Name: Hiruno, Kenshi
Nickname: A Relic of the Past(Self-Given)
Age: 50
Gender: Male
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 160 Pounds
Appearance: He has long, white hair that's often styled back. His body shows no signs of his age, partly due to the Jugo clan line, partly because of his fitness. His body is surprisingly lacking in the jacked department, as his muscle mass has died down with age. His strength hasn't quite gone down with age, but his immense muscle mass has. Don't take this as an idea that he doesn't have a bunch of muscle mass still, as he does. His arms are sizable to those of most ninja in their prime. It's one of the things that make people think he's still super young.
Another part of this, is the fact that his body
is young. It's due to how the Jugo clan genetics work, is that they stay young for a good while. His skin is still as smooth as it was many years ago. It's considered a blessing by him, as it doesn't make the kids think he's an old man out of touch with the world. Though there are some things that betray his age, none of it lies within his appearance, which is that of a younger man who was born a long, long time ago.
This fit body has a very, very tan look to it. This is due to how much time that the man has spent outside, along with the genetics of his mother and father, who were both originally from the cloud like he is. This makes his heritage obvious. It's to note that he hasn't a scar on his body, also due to the Jugo bloodline that is within him. His eyes are an alluring blue, while the rest of his color is a decidely dark tone in relation to the the color of his eyes. He's been known to say that it's what makes him stick out, not his ninja abilities.
Village: Kumogakure
Character Rank: Anbu
Character Tier: A-3
Clan: Jugo
Element: N/A
Bijuu Roll: N/A
Personality: He used to be hailed as a monster in his prime, and he still holds a level of confidence. However, he often refuses to admit that he's effectively a relic of the past at this point. He's either lost, or forgotten, how to do much of what made him famous in the past. He knows this and usually hides this unless his within family. That's because, otherwise, he'd need those feats to make people fear what he used to be. He was one of the terrifying forces in the ninja army, a one-man army next to his best friend Laxus, another one-man army.
It's to be said that there was a part of him left on that battlefield. He became less caring after the massive war, but he never truly lost it in his heart. He likes to pretend that he no longer cares about anything. That he can just, ignore those feelings and pretend that the war never happened. It plagues him. It reminds him what exists out there, but he's tried to hide the fact that he still thinks about it.
He often wakes up in the middle of the night, having nightmares about that war. There's something about a being that, even if you destroy it, comes back and comes at you again. It's something that just becomes so hopeless after you fight it. He has never forgotten that feeling, and neither has his body. He often has jerk reactions to when people come close, as a reaction to the long, long fight that happened a long time ago. He used to be so self-sacrificial, willing to fight literal armies to buy his friends some time. That's no longer him, but that's worth arguing that he used to be one of the nicest people in the world. Now, he's a husk of what he used to be.
Character History: He wasn't a particularly talented child. He was an average one that trained hard and, through time, became immensely strong. When he was young, his mother had told him something rather simple. That he'd become one of the greatest ninja of all time. Then again, most tell that to their children. Most tell them that they'll be the best, but the boy took it to heart. The boy wanted to become the best, if not for him, but for his mother that cared enough to tell him that. That's what gave him the confidence to train for the first 30 years of his life. Not that much interesting happened in the first 30 years. He became a jounin, and was really really strong.
20 years ago, the war happened. A big demon rose up and it was the ninja of the worlds job to fight them back. He was put with a long-time friend, Laxus. Man. Laxus cared about everything. About every human being on the planet and more. Man, he would redo the time he spent with Laxus if he had to trade in all his power and do it again. Those were the years. The years before the war.
He remembers the final time he felt care about the war. He couldn't exactly place it, as the war didn't particularly last long. However, in the defense of his home village, it was a losing battle for the most part. They could hold up in the village, sure, but they'd lose a lot of land in the process. They'd lose a lot of everything if they all went without having time to properly prepare. They had to leave ninja behind to hold the army off, long enough for them to make the proper preperations. They needed someone to sacrafice themselves.
Two hands shot up. Laxus and Kenshi's. The two looked at each other, and had an almost sardonic laugh. The quote that Kenshi had spoken would forever be heard and recorded.
"Comeon. You guys leave. Let me and Laxus die with a level of honor."They knew that they were about to die. They were sure of it, however both of them had decided that it was to be a risk that they had to take. They had to stop them so the village could survive. That's just how things were. If he didn't stop them here, stop them now, what in the world would his decree be for?
The camp was abandoned quickly. All except for Laxus and Kenshi. It was a certain level of irony to be had here. They sat around a camp-fire when the attack started. They had both went into the maximum strength sage transformation and ripped and tore at the army, which just kept coming back. That was fine. They'd just rip and tear at it some more. They continued this for hours, with themselves slowly getting surrounded. He had dust release, but even that didn't properly take care of the pricks.
It was when Laxus jumped in front of an attack that killed him, that would've killed Kenshi, that Kenshi had given up. He grabbed Laxus' body and bolted. Tearing apart anything in his way. He was running immensely low on chakra. He, with a tear in his eye and a serious look on his face, sapped any and all chakra from Laxus' body and turned around. He used the largest dust release technique he has ever used, and it had stopped any chasing things for hours. He grabbed the body and returned to Kumo, who then survived the war.
However, he retired shortly after the war took Laxus' life. He's kept close notes on the prodigy that is Laxus' son. He was told, while battling the monsters, that he should become a mentor to the kid if they survived. Nowadays, he sometimes regrets agreeing to that promise. But it was a promise has to keep.
He had been retired for 20 years, before lately being called back out to become a ninja in the face of impending war.
