Name: Kidnapping Location: In a minor town Rank: S Team: Not required Client: Kage Rewards: 2,500 Ryo and 1,000 Exp Description: You are to infiltrate a minor town and kidnap a young child by the name of seiske Shima. He will be guarded by an A-ranked escort who is known as the wind demon. It is imperative that you kill his escort but keep the child alive. He is to be returned to the village in one piece and without major damage done.[/size]
- Wind Demon:
Skilled in Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu. Able to use all Wind style ninjutsu and the fire sealing method as well as the five elements seal. He has 60 in all stats and is very straight forward. He likes to attack rather than talk or come up with a strategy.
His most commonly used jutsu is the gale palm technique.
Back in duty. Of course, that meant to waking up in the middle of the night to a folder on his nightstand. Ah, some things never changed. Still, this was a good feeling, and a decently thick folder. Well, looks like his old new career was off to a fantastic start, yet again. He grunted as he got off the bed. Fix those aches and pains, young Kozai told him. It's simple. Just a little pulse of chakra... No, he refused, and there was nothing little Kozai could do about it. He was still in control, and that was a good thing. He popped open the yellow folder and read it over while strapping on his headband and getting dressed. Huh. Alright. Ok! Didn't seem that hard, though he'd have to watch his back. A single A-ranked fellow with sealing capabilities didn't seem all too bad, but as always, there were enemies who had bizarre abilities that he couldn't be bothered to try to figure out in his old age. He gave his shaving razor a passing glance, and left it on the countertop. Even if this did take a few days, he liked the front scruff he had now. It was... "old school", in a way. [1/9]

| Still, kidnapping a kid... how thrilling. Sometimes, he felt, the village never changed. He wasn't sure what the big shots needed the kid for, but that wasn't his job to care about it. He buckled on his katana, ensured that all of his kunai were safely sealed away and headed out into the night. It was nearly midnight by his old military reckoning, and the village was filled with the sounds of the night crowd. Blegh, milennials. A decent sleep (as long as you were young and gainfully employed) was important, which young people of every age and generation never seemed to realize. To them, the night was just spare time to have fun and "get loose", or whatever it was that the kids said now. "'flix and chill", wasn't it? Whatever.
He flexed his energy and flickered away, vanishing from the street. Travelling rapidly overland, he'd reach the small town in a few hours. On the way there, he quickly reviewed the information in his head. Right, he had everything. Resisting the urge to take a swig from his canteen, he stopped behind a hill overlooking the town. Mmmm.... he'd have to get into the house without being detected by this fellow's sensory, if he had it at all. [2/9]

| Easy enough, actually. He'd used a tactic like this before, the day before he laid waste to a small town similar to this one. He had orders not to destroy too much, though, and especially not to harm the kid, but this would be perfect. He had information on what went into the "young lord's" house, and all he had to do was wait for another early morning shipment. Only his family in this small town would be able to afford certain... luxuries. Women wasn't one of them, the kid was too young for that (though that wouldn't last long, what with milennial parents being what they were).
Silks, though... there was the cart coming in now. Kozai silently clambered into the back, marking an important looking bundle with the Hiraishin seal before hopping back off and taking a small nap. Everything would be taken care of, in time. The operation of this wasn't all that delicate, and to be honest, it was a little dependent on luck, but it should still be no problem. A few hours later, he woke up to the morning sunlight bathing his bearded face. His spine creaked as he sat up, and he cursed himself for not bringing any proper medication. [3/9]

| With a blink and a wish, he was there.... where? Oh, damn. He should have known. He found himself in the middle of a dank little cellar, surrounded by silks. Naturally, he'd end up here. Grumbling, he got ready to port out again as soon as the guard showed his face. ... But he didn't. So, not so good of a sensor after all, huh? Maybe they should hire someone better. Still, he had to be careful. He hid himself underneath one of the large racks, and waited. Eventually, one of the servants entered the room, and Kozai's hand buzzed to life as he listened her mutter to herself.
"... bring 'dank-ass hood' to young master.... filthy milennial parents and their kids..." For a brief instant, Kozai sympathized with her. Then, the chakra flowed out, and she found herself comatose as the intruder crawled out from underneath and marked her. Then, he crawled back, and withdrew the chakra. Minutes later, she woke back up and shook her head. "Must've fallen asleep".... of course, she had... just not in the way she'd imagined. She walked out, closed the door, and climbed the stairs toward the rest of the house. Easy clap, he thought to himself, as the milennials say. [4/9]

