The Red Jacket
Next, Gekkido was sent on a search for a boy with a red jacket. What amazingly stimulating fun. This young man had snuck out of class and had gone to try and find his father who was working in the mines. Gekkido didn’t care for the personal details of why, he simply wanted to find the boy and be done with his work. Naturally, the mining work in kirigakure was done in caves near the underground rivers. These rivers were used to power the electricity of the village as well as provide for various other functions. That being said, Gekkido took the elevator down into the caves and began his search for the sullen child. Once he was brought down into the caves, it became clear the boy would stick out quite easily. All the workers of the minds wore black or navy blue uniforms, how hard could it be to find a boy dressed in red?
As he reached the main level of the plant, he indeed found the boy weaving in and out of various workers who were far more concerned about finishing their shift than finding out where exactly this youngster had come from. Gekkido calmly followed after the boy, knowing that he didn’t have far to go. The main office of the mines was placed high above the walls of the cave, such that it took a staircase to reach. He walked up it after the boy whose father was no doubt working somewhere within the office. Coming inside, he signed his name in with the secretary and calmly walked into the managers office. Walking in, he found the boy, his father, and a woman inside; all looked rather surprised as well as uncomfortable. Gekkido acted as though he were not interested in finding out what was going on but rather presented that he was in search of the boy in order to bring him back to class and ensure his safety. The father obliged, the woman said nothing, and the boy quietly and angrily left with the Kaguya. He wasn’t in the mood to ask the boy what was going on with his father and the woman were doing, he just wanted to get his paycheck and head out.
