| It had been only a week since his formal inauguration into the mantle of Kazekage, and the male since then had been very busy. Paperwork, speeches, appearances had been but only a few of his duties. Today however would be a little different in this regard since he would actually have free time to accomplish something. In his most recent readings he had picked up a well detailed documentation of a different form of chakra unique to the world around them- Nature chakra. In its detailed formed it existed as a chakra source barely tapped by normal ninja and could be argued as chakra in its most simple and pure form. As he read he could concur that the acquisition of such a power came with such a...long and arduous task that would take years, maybe even months. He found himself fascinated with the thought of being able to feel this sublime chakra, adding it to his own to better assist his cause in protecting the village.
As he flipped pages within the book it continued to explain of several methods unique to drawing out this life energy. Some pointed to the great sages of the animal summons, most predominately the Toads of Mt. Myoboku or the Snakes of Ryuichi. As far as that went, that would require traveling which the young Kazekage could not afford with no Deputy Kage and the village still healing from not having a Kage for too long.

| It was as he continued to flip through the pages he had received a notion that would place into him a hope of obtaining this power for his own. As he read, a new but rather improbable and quite unheard of form of nature chakra obtainment slowly began to show itself. It wasn't known as something that many ninja had done, so the rate in which he would succeed at least in his eyes was abysmally low. In retrospect however, this was his best opportunity in gaining this form of chakra without going to see the Sages themselves. The more he read the more it became apparent what needed to be done. With all of the information he had needed being scanned and copied into his mind for later, he stood up and exited the Kazekage building to head for somewhere he thought to be the area most in tune with nature in Suna.
Taking a giant leap from rooftop to rooftop, the lone ninja continued his movements even going so far as to activate his base byakugan to enhance his range of vision. It would be problematic if someone were to get into his way, but seeing as he was the Kage? That would no longer be an issue. The area he had in mind was one of Suna's most beautiful oasis, covered in an unique type of flora that could only be found deep in the desert. Located approximately 500 meters from the village itself, when he had arrived, he slid to a stop and marveled in its beauty. Knowing how he wanted to do this, he took off his shirt and shoes before going into the clear sky blue water and with a gentle application of chakra, sat himself down on the waters surface and began to meditate.

| Around the area there had been a few animals indigenous to the desert environment frolicking about and partaking of the water, but what of Kiseragi. Minutes soon spanned into hours as he sat there still, doing exactly what the book had instructed. Legs were crossed. Hands were placed firmly together so that he was in a true meditative state. He had let all of his worries and cares slip from his body to truly be one with nature. Though he had achieved all of this he couldn't find that inner peace that the book continued to emphasize throughout its entirety. He scanned the recesses of his mind for everything he had remembered, trying over and over and over again until finally? He had given up. Laying flat onto the surface of the water he began to look into the sky and ponder to himself," Am I actually doing this right? Maybe I just missed a step or two...," or maybe he thought...he wasn't actually in tune with nature.
The thought continued to spire until out of the corner of his eye he had caught something. One of the desert hares had been chased by a snake, hoping to nab its meal and be sated. Though the hare had only a fraction of a second to escape, something happened. From the sky a hawk swooped down and grabbed the snake from the ground and carried it off. It was after seeing this display and thinking to himself that he knew what he was missing.

| Harmony. Even in the brutal display of cat and mouse there had been a harmony he had been missing all along. The hare was saved because of the hawk's hunger...The snake was fell prey to the hunter. All of it no matter how morbid or brutal it had been had this harmony. With a new perspective on what the book was trying to teach him, Kiseragi sat up and took back the position this time instead of focusing on nature as a whole? He focused on becoming a part of that harmony. From the skies to the very water he had been sitting on he focused his body to become one with his, intermingling his chakra with the very life source. Within his form he felt something new, foreign even as he continued to meditate. A power unlike any other yet so familiar that a person could forget just what it had been. Nature itself had been granting him with the knowledge he had so eagerly been wanting and through sheer will and tenacity, he had sat there for hours.
Day became night and night became day until three days had passed. In his meditation he had begun the conversion of Nature chakra within his own body, the spiral of fate between his own body and spiritual chakra began to mingle with the Nature chakra of the world. On the fourth day his eyes had finally opened, new marking slowly forming underneath them as he had finally gotten the small taste he had been hoping for. With a new power found he stood to make his way back to the village.

| The lone male made his way back to the village a new sense of purpose and a new power, albeit a fleeting one. As he continued into the gates he could feel the Nature based chakra slowly depleting symbolizing that he still had a long way to go before he could truly master the ability. As he stepped into the gates he came to a pause and looked into the sky with a new form of vigor on his face. He had once again created another bridge in which he could enhance his already growing repertoire of abilities. As he continued to walk through the village itself he could not help but remember the sight of the Hawk, The Hare and the Snake. One could have easily turned that into a children's book but it held a deeper meaning to him at least. The hunter can always become the prey if one was not too careful, but the hunted can always be saved by an unlikely ally. With this newfound knowledge he began his walk to his office where he would continue his research into the laws and nature of ....well nature chakra. Maybe he could even find a ninja within the village that could further instruct him in the ways of a sage so he could make his own sage proficient techniques. | |
