A Day's Work

Mission:

Nothing made his job more mundane than when he could not use his KKG to help him. Gekkido was the type to incorporate training to all that he did. The old  man grunted as he brought the shinobi three pails of paint, fully expecting him to take over the job of painting the roof and more difficult places. The old man took the lower half of the first floor, Gekkido took the higher half and the roof-top. He crawled about the house laying layer after layer of brown and grey paint. Brown for the main body of the house, grey for the roof. Who wanted a grey roof?
He reminded himself to be task oriented and not question too much the validity of these people’s reasonings. The more unusual the task, the geater his sense of distance from kirigakure villagers in general. Nevertheless, he finished helping the old man. The house would take a day to dry off and clear out, so Gekkido went the extra mile to take the man to his son’s house where he would be staying for the time being.
