Long Live the King [P]

Eio had always been a very logical and pragmatic person. He did not put in any more effort than was necessary because he failed to see purpose in going above and beyond, when he could achieve the same result with less effort. He also failed to see the point in letting something drag on when he could easily end it in one move. But, he also realized the usefulness of restraint. Today, he had officially decided that he had waited long enough. His training had gotten him to a satisfactory level and he would be going on to usurp the current 'ruler' of Takigakure. The man, Shinrin, had done little to nothing for the village in Eio's eyes. He was holding them back from being as great as they could be. He refused to ally with other villages, or even break Taki from its seclusion and neutrality. Hell, they didn't even have a running trade deal with any other villages. It was just them, fending for themselves. He had had enough of it, he also was tired of the old bastard sending him on 'suicide' missions because he didn't think he could take him out himself. He would give the old man the opportunity to step down, but if he refused, he would immediately use deadly force. No one in the village would object, pretty much everyone hates the guy, but they also don't mind the status-quo. Civilians living cushy lives while shinobi are forced to beg for scraps due to the lack of missions that come to Taki. Once he killed the man off, he could rectify all of this. But, he would extend mercy, just as Geijiro had asked him to. Just this once.

He arrived at the kage tower and immediately walked through the doors into the old man's office. He didn't give the man time to speak or even to look up from his desk. "Shinrin, I have come to relieve you of your position as kage. I will give you one chance to step down peacefully and only be banished from the village. If you do not take this opportunity, I will not hesitate to kill you." It was all he said, but it was all he needed to say. The man would catch his drift and it would be a simple, Leave or Die scenario.

The Takikage leaned back in his chair slightly as he carefully examined his new guest. "Kill me?" He repeated before responding with a simple, dry, chuckle at the thought. "Now, why would a kid like you do that? Since you're here you might as well sit down and chat. I'll make sure to get some tea ready. Even if you are an assassin, you still deserve an ounce of hospitality, correct?"

For a moment, the old man flashed the newcomer a friendly smile before standing up and giving him a sour glance out of the corner of his eye. So disrespectful the youth of today were... just who did this brat think he was talking to, anyways? Such a nerve on him to just show up and make such demands. As if he could actually enforce it.... But if there was one thing Shinrin knew, it was to never underestimate those in front of him. This assassin might be strong, but he was clearly just a bit too honorable for his own good. All he needed was a brief opening and they'd be dead in an instant.... But how should he do it?

Poison? Suddenly revealing Hachimon? Death by 1,000 cuts? Or perhaps he should just sneak a seal on the offender and be done with it all? Keep him in place until someone else could interrogate him and find out who put him up to this? The possibilities were endless....

Eio scoffed as the man offered 'hospitality' did he really think that wasn't an obvious ploy? Of course, he could be serious, but Eio was not in the mood for idle chat and tea. He was in the mood for results. "I am Eio of the Aijin clan. I have come to take over for you as Takikage. Now, this is your final chance, leave the village or die. I will not offer again." He was beginning to realize now why he never extended hands of mercy in the past. They weren't useful nor were they beneficial. Morals were means to an end. The end result justified the means to get there, even if it went against the morals of society, if the result was the same, why did it matter? The old man was trying his patience, perhaps it was on purpose, but either way, it was working. He was wary of the man though, and as he walked away with his back exposed, Eio kept his eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary. He couldn't be too careful against someone who was crafty like the man opposite to him was. Thinking of his options, he decided his first method of attack would be to attempt to burn the man to a crisp, that is, only if he did not accept his rather generous offer. After a moment or two, Eio would repeat his statement, "Which is it? Banishment or Death?" He was an impatient person, but that was because he realized the value of time. Something he would be aiding this man with in a few moments depending on his answer. Nothing to put things into perspective like death.

"No, I think I'll be just fine." Shinrin mused as he subtly reached inside of his pocket before suddenly slipping out a kunai and throwing it at the assassin. Then, he pulled out three more, then another set. And another set! Without hesitation, the Kage flung hand after hand of weapons, until, finally, he had thrown at least 32 Kunai in one extended chain of throws, all aimed at the target's torso.

"I might as well have some fun with this. Tell me, assassin, can you even deal with the most basic tools a ninja has at his disposal? If not, then you're not even worth my time!" As he spoke, he continued throwing around twelve more kunai, getting into an entirely new continuous chain of attacks as a slight smile crossed his face. Death by a thousand cuts it was, then. "Show me what you've got, clan scum!"

