The All-Seeing Eyes [Byakugan "C" Training] [Private]

Her eyes glistened as she walked down the familiar streets of Konohagakure. People stopped and shook her hand, thanking her for something she did for them at some point or another. It was like an endless sea of praise for her whenever she walked around the village in broad daylight. Her smile beamed every step of the way, warmly accepting anyone who wished to speak with her. The children who approached made her particularly happy. She loved the joyous presence they carried themselves at every turn. She hoped they'd carry that demeanor as they aged, unperturbed by the cruel realities of life.

Vaioretto finally reached a clearing, the spot of her training for the day. Fortunately for her, it was completely desolate today, void of human life. She wouldn't be bothered by anyone for the day. She activated her Byakugan, inviting the familiar feeling of information overload. She could, quite literally, see everything (except for the small blindspot behind her head, of course). Vaioretto focused onto the furthest thing she could see, straining herself and pushing beyond her limits. Her gaze fixated on a single grasshopper resting on the leaf of a tree 50 meters out.

The grasshopper stood on its hind legs, a small leaf in its mouth as it chipped away at it. Vaioretto knew next to nothing about grasshoppers, but if she had to guess, it was eating the leaf. She shifted her focus to something else in the forest -- this time a rather large squirrel scurrying up and around a tree. She was constantly amazed by the amount of detail the Byakugan afforded her at such absurd distances. She could clearly count each individual hair that made up the squirrel's thick hair.

At the same time, her eyes were subconsciously observing everything around her. They tracked everything, ever observant beyond her control to make sure their master remained safe from harm. The chances of someone with the Byakugan being caught off guard was near zero and that fact became more and more apparent to Vaioretto each time she utilized it. Her safety would only increase the more her ability in using it did, so it was paramount that she mastered these eyes of her as fast as possible.

Vaioretto had spent the previous night devising ways to train her Byakugan and had settled on one method in particular. While better in practice with two people, it would work just fine with one. She walked further into the training grounds until she reached a clearing behind trees. She centered herself in the middle of the clearing and closed her eyes, allowing the image of her surroundings to form in her consciousness without the aid of her vision. She then focused on a particular tree and waited for a leaf to fall. Once it did, she'd throw a kunai and pin the leaf against the tree. It was great in theory, but its effectiveness remained to be tested. Still, she waited patiently, pacing her breath with her thoughts to sync her body perfectly.

A sharp gust of wind pierced through the forest and shook the trees, rustling their leaves off their endless branches. Quickly, Vaioretto focused on one leaf in particular and tracked it as it edged closer and closer to the ground. Just before it did, she turned and threw her kunai at it, piercing it against the stump of a tree. She opened her eyes, overtaken by her natural human instincts, and confirmed her success. She smiled at her work and took a deep breath before closing her eyes and refocusing herself for the next falling of the leaves.

After about four hours of repeating the process, Vaioretto had grown tired of pinning leaves against tree stumps with her kunai. Furthermore, the stress she had placed on her eyes had begun giving her a massive headache. Still, this was when true progress was made, when one began feeling pain and stood on the verge of surrendering to the pain. Pushing past this struggle was what would eventually bare fruit. She took a break for a few minutes before beginning her exercise once more.

The sun had come down and was replaced by the shine of the crescent moon. The way the light of the moon rebounded off Vaioretto's smooth, blond hair was nothing short of exceptional. It highlighted her best features and made her appear like an Earth-bound goddess, jailed by a prison of soil. Any onlookers would no doubt be awestruck by her perfection.

"I knew I'd find you here, kid." It was her dad. He must have made it over to her spot during her break while her Byakugan had been deactivated. "Why were you looking for me?"
