep up with a physically superior opponent, but it was not enough, as after a few short minutes of sparring, Eio landed a 'killing' blow, which signaled the ending of the match, in Eio's favor. The boy thanked him and then Eio was headed back to the academy to complete the next official mission on his list. It was nearing lunch time, so he knew that this mission would be getting started soon.

Arriving at the academy, he immediately put his guard up. It hadnt been that long since he was last here, so the thief may not show himself. Thats right, the mission now, was to capture some food thief at the request of the academy instructors. It was their way of introducing the students to ninja on missions in a semi-controlled environment. Eio watched around him as the students moved about, some eating, some playing and some studying. He was looking for anything out of the ordinary, anything that would catch his eye would be enough to investigate. The students didnt seem to be paying him much mind, but he was also pretty well hidden within the leaves of a tree in the court yard. He noticed one girl was moving around a lot to various places where students have set up to eat. She seemed to be stopping at one, talking for a bit and then leaving for another one. It didnt take him long to notice she also had a shirt full of apples that had been handed out that day to all of the students. As she talked to them, she was also stealing their apples. She would make a good kunoichi in the future, but for now, she was Eio's target. Juping down, he grabbed her and the fruits and took her to the teacher to get paid and make sure she was punished. One shouldnt steal from their fellow taki shinobi.