The man thought he could take Eio down with Kunai? Seriously? He had known the man was arrogant and hated clans, but to underestimate someone who walked into your office to kill you was a grave mistake. "You choose Death."  Not even flinching as the kunai approached, he activated his carbon wall technique. The wall formed almost instantly in front of him, protecting him from the barrage of kunai thrown by the man. It was notable, his skill at throwing kunai without warning, but not good enough. The wall was directly between Eio and Shinrin, so when Eio placed his hand on the wall to activate his next jutsu, it wouldn't be seen from the other side. Not even half of a second after the wall formed, Eio activated his Electron Repulsion technique that would send the wall hurtling at the old man at a speed and strength of 130. The suddenness of the attack would make it difficult to dodge, which meant he would need to go through it, or if he was durable enough, let it hit him and then get around it. But, should he choose that rout, Eio was prepared to unleash another jutsu, but he wouldn't start casting it until he knew it was needed, he wasn't one to waste chakra after all. Should the wall hit the old man and keep going, it would no doubt take out the wall behind it, leaving the man falling nearly six stories into the courtyard below. Should this be the case, Eio would follow swiftly.


650/750 Chakra

Jutsu used:

The Kage's eyes flicked up at the black shell as it was suddenly launched in his direction. So fast! There was barely any time to dodge it! No... there wasn't. But still, maybe it wasn't as tough as it seemed? There was only one way to find out, the only option he realistically had in this situation.... As the black wall show at him, Shinrin's left hand pointed forward, palm-first, for a fleeting moment as he exhaled sharply. He only needed this for a moment.... Gate of Opening, Open! Cherry Blossom Impact!

In one swift motion, his hand flashed with Chakra as he slid his left foot forward and delivered a punched straight, completely shattering the wall in front of him with a single blow! "WHOOO-AHHHH!!!" He involuntarily exclaimed as the entire structure was blasted apart into black shards that quickly vanished from existence. Still holding his pose, the Takikage took in a deep breath from his nose before letting out a slow huff of air from his mouth. Gate of Opening, Close.

"That's some impressive strength." He dryly mused, eyes now fully focused on his target with a cold indifference. "But if that's all you've got, I'm disappointed. You're about 10 years too early to defeat me...." Without hesitating, the man suddenly pulled back his fist to instead point two fingers from his right hand at the assassin before swiftly flicking them upwards! Instantly, all fifty of the Kunai he'd spread across the area rose off the ground as they began to fly around the room in a twister of steel!

"Haa- AH!" He exclaimed as he flicked his fingers to the left, signaling for a stream of around twenty Kunai to fly at the man from his right side, aiming at his legs! "HOO-!" Shinrin's body shifted back as he suddenly formed a similar gesture with his left hand, directing another set of thirty Kunai to fly at the assassin from behind, curving up as they aimed to strike at his neck, head, and upper back! "ASSASSIN!!!" He suddenly called as he extended his right arm, launching around twelve more kunai from his sleeve to try and strike the man straight-on, targeting the center of his chest!

[505/600 Chakra]

Eio was moderately surprised when he felt the spike in the old man's chakra levels, before he broke through the wall. He didn't have time to utilize his next technique, as the man brought his kunai to life and had them spring up in a veritable tornado of blades. They were going to come from all angles, he could feel it. So, he activated his Molecular Deceleration Field. Everything within a fifty meter radius that was unable to move fast enough, was frozen in place, be it in motion, on the ground or in the air. So, all of the Kunai were frozen in place, unable to build up the necessary speed to be able to push through his technique. "I am not an assassin, I am merely a disconcerted shinobi, here to do what is best for my village." The old man would also feel sluggish, due to the particles around him attempting to slow his motions. Eio's right arm would then turn black and morph into a six foot long blade that ran from a few feet in front of where his hand was, along his forearm, to a few feet behind where his elbow ended. The blade was immensely sharp and ready to cut whomever was unlucky enough to get in the way. He would rush forwards, in an attempt to slice the man's midsection when he was no doubt surprised at Eio's ability to freeze his shuriken in mid air. Eio is moving at a speed of 100, with a strength of 100 attack aimed at the mans chest, his blade has a durability of 130.

