Learning a new Skill Empty

Voltaire took his experience with the spiders very seriously and knew that he was going to have to master a skill that would allow him to get them to his world, so it was time to become adept in time space Ninjutsu. He decided, for a change, to start in a meditation pose, eyes closed and all, so that he could really try and focus on the time space continuum for a moment so that he would have at least experienced what he is going to be manipulating in the future to call force this eight legged minions. He kept his eyes closed and focused on everything around him, sounds, feelings, the wind, the sand beneath him,
the feelings of the nice fabrics on all of his clothing, even the passage of time itself did not go unnoticed in these moments of real tranquility.

As Voltaire concentrated more he was also aware of what was around him in a more abstract space, something so basic that most human beings become unaware of it by a certain age if they do not study sage arts or sensory ninjutsu. He noticed the volume of the space that his body encompassed and what lay beyond it. It went on internally as much as it did eternally, moving into other dimensions as it hit any potential end, a concept that Voltaire for all of his intelligence had issues understanding. How could there be an end to all things? What could possibly lay beyond that? Would that be where the summoning beasts lived? His Chakra was reacting in strange ways as he focused on these odd ponderings and wishy washy philosophical nonsense, though to him at the time it felt deeper than any very real chasm. Like he could get lost in these thoughts for an eternity and never be satisfied with an answer he was given even if he saw all of it with his own beautiful blue eyes.

He felt as though his chakra was beyond him, greater than him in the sense that it was connected to something or somewhere or maybe even somebody, no plural somebodies else. This was not some great spirit or all connecting life force like some mystics believed in, it was like his chakra was allowing him a connection to spiders that he did not even know for sure the location or reality of. It was beyond him, but it also did not leave his body, like some outline of him existed in all other universes and he only had to find the right way to go into that world. It was as empowering as it was terrifying, and it was really giving Voltaire one of those rare, precious, horrible moments of humility as he was forced to ponder his insignificance in the world. Though as he would later remind himself, it made no difference as long as he was important to the world as he and the other ninja of the world knew it. He only hoped that this would be something that would be able to help get him closer to that. If not it was a whole lot of wasted time.

As Voltaire focused on the flow of time he found something truly horrific, that it was not a one directional flow but it was a river that flowed in both directions, and branched off going both ways into infinity itself, not even flowing consistently as it appeared that everything from the cells in his body to the celestial bodies somehow impeded the flow of it, changing the speed but that alone never changing the direction. There were currents within these currents that flowed with no respect for his understanding of liquid or gaseous motion.

Voltaire was now aware of something creeping up on him, something that would eventually take him, claim him, and make him its own for good. Voltaire became aware now of the nothing that separated all of the related concepts that he had been mentally and spiritually interacting with. It was not even black, it was a lack of darkness, a lack of light, a lack of hope, a lack of dread,
it was simply there, always had been, always will be, and also was never there to begin with in many ways. It was the darkness that separated the planes that he and the spiders dwelled on and he now knew what it really meant to cross it. Voltaire knew from this moment on that this would likely be the furthest point that he was going to reach in his Jikukan training, if he could even get through this,
because he would never be ready to cross that dark void if he knew any more about it, or even less.
He had reached a peak where he would be able to dabble, but never did he want to try to control this.
As convinced that he was at times of his own potential divinity, he knew for sure that this was left up only to the actual deities to tamper with. Maybe he would just tamper with it indirectly by tampering with them, but he wanted so badly to end this so that he no longer felt that looming nothingness on him, and he knew that he would have to shove his hand through it every time he reached for one of his arachnid summons.
