DANTE
Name: Dante Monsuta
Nickname: Age: 42
Gender: Male
Height: 6 feet 4 inches
Weight: 178 Lbs.
Appearance: Most would describe Dante upon first seeing him as tall, dark, and brooding. He stands rather tall when compared to most people and due to his long and wild black hair and his serious face, he is often seen as a brooding person. He has yellow, almost golden eyes with two black lines coming from the sides, similar to an Egyptian design. His eyebrows are typically creased into an almost angry or concentrated look, his typical frown or blank expression doesn’t aid his outward disposition either. His body is moderately fit, mostly just lean muscle that is common in someone of his career. He typically wraps his upper body in white bandages that is somewhat a traditional thing for his clan. His pants consist of blue ninja type pants with various compartments hidden about. He wears the normal black ninja sandals. Overtop of all of this, he wears a long black overcoat that comes down to his ankles. He keeps the front open so that it doesn’t impede his movement too much. His hair is kept in a top knot to hold most of it from falling onto his back, but he still keeps the front part of his hair free and shoulder length. It appears to frame his face.
While many ninja his age are littered with scars of past conflicts, Dante’s body lacks any evidence of him ever being in a battle. In fact, the only mark he has on his entire body, is a tattoo of his clan’s symbol tattooed on his left pectoral. He got it on the day that he decided to leave Kirigakure as a way to remember his roots and that he always has a home to return to. He keeps his Kiri Headband in one of the pockets of his pants should he ever need to prove his identity.

Bijuu Roll: Personality: Dante is an immensely serious person. He almost never smiles or laughs, he takes everything with a grain of salt. When he was a fresh Genin, he had been a very kind and gentle person, so suffice to say, his values were put at odds with the world when his nation went to war. By the time he made it to Chuunin, he had been drafted and put almost on the front lines. This led to many changes in his personality. From that day forwards, he knew he had to be a solid, consistent person. He had to be there as a constant, to help those of lower rank, or those just arriving find solace that on an ever changing battlefield, HE was always there. He became much more calculative and quiet. Taking time to digest the changes in his surroundings and notice every little detail about things before he made a move. It was this way of thinking and acting that saved his life many times in the face of the undead army.
Dante’s most defining moment however, is what earned him the rank of Jounin and put him in a position of leadership. He had been placed in charge of a squadron of about twenty men. They were going to be the first to make an attempt during the war to take on the Demon face to face. They never came close to his stronghold. They were stopped by a large number of the undead creatures led by a bald man who claimed to be the demon’s right hand. It was over in seconds. If it hadn’t been for his natural healing, Dante wouldn’t have made it out either. It was this moment that made him decide that after things died down, he needed to get out of the village and take time to himself to get over the things he saw. So, now he wanders the world, a hollowed husk of the man he once was, in search of his purpose.
Character History: Born in what is now known as the Land of Water, Dante came into the world through struggle. His mother was born a rather sickly child as she was not a member of their clan, she was unable to heal from her ailments. As Dante was born, his instincts kicked in and he began to devour his now deceased mother’s body due to his clan’s… unique abilities and characteristics. His struggle didn’t end there as he was made to begin his training to learn of his abilities. It wasn’t for a few years that a ninja village formed near where his clan was located and they were approached with the opportunity to join this village, the Hidden Mist. Not long after they assimilated, Dante was put into the Ninja Academy. Before his final year, there were talks of a war brewing and their Kage left to go to a Summit to discuss the plan with the other world leaders. It was at this point that they began to push kids through a much more difficult training program in the academy to better prepare them for the blossoming war.
After graduating, Dante was sent to one of the battlefields with the rest of his class to pick up the bodies of fallen mist ninja. This is where he first saw their enemy. Seven foot tall, white, one eye, big mouths. They were the stuff of nightmares. The thing that frightened him the most is that there were almost as many of them dead as there were shinobi, but according to what he heard from one of the officers, they had barely put a dent in the opposing forces numbers. It was a truly frightening thought. After both participating and leading in these “clean-up” missions, he was to be considered for an in-field promotion. So, he was sent to his Kage for a demonstration of skill that was required for any of those put forth as recommended. He showcased what he had learned from his clan. Both his Kekkei Genkai and his natural healing factor were seen as valuable assets to the future of the village and so, they promoted him to Chuunin and then to Special Jounin. They also began to look for more members of his clan that may be interested in joining the Academy.
A few months after his promotion, the Shodai Mizukage got impatient with the other four Kage’s slow attack plan and decided to send his best team to the stronghold of the enemy who was called a Demon. Dante was slated to lead this team in the sting operation codenamed: Armageddon. They didn’t even come within sight of the enemy’s base of operations before they were surrounded by the opposing army being led by a man who claimed to be the enemies general. It was over before any on his team could draw a sword or form a handsign. Dante would have been killed too if it wasn’t for his clan’s natural healing ability. But, he took what he witnessed there and instilled it into his heart. While he loved his village and was grateful to them for bringing his clan into their kinship and treating them as brothers, he could not bear to face the families of those he had lost in this mission. So, he returned defeated and broken. Due to his valor and gleaning some information about the enemy ranks, he was promoted to Jounin. He decided that for the sake of his family, he would see this through till the end before he left.
It was a year or more before the Demon showed his face. He was faced by all five Kage and a few other world famous individuals who were renowned for their strength and abilities. This final battle shook the world and rearranged landscapes. It was truly the most amazing and horrifying thing that many shinobi, including Dante had ever seen. After the battle was over and it was claimed that the war was over, the villages had not time to celebrate, but mourned their losses and began the rebuilding process. Many teams were sent into the field to reclaim those that had been killed during the battles. It was here that the conflict with the land of earth truly started. Some say that a mist ninja was attempting to smuggle out an iwa nin. And some say it was the other way around, regardless of what happened it led to many small scale conflicts. During one of these, Dante was sent on a solo mission to destroy a village just within the borders of the land of earth. So, he entered the village to do his initial reconnaissance. What he found was an innocent village that was all but cut off from the rest of their nations problems. He would decide that this is where his limit had been reached. He left the village and went about his life as a wanderer. He kept to himself mostly, but he would stop and help people sometimes if it caught his attention. He heard recently that the Mist had gotten a new Kage, but he didn’t know much else. Perhaps one day he will go back to his homeland and see if things had changed for the better. But for now, he would continue wandering and exploring the world in search for his purpose.
