A ranked Mission

Mission:

Kyo sat in his office behind his desk with his eyes gazing out into the lawn that was in front of his house. This office was his father's and when he was out on missions or in business or so he would come in here because for some reason when he would come here he found it really easy to think and to do research.

He sat there drinking his warm saki as the gentle wisps of steam rose from his drink into his nostrils. The gentle whirr of the air conditioning and the lavender and tobacco smell has always had a way of relaxing him. He thought it was because of the room reminded him so much about his father.

When he continued looking outside, there were several other Hyuga walking on their merry way on their way home trying to get shelter from the drizzle. Some had umbrellas while others scrambled for safety since they had none. Kyo eyed the droplets that were being formed on his window and it reminded him of many things. Rain had a way of reminding him that even the sky can cry.

Instinct would tell him that not all was well in his vicinity. It was true, because as he sat there drinking, one of the attendants burst into the room where he was. He was breathless and Kyo sprang up and rushed to him.

"Kyo sama. Your...*pant pant*...your father...mother. They have been poisoned!"

With that, Kyo's guard had been put on high alert. He had his Byakugan activated and he did not even know he had done so. He and the man servant rushed out of his father's office and was an route to his parents bedroom when there was a large explosion which ripped through the corridor in which Kyo and the man servant got caught up in. It was totally unexpected and both of them were blown backwards. When Kyo came to seconds later, he looked to his right and the man servant was dead and this got Kyo really angry. As he looked up, past the rubble of his home, there was a figure there standing and looking menacingly at Kyo.

No doubt this was the asshole that had harmed his parents. Kyo tried to move but he had been too badly injured by the explosion and a slab of concrete was on top of him as well. Knowing this, the figured jumped over the rubble that separated them and walked over to where Kyo lay. He did not even look at the man servant that had died from the explosion but kept his eyes close on Kyo.

"So you are their beloved son that Kitano and Souzan love so very much eh? Well you hyuuga have sat too long on your high and mighty throne. With their deaths it would weaken the Hyuga for the next phase. So you decide, come after me or try and help your parents. Either way you're gonna fail."

After a few moments if Kyo not doing anything other than look at his mother and father, the man left. Kyo went to his parents and called the medical nin to take his parents to the hospital. Now that they were safe, Kyo knew that this man will come and attack the village elder. It was now confirmed because of the attack on his parents. Previously, heads of other families were attacked so it was pretty obvious that there was some sort of pattern developing. No matter. Kyo was going to take this mission personally and pay back the man that dare attacked his parents. The attacked got away this time because Kyo did not want to destroy the clan compound in a battle with this man. Number two he had to make sure his parents were safe. He gathered his things and went straight to the elders house.

"Its not that big if a deal you know. I'm going right out on the outskirts of the village to collect something from a friend. All this protection they assigned to me is uncalled for."

"It may seem like that but it is needed. My parents were attacked last night my Lord. Family heads have been attacked all over the village. We think you will be next. This isn't just speculation as with some cases. This one is real."

"Alright well then let us go."

They went outside the village walls for him to meet whoever when suddenly a shadow jumped out and made a beeline for the elder. Kyo thought that the attacker was indeed a fool. When ambushing someone you are supposed to attack their defences first. Not attack the target and leave yourself open. Kyo took advantage of that and gave the man a swift kick to the jaw knocking him out and arrested him.