| A few minutes later, he closed his eyes and made another wish. And just like that, he was behind the servant, looking over her shoulder at the kid. A young-ish adolescent, just as the orders had said. With a simple motion of his hand, he dealt an incapacitating blow to the back of the woman's neck. Now, all he had to do was grab the kid and get out. He reached out his hand, and suddenly, his eyes widened. A quick pivot back, and a slight opening of his lips as he shot out a bolt of lightning toward the blur that had appeared between him and his target.
The target raised a barrier, and Kozai quickly unsealed one of his kunai. So, this was the opponent he had been waiting so long to fight. Well... he didn't have to fight this strange wrapped up person. His brain ran a couple of different perceptual realities alongside the first (getting rusty, he used to be able to do twelve) and determined a course of action. Simply, he threw the kunai while unsealing two more in his other hand. As the cloaked figure stepped forward to attack while saying "Run, young master", Kozai would simply through the kunai at the man's shoulder. [5/9]

| Of course, it was easy after that. The guard dodged, only to find that Kozai had vanished. Kozai, of course, had teleported to the kunai and grabbed the kid, feeling the exhaustion of years spent out of the field. Goddammit. He seized the kid by the back of the neck, but barely had time to dodge before the bodyguard came back around, trying to land some kind of close range technique on him. Easy dodge, he thought, as he gripped the bodyguard's wrist and attempted to divert the momentum away.
BANG~!
Right, wind techniques, he mused as he was sent flying off of the story onto the first floor, kid still in hand. Well, he could always just teleport back to the village with his prize, but that was no fun. His blood was just beginning to circulate well, too. He grinned up at the bodyguard jumping down. A milennial, no doubt, and inexperienced. He'd toy with this one for a few minutes. With a quick flash, he'd grab the bodyguard as well and vanish, reappearing with both of them out on the plain outside of the town. The bodyguard looked around wildly, confused as to what had just happened. God, he was stupid. [6/9]

| Powerful wind techniques capable of blowing even him away, but a brain that seemed to lack combat experience. Huh, it's almost like these people were set up for his very entertainment. While Kozai certainly wasn't a cruel man, even the most kind of people played with their food on occasion. And Kozai certainly wasn't kind either.
"Cast aside your fears about the child."
Unexpectedly, he'd speak. "If so, you can fight without having to worry about harming him." He placed the kid down to the side and turned to the bodyguard once again. "Come, then. Forget about your young master. Fight me with everything you've got."
The bodyguard seemed to hesitate for a second, then shook his head silently, vanishing as he did so. Well, crap. Looks like this wouldn't be as fun after all, he thought, as he turned his head to where the kid was, extending his hand toward where the bodyguard was appearing. Thought he could take him by surprise, huh? This guy really was lacking in experience. It was a damn shame that he hadn't been willing to desert his duty. Still, as the lightning current flowed out of Kozai's hands, he felt a little satisfied that the man hadn't made such a choice in the end. [7/9]

| The current slammed into the man's cloak, knocking him back. Right, the wind element. So, while he'd prevented the guy from retrieving the child, he still hadn't finished him off yet. Kozai knew that he could probably just overload the man's chakra system, which is probably what he'd go with. As the bodyguard stumbled back to his feet, Kozai weaved a few handseals and watched as the bodyguard's eyes widened. He'd lost his vision. The Bringer of Darkness genjutsu was merely a cheap trick, but he supposed that to prepare this final attack, it wasn't so bad of a jutsu.
He raised his hand, and it glowed blue with sheer power. Well, medical chakra, really, but it was all the same now. It was the light that would end this mission for sure. After all, everything had a deadline. It wasn't like Kozai could sit around here and play forever. The chakra flowed out, and entered the man's body, sending his system into shock. The Wind Demon's blood pressure dropped, and he gasped as his body went into emergency mode, re-prioritizing his brain over all else and shutting down on him, sending him into what was effectively a medically induced coma. | Well, he could just leave him there, to wake up and live with his guilt. After all, seeking vengeance against Kumogakure with skills like HIS? Ha! Futile. He should have known better than to try and fight Kozai in the first place. Still, he supposed that he couldn't blame the guy. It was probably what he had been hired for. Scooping up the kid, Kozai would give one last look around before he vanished from the scene, reappearing in Kumogakure seamlessly. Easy, right? Well, not really. He'd just blown much of his night trying to get more than his stupid fixed income would provide. Was it worth it? Only time would tell, he supposed. Either way, he dropped the unconscious kid off with the appropriate authorities and headed back home. Damn, he needed to work on his stamina again. He was hella beat. Well, in the end, the money would be nice. Besides, he hadn't felt a sense of combat like that in years. How many years had it been now...?
He'd forgotten.
Well, this was just something to keep the Kozai of the past away from the present. People around him wouldn't be able to handle it if things got out of control, and he wasn't being cocky when he said that. [9/9]