Jutsu Used:

"Wha-" The Takikage uttered in surprise as his reflexes kicked in. His opponent was suddenly closing in right as he began struggling to move. So that was it, huh? This guy was no ordinary ninja. His Jutsu were on a level that felt far beyond what he assumed he was capable of. Originally, Shinrin had intended to toy with his opponent, recovering from the shock of opening the first gate over time as he wore him down with ranged attacks. Even at their peak, most fighters would still be within his range even with such a handicap. At least, during normal situations that would be the case.... What this man was capable of was anything but normal, though! While the strain wasn't major, thinking he could recover from it mid-match was still a bad move. He had underestimated his opponent.

Instinctively, the Takikage went for the first thing he could think of. "Gate of Life... OPEN!!!" The Kage sized up his opponent mentally as he made his move. They were fast. Faster than him. However, a technique that reduced speed like this had to use a lot of Chakra. So if he could just fight long enough, it would pass and then he'd gain the advantage! Shinrin's skin turned red as he moved to the right mid-rush, approaching the assassin's left side. If he was going to fight with his right arm, fine. A technique like that would just make it harder to block attacks from the left!

"Your blindside's wide open!!!" Shinrin suddenly shouted as he flexed his left arm, coating it with lightning as he aimed a powerful Lariat at his opponent's throat! Even if he could somehow block this, too, with what strength he had and the power of this attack, it was gonna hurt!

[405/600 Chakra]

The moment he felt  his opponents chakra skyrocket even more than it did the first time, he realized that using his arm scythe was not going to be the best move. He needed to do something much more to counter him now, luckily his deceleration field was still doing its job and the man wasn't able to move at his fullest potential. So, he would deactivate the arm scythe and change his direction of movement to backing away from his opponent. Activating his plasma shroud, he could feel the muscles throughout his body strengthening from the activity now moving through them. His vision cleared and it appeared that his opponent was moving almost in slow motion. He would hold out his hand and activate the electrons there to repulse his opponent away from him with a strength and speed of 190 (100 + 60 + 30). Should the Takikage get caught up in said attack, eio would rush to catch up to him as he would crash into the wall adjacent to them and would move to deliver a crushing blow to the mans rib cage. Should this not be enough, Eio would have to give the man credit, but he had confidence that the force he used was more than sufficient. His plasma aura still surrounding him in a luminescent glow of blue lightning. Arcs of said lightning moving around him every few seconds, he surely looked intimidating while in this form, at least, that is how it was received in the past.

Important Stats for the situation at hand:

Before he knew what was happening, the Takikage felt a shockwave blast through him, sending him flying away from his target at insane speeds as his eyes widened in blind fury. Again. Again with that damned bloodline style! Over and over again with it, absolutely relying on it for every single move! After he had trained for so long. Fought so hard over so many years. Worked to develop his body until he was able to access even the ultimate Taijutsu skill! He couldn't accept this. He refused it! His mind screamed out in silence with a pain exponentially greater than the agony his body was experiencing!

Damn you, assassin! Damn you and your entire clan! You are not a true ninja! Even in death, even while outclassed, I refuse to recognize you. Even if you may never know it, until my final breaths, I deny your mere existence!

Unable to do anything to fight back, Shinrin was forced to simply prepare for his body to impact the back wall as he tried to watch for any other movements his opponent would make.

Eio watched as the man rocketed towards the wall, he was moving insanely fast, though Eio himself was moving rather slowly in comparison to catch up to the man (60). Activating his Switch technique, he suddenly found himself moving insanely fast towards a man who was flying much slower. To keep from giving his opponent too much time to react to the sudden switch in speed, he would rush next to him and deliver a powerful and fast blow directly to his chest. While he had his aura active, Eio had a lot more strength than normal, and he knew the Takikage was durable, but he also knew that not many people were durable enough for the speed and force behind his attack. So, should it land, it would most likely penetrate through the mans chest, destroying his heart. Eio, however, was not foolish enough to bet it all on that, so he would remain vigilant just in case the man had a trick up his sleeve.

Jutsu Used:

(OOC: Once I use Switch, Eio is moving at a speed of 190 and Shinrin would be moving at a speed of 60. But, even with the gates, thats too fast for him to be able to see. So, this topic may be at a wrap! Just in case it is indeed over, thanks for the help and sorry for taking so long!! <3<3)
