Appearance: Shin was born and raised in the desert, his appearance betrays this fact with dark, sun-kissed skin and dark brown hair. His hair always seems to be wind swept, not really kept up in most cases, as though the desert winds had run through it at high speed from different directions. His eyes reflect both the setting sun and the golden sands that made the Land of Wind famous. If one were to gaze into his golden eyes, they might be able to catch a glimpse of the sun setting over the vast deserts. While his eyes and skin often bring people to naturally place him in a desert setting, it is his confident smile and bravado that really bring his home into focus. Ever the nationalist, he is always smiling when walking through the streets of Sunagakure, where he feels he is at the top of the world.

His normal clothing consists of ornate, gold colored armor that covers his waist, back and sides. He wears a tight fitting black shirt that covers his shoulders, upper back and arms all the way down to his hands that are covered in black gloves. Over his forearms, he wears blue and gold bracers that protect him from attacks there. His chest and abdomen remain uncovered and bare, revealing his toned body underneath. It is dotted with scars and burns, telling stories of a harsh life lived in the sands. His choice to leave his body uncovered is both practical and logical, as he is in the desert, it is the best way to help stay cool. Over top of all of this, he wears an ornate white cape that is embroidered with a triangle surrounded by a circle on the back. His pants consist of black, loose fitting pants with many hidden pockets for weapons and scrolls. the knees are cut out to enable breathing and ease of motion. His ninja sandals are adorned with golden metal plating and a blue gem on each foot.

Personality: Shin is in many ways a common desert-dweller. He keeps to himself in many aspects of his life, though for the most part he has an amicable relationship with other ninja of the village and a good one with the civilians. Though, he is of a mind that the shinobi are far more useful than the civilians, excluding those with useful skills or a means to procure the village wealth. Along with these feelings, comes intense nationalism that he feels towards Sunagakure, believing it to be the greatest of all nations and that it should rule over all the world. With his feelings of great national pride, he also has a great amount of personal pride, believing himself to be a great contributor to his nation's greatness, or at least its continued success. He is well aware he is not the only piece contributing to this beautiful puzzle, but he feels he is a contributing piece.

When in a fight, he is both sadistic and serious. As opposed to many fighters, he is not a brawler and instead chooses to plan his battles according to any weaknesses he can find in his opponents. He will also do his best to get under their skin if he can. He can be manipulative, but he is also kind, compassionate and caring to those who are under the banner of Suna. When around friends, he can be a jokester and quite a different person than when he is in the field. His demeanor can shift instantly should a friend or ally be put into danger, and he kicks into full 'ANBU' mode. He will do whatever it takes to protect those in his village and those who he considers to be prescious. He is also quite strict to the chain of command and shows the utmost respect to those in higher positions and expects the same from those below him.

Character History: Birth. It is here that most stories begin, indeed it is here that ALL stories begin to some extent and this is no exception. Though, instead of focusing on the birth of this child, we will focus on the things that happened afterwards. Yes, when Shin thinks back to his first memory, it will be of the desert view from the orphanage window. Oh? Did you think this would be a happy tale? You thought wrong. Though, not every tale that isn't happy needs to be sad or tragic. This one is simply a neutral story of how a boy grew into a man. He lived in the orphanage until he was five. When orphans turned five, if they hadn't been adopted, they were thrown out as, at that time, the village was lacking the proper funding to take care of the surplus of children born and then abandoned. Shin didn't mind it though, as he was an adventurer by nature and thus used to opportunity to become well acquainted with the streets of the village and the surrounding desert.

By the time he was eight, he had explored almost the entire village and the desert surrounding it. He had also found that he enjoyed reading books he found thrown away in the dumpsters outside of the library. The village library was a combined library featuring both Shinobi and Civilian book sections, though most of the shinobi sections were sealed off without proper clearance. Every now and then an interesting book featuring a unique fighting style or a very low ranked jutsu would find its way into the trash. Well, on one particular morning, Shin found a book that would change his life forever. It was abod entitled, "The Truth of Jashin". When he finished reading that book, he reread it over and over again until he had memorised every word. He had found a new purpose in life, in the servitude of Jashin. It was not long after this newfound devotion that he found himself making his first prayer. Now, this prayer is not like most prayers you will come across as it was more akin to a ritual than anything.

Shin had captured a man who had attacked him and made fun of him for being a street rat in the past and was going to sacrifice him in the name of Jashin. It was that first, faith-filled stab into his own heart that solidified him as a chosen prophet of Jashin and sanctified Sunagakure, in his own mind, as Jashin's chosen village and people. From that point on, he devoted his life to growing strong so that he may bring glory and honor to Jashinism and Sunagakure. He joined the academy at the age of ten and was a Genin by twelve. He progressed normally through the ranks from then on, chuunin by the time he was thirteen, Special Jounin by sixteen, Jounin by Eighteen. When he turned nineteen, he was given his shot at becoming a member of the Elite, a member of the Sunagakure ANBU. He aced his test and spent the next two years honing his skills until he was granted a promotion to the rank of ANBU Captain where he serves his country with the best of his abilities.
