| Kirito made it into the training grounds many hours before the sun would show itself in the village. He wanted to work on a bit of trqining and perhaps he would run across some more shinobi while he was there. He started off doing some stretches, pulling his arms around himself and stretching out his legs and stomach. Getting ready for another intense day of training. He would also be pushing his chakra around his body. It wouldn't be long before it was already mid morning and he was still getting warmed up.
He decided to take a little while and meditate. Every few minutes, he would shift what element he was focusing on. At first, he had droplets of water shifting around him. After around thirty minutes of that, he would have arcs of lightning zapping to and fro around his body. Finally, rocks would levitate an inch or so above the ground if they were right next to him. It seemed that he had the elements he did know down pat.
1/8 Wind Nature

| It seemed to be a rather quiet day as it was nearing the afternoon and he had yet to see another ninja coming to train. It was odd, very odd in fact, to be in a training ground by one self for such an extended period of time, especially in a village as densely populated as Konoha. He supposed that most of the younger generation were training privately to prepare for the chuunin exams that would be happening soon, but he was utterly shocked at the lack of more experienced shinobi even, since he was an unknown factor within the village, he felt that his training should have alerted someone at least.
It didn't really matter, as Kirito made sure that he would be making the most of his time. He had already mastered both earth and lightning natures. He had water very easily due to it being naturally attuned to him since birth, but he knew he needed even more variety to become a truly splendid shinobi. He would work on adding a fourth natural element to his arsenal.

| Which element should he pick? He only had two really left to choose from, wind or fire releases. He felt that wind would be the better option because fire would be his bodies natural opposite and it would be more difficult to learn than wind should be. So, he needed to find out exactly where to start his training. He had no clue about wind release as he had never seen it done before that he was aware of. But, he did know where the library was, so he would make his way there.
Once inside he would make his way to the area about shinobi and helpful study books for things like chakra theory, anatomy and other things shinobi might need to read about. Here, he found a book titled, "All You Need to Know About Elements: A Training Guide" It seemed to be the perfect book for him, so he would swiftly travel to the front desk and purchase it.

| Making his way back to the training grounds, he would begin to read the book. The first page he could find about wind release was very informative. It read, " Wind Release is one of the five basic elemental nature transformations. Most offensive Wind Release techniques are performed by making chakra as sharp and thin as possible, however, wind can also be generated as a large, concussive force to overwhelm a target. Wind-based techniques are mainly short to mid-ranged offensive techniques that combine brute force and keen precision to deal cutting and slashing damage."
This told him more than enough to get him started. He needed to be able to form his chakra into a thin, sharp blade to use for cutting. Once he got that done, using it as a concussive force should come easily enough. So, sitting in a meditative pose, he would begin channeling his chakra into a leaf he had plucked from a nearby tree.

| Pushing chakra into the leaf was the simple part, it was making it do something that was proving to be more difficult. He had to focus it to a single point and then force it to become as sharp as possible to cut the leaf as opposed to ripping it to shreds. After a few minutes and a dozen leaves later, he was beginning to grow frustrated. He was simply failing to make the blade small enough to cut the leaf as opposed to slashing it to pieces. Grabbing another leaf he would take a moment to calm himself more before he started again.
It was in this moment taken to calm himself that he felt the breeze kicking around him, simply following its own path. The breeze was one thing that could truly be free no matter what. It was then that it dawned on him what he had to do to make this nature transformation work for him. He had to do less forcing. Wind was not like earth in that one needed to push it to do its work, but like lightning that it just needed to be pointed in the right direction.

| Breathing out and holding the leaf between his hands, he would start again with his new mindset guiding him. Focusing more on where he wanted his chakra to go and what he wanted it to do, he would allow it to freely move to the precise point he wanted it and when he was done, a jagged cut formed along the center area of the leaf. While it was obvious that he still needed a lot of work done on the technique, he was at least making decent progress. He would start again with a new leaf. Over and over again until finally, he managed to make the perfect cut exactly where he had wanted it.
His precision with the technique would only increase after that and he would eventually need a new method to begin training himself. He would hit the tree, causing the leaves to fall. He would then try to cut them before they hit the ground. This proved to be very difficult at first, but after an hour or so? He could get nearly 200 leaves per tree

| Now that he had that part figured out, he would read into the more advanced training section of the book. It spoke about using this technique to cut open a body of water. This would prove difficult, and this was not only due to his lack of any bodies of water nearby. He decided to tackle one problem at a time though, and would form a small creek using his earth and water jutsu. Once he had it created, he would start on the cutting process. Placing his hands palm down on the dirt outside of the make shift creek he would start channeling chakra just like he did around the leaf.
It wouldn't be long before he decided to take a short break to eat. He had made good progress with this element today and would be able to do a lot more with it once he fully mastered it. He looked forward greatly to the various jutsu he would have at his disposal along with the potential jutsu he would be able to create using this element.

| After his short respite, Kirito would begin his training again, excited to take on this new challenge. Pushing significantly more chakra into the practice, he would maintain the same mind set. This allowed him to slowly push the water apart until there was about a foot of space between the two parts. He was very pleased with this progress and he would continue to push on it until he had achieved the level he was pleased with.
Once he finished, he decided to call it quits for the day as it was already late afternoon and e planned to begin to take on a couple of missions the following day, so he wanted to conserve his strength. Once he made it back to his suite, he would get ready for bed and would think about the progress he had made in his training to this point. He was happy he left the Land of Iron.
