| Kirito had awoken from his makeshift tent to a rather loud sound. It would seem that an animal had wandered into his little camp site. Moving slowly, he would throw on his haori that he had been using as a blanket and would peek out of his tent. It would seem there was an enormous bear rummaging through his bags. He knew he didn't have his sword, but he needed to find some way to get rid of the giant bear. It was easily ten feet tall simply on all fours, so he knew it was considered a monstrous bear in size when standing. He decided he would use this unique opportunity to practice a jutsu he had seen preformed but felt that he lacked the ability to use when he was in Suna. That had been at least a month to two months ago now and he felt more than ready to give it a shot. He would begin to focus on moving his wind release chakra through his body, into his arms and finally stopping it in his hands. Specifically, it was found congregated in his fingertips as this is where he would be releasing it from.
Focusing, he would swing his hand it a slashing motion, intent on cleaving one of the bears massive legs off at he knee. This did not happen however as only a small breeze of wind left his hand. This was a minor set back, but it would seem the bear either didn't notice him or didn't consider him to be much of a threat. So, he would prepare to try again, pushing even more wind chakra into his fingertips. He needed to try to push it out with a great amount of force to truly get the technique working properly.

| He would release the jutsu with far more force this attempt. It had enough force to cause his Haori to billow in the wind. This seemed to do the trick somewhat as the bear turned around and released a mighty roar as it stood to its full 18 feet height. Kirito would leap out of the way as its massive paw crashed down onto the pile of sticks and leaves he had made into a tent for him to sleep in. He would attempt to form another blade of wind, but it required too much focus time and he had to dodge another bear paw. It would seem that the massive beast was not interested in giving him any time to prepare for his jutsu.
This simple fact meant that Kirito would need to focus his chakra and learn on the fly how to preform the jutsu with much more speed and grace than he had in his first attempt. He would also need to quickly form a plan on how to distract the beast long enough to prepare himself. An idea hit him and he grabbed a handful of dust off the ground and leapt high into the air right into the bears face. Tossing the dirt in it's eyes, he would land swiftly and begin to focus his chakra.

| Focusing his chakra to his fingertips, Kirito would prepare to use the jutsu again as he saw that the bear was working on wiping the dirt from its eyes. Pushing the chakra out as hard as he could he would swing his hand as quickly as possible. But nothing happened. In his shock, Kirito was unprepared for the bear paw that smacked him hard into a tree. Catching his breath he would dodge to the right as another one came down. It would seem that this bear had no intention of letting him leave this altercation alive. He seemed to be missing a key part of his jutsu. He wasn't able to make it slice through the beast like the shinobi he had seen the shinobi slice through numerous large rocks.
Focusing now on surviving this bear's onslaught, Kirito would simply settle for running wind chakra through his arms to keep things moving. He dodged another attack and delivered a punch to the bears ankle. It would roar in pain at being attacked in such a weak area, but would continue to attempt to bite him and stomp him to bits. He had to roll out of the way as it actually lept into the air to attempt to smash him.

| Kirito was forced to leap to the side to dodge the beasts many strikes. He knew he needed to build up some space between himself and the beast. So, he took off running as fast as he could. To his surprise, the bear was actually keeping up with his maximum speed. This was amazing given the beasts massive frame, but it was keeping up with him. In fact, it was gaining on him. He ran until he came to a cliff face, seemed like it was time for a final stand of sorts. He could see the bear approaching him quickly, but adrenaline caused his perception of the beasts speed to increase, so he had around a hundred meters of space.
He would hold his hand to his side, pushing chakra to it. The speed at which it moved was in pieces of seconds, but to Kirito it felt like ages. He could see each of the bears hairs rise and fall as it continued to run. He needed to get this jutsu right before it got to him or he was doomed to be eaten. Pushing the chakra into his fingertips he could feel it building up to almost feeling like his hands were going to burst from so much energy being pressurized into them.

| Finally, he moved his hand in a slashing motion pushing out all the chakra he had stored up. He also added a blade like edge to it by grinding his chakra down to a point. It was most definitely effective as the large blade of wind that came out seemed to be moving at the perfect speed. The bear had almost closed the distance between them and his blade was aimed right at its face. While it was lacking the true potential of the technique, it was powerful enough to cut the bears right eye. It released a mighty roar as it reached its paw up to touch its new wound. It recoiled at the sting of touching it and fixed Kirito with a great glare.
It wouldn't be far fetched to say that the beast was attempting to kill Kirito with its single eyed glare. Once it got over the shock, it came at Kririto full force. Kirito would push more chakra into his hand, sending multiple slashes towards the beast. Some of them hit, but many missed or did little damage. He seemed to be sacrificing quality for quantity, but it seemed to do the trick as it was pushing the beast back from him.

| He knew that only an extremely powerful blow would be enough to take down the beast fully. He was also expending far more chakra doing this than he normally would in a fight and if he were to be honest, he didn't know why. He just had been holding back so much of his power from this beast and it kindof irked him that he was holding back in such a manner against an opponent that was so much weaker than any he had ever faced before. He pushed his thoughts aside and looked at the bear with a pure determination and ire in his eyes.
Pulling his hand to the side, he would push all the chakra he could muster into his hand, sending a slash of air towards the bear. This particular blade however had far more power in it than the last that he sent as the bear was fully cleaved in two. It was a rather gruesome sight, but it wasn't that bad as Kirito had seen and done worse in his time. He supposed he wasn't really a shinobi, he just possessed the skill of one. This was irrelevant at the moment though, so he went back to his camp to gather his things. He had a long journey ahead of him.
