Description: A bandit encampment has been erected in your land and they have been terrorizing the local merchants, reducing trade coming to your village. Your kage has hand selected you to go in and destroy the camp, kill all bandits and wipe it off the face of the earth.

Rei had experience with this, and so did Kyo. Rei knew this for fact due to a recent mission they had accomplished. The Hokage Kosuke had hand-picked Rei and Kyo Hyuga to eradicate a group of bandits somewhere within the land of fire. "We'll do these bandits like we did the last group when we find them." she would say, already conveying their plan: assuming Kyo didn't have another plan. Quick decisive annihilation was best. Unlike last time, the two of them wouldn't have to hold back or spare anyone during this mission. Rei pondered whether she should let lose or hold back. Truthfully, she wanted to see the extent of Kyo's potential. He was a good shinobi and strong for his rank... but currently he couldn't hold a candle to Rei. She wished that one day, he would be comparable to her... For one day soon, she would be in need of his loyalty and servitude.
As the heiress of the clan, once her father was dead- others who disapprove her, might try to take her position by defeating her. They would have to go through Kyo first. He was her knight. SHe kept this in mind as the two of them would leave Konoha, Rei actovating her Byakugan to pick up the bandit trail.

Kyo showered thinking about what will he go about this mission with Rei. There was so much evil in the world and these fucking bandits were just a stepping stone to where he wanted to be. As always law breakers will be pushed with nothin less than death. He remembered the day before when he saw the little girl and her brother beaten. Their faces barely recognizable. 'The bandits had pounced on them, said the boy, 'and when they told the bandits that the only money was 100 ryou to buy medicine for their sick mother they beat the living hell out of both of them. Kyo was pissed and swore he had to take this mission. How dare they do this? These men had no honor and they deserved to die. Every single last one of them.

And so Kyo gathered all of his ninja gear and met Rei by the usual point at the gate before every mission. Kyo was solemn and hoped Rei would not notice his mood. His speed was steady and moderate as they went on through the forests. Rei would follow he was sure in activating her special eyes to better scout the surrounding areas of the encampment for traps and patrolling troops. As they travelled Kyo decided to speak to Rei for a bit.

"Rei sama. I want to ask you a question." His voice deep, rich and full of authority as expected of a Hyuga clan member. "What is your take on law and order? When you become the clan head I truly wish to know what is your stand on it." His face impassive as he periodically looked at her as they jumped through the trees.

Rei had been so intended on the mission, that she hadn't noticed Kyo's somber expression, she had simply assumed it was him being serious for the mission ahead. Yet as the two of them jumped through the trees, Kyo's rich voice interrupted the dull rhythm of their feet against trees. His question he posed suddenly, curious and also concerning to Rei. It was a deep question, one not easily answered. Right and wrong was determined by the like-minded opinion of the masses. She would allow several long moments to pass as she gathered her thoughts and chose distinctive words to convey her opinion before answering. She would move closer to him as they traveled so that she may speak more casually and less strained. "Law is what the powers over you decide. Order is balance between people and governing figures. Only when the ruler knows, understands and respects their subjects... and the subjects respect and adore their sovereign, may order be obtained." she would say, insinuating that a ruler was nothing without the support of their subjects... and the people were nothing without a ruler to guide them.

She would leave that as it were for the moment until Kyo understood for himself and accepted his own truth. Whatever that may be for him. For Rei, as the heiress of her people, it was her responsibility to guide and protect them. She loved her extended family, even if some of their traditions were mentally and emotionally taxing. Those thoughts could wait however. Her eyes chances upon the bandit camp they were looking for. Ten bandits in total with no apparent leader, just a band of ruffians who used sheer number to get what they wanted through intimidation and violence. People like these bandits were not fit for mercy or redemption. Cruel, power hungry people deserved only one thing. Death. She wanted to make a point to Kyo, surely he understood that she possessed the kindness and intellect to serve her people... but he needed to know that she possessed the power to protect her people too.

While Kyo and her were still headed in the bandit's direction, Rei would suddenly boost to full speed and disappear from Kyo's vision in a slightly visible blur as she raced towards where the bandits were currently huddled over their newest haul of treasure. All ten of them conveniently close together as Rei appeared right in the midst of the bandits, their eyes blinking in disbelief even before they could react to the sudden and bold invasion of a shinobi. Rei stood right in the middle of them with a look of disdain on her face. Not a single word was said as her body suddenly began to glow a soft red hue. A split second passed a the bandits instinctively reached for their weapons or to perform handseals: the next instant, the red flash of power surged through all of them as Rei attacked without lifting a finger. The red emission of chakra surged through the bandits, their treasures and a full ten meters around Rei's current location. The surge of red chakra evaporated the liquids in the badnits' bodies, mummifying their corpses into crunchy dried bags of flesh. The metals nearby melted into a pool of combined liquids of silver, gold and iron. The woods and grass around her were singed and flaming as the surge of red chakra disappeared, casting a harmless but extremely hot breeze of air rushing passed Kyo as he would finally catch up to her position.

Her words rang true to him. And it is by this law he lived by. Kyo believed that if someone in his position does not do what he can to maintain law and order then who else will? He would rather die than break the rule of law. It was from the time his woman died. She took his virginity and they made a son. Both of them ended up dying while the mother was in childbirth. Kyo was devastated to say the least. One thing led to another and he promised himself he would never in life break the law again.

It was while Kyo's vision landed on the bandit camp did Rei suddenly take off with a burst of speed. He of course could not keep up but he increased his own speed to maximum all the same. Even though his body could not keep up with Rei physically, he could see she landed amongst the bandits themselves. Coins and jewels of great value was in the center as they were like flies to honey over the treasure. Rei landed directly in their midst. What Kyo saw next forever changed how he looked at Rei.

Her body he could see her chakra network as he raced towards her. Chakra exploded from her body and brought the bodies of all the men like dried up husks as if their souls were never there. Kyo skated off of a tree as a very hot wave pushed past him. He stood there wide eyed staring at Rei. She was dangerous and from that moment on, Kyo decided one of his goals was to somehow surpass her.
