| The light drizzle pattered down on the ground, falling around Lucianna as she watched the few people who came out spar. She had always enjoyed the rain, the comfortable familiarity of it as it rolled down her face. It was something everyone in Kirigakure had experienced. A light drizzle like this wasn't uncommon, which meant that it wouldn’t stop her from getting what she had planned on doing today, which of course was training. Today she wasn’t planning on training ninjutsu as she had been doing that all week, today she would be perfecting her kenjutsu moves. Armed with her bokken, she would make her way to the training dummy and begun striking the dummy with the wooden sword at specific places so that she could familiarize herself with hitting a target in their vital areas, or something like that.

| Shen's appearance in the Training grounds wasn't pure coincidence. His arrival had been for told deep within the scrolls of Bullshitia a land created within the confines of his mind. Shen took his steps into the training ground slowly. Upon entering he noticed a female that was currently training herself in the ways of kenjutsu. Shen looked upon her with interest. His arrival wasn't exactly to sit and watch though. He came for a different reason. He came to hone his abilities and trade tips with other shinobi. His ultimate goal was to put the last touches on some techniques he had been practicing. Here he hoped that this konoichi would help him fulfill that goal. Though first he needed to do some review. He couldn't ask her to spar with him without doing some sort of warm up.
While running was a great way for one to elevate one's heart rate and prepare one for intensive exertion Shen had something different in mind. First he would test his chakra with a simple transformation technique. Performing the appropriate handsigns Shen willed his chakra to cloak his body. Once he was encased in a shell of chakra he began to manipulate it and contort it to change his form. In a moment it would look like a pair of twins were now on the training field. One girl currently swinging her blade at a dummy. The other one would stare at her like a moron.

| As Lucianna was going through the motions, she would stop mid-swing as she felt that someone was staring at her. Her blue hues would shift to the left and the moment they had laid upon a poor imitation of herself she would let out a sigh. She wasn’t in the mood for any childish games today, all she wanted to do was get her training done and go home, was that too much to ask for? Placing the wooden weapon down, she would turn to face her “twin” before letting out another sigh. What a pain. “Can I help you? You’re kind of bothering me so if you don’t need anything could you just leave? K thanks.” Lucianna would say without expression on her face and in a flat tone. With that said she would pick up the wooden sword and begun swinging at the dummy yet again, hoping that whoever it was would just leave her alone.

| Shen didn't have time to celebrate his success as the muse of his technique decided to chastise him. For using the training grounds. With a slight twitch of his eye he undid his technique and prepared to say something. Though before he could even get the words out she had turned away and went back to hitting the wooden dummy. Shen sighed instead. He didn't know what was her problem, not once did he call out to her or attempt to interact with her in the first place. How dare she tell him to leave. Though as mad as he was in an instant he decided to ignore her. He himself was quite a ways away from the dummies in the first place so it wasn't like he was standing over her. He was going to be the mature one here someone had to.
The next technique was the tree walking/water walking technique. They both had the same principle so once one could do one... one could do the other. Taking a deep breath Shen turned towards one of the trees. Forgetting all about the girl's words he concentrated his chakra to his feet and jumped at one of the trees. His foot caught hold of the bark and it looked like he was firmly on the tree. With a smile Shen lifted his other foot in order to continue the climb. Unfortunately he lost his grip and went tumbling down to the dirt.
"Fuck!" he shouted. | |

| As she continued striking the dummy her attacks would become more fluid and precise, which was expected seeing as she had been practicing for quite some time. It was imperative that she had mastered her father’s sword style as she was wanted to be fully prepared the next time the chunin exams came around as she had no intention of missing the next one, she wanted to take the exams by storm and show the world the power of Kirigakure and the Yuki. While she was busy practicing, she would be interrupted by the person she was sharing the grounds with yet again. Sighing she would turn to see what was all the ruckus about only to find him lying face first in a pile of dirt. The poor loser. Picking up her bokken again, she would continue striking the dummy.
“You’re doing it all wrong. You have to ensure that the chakra is disturbed evenly on both of your feet or else you’ll keep falling and possibly break your neck.” Hopefully, if he did end up breaking his neck it would be when she had finished training as she didn’t want to be a witness.

| By the time Shen could shoot her a defiant look she had already went back to her own training. Was she trying to help him or make fun of him. Shen really couldn't tell though he had more pressing matters to attend to. Right now it was training his own skills. Though just to humor the girl whom wasn't paying too much attention to him he decided that he was going to follow her advice. Once again he focused chakra to his feet. Pressing his foot against a tree he found that he stuck on to it quite nicely. Following her instructions he climbed to the top of the tree to find that at this moment he had climbed the tree.
Usually he would feel elated but at this moment he could feel only bitterness. The girl was right about what he needed to do but he refused to acknowledge this. Instead he decided he was going to go back down and practice his ninjutsu. He was going to need it if he was going to make his way to becoming a reputable shinobi. Still on the top of the tree he would sit on one of the branches and begin meditation. For someone like him who had yet to learn any technique of his clan, mental focus was the best way for him to practice ninjutsu.
As he sat there his chakra began to move and fluctuate around his body. Shen could feel his physical form shifting ever so slightly. Almost from a solid to a liquid. But Shen wasn't trying to change state, not yet at least. Feeling his chakra fluctuate he would maintain his meditative state till he felt he was going through a breakthrough.

| As she continued striking the dummy as fast as she could she would notice from the corner of her that the kid had managed to climb up the tree. A smirk would appear on her lips as would notice that he wasn’t happy that her advice had actually worked but unfortunately he had to live with it. Bored of striking the dummy over and over again, she would step away from the dummy and begun practicing the later part of the technique she was looking to learn. She would gather the amount of chakra she would need for the technique before placing both hands on the wooden sword. Taking a deep breath, she would coat the blade with water and begin swinging the blade in different directions. It might have looked a tad bit silly at the moment but all would come to light soon. As she continued her swings she would notice the kid on the top of tree meditating. What really caught her attention was the fact that his body seemed to be shifting from a solid state to a liquid state. “A Hozuki? Interesting.” She muttered to herself as she watched the kid while continuing her exercise.
