| - Mission:
Name: Pretend to be a Child! Location: Within The Village Rank: D Team: N/A Client: Mr. Orion Rewards: 200 Exp and 500 Ryo Description: Mr.Orion was dishonest at the dinner table, and said they had a child! You need to become the child for the few hours she decides to come over for dinner. Free dinner provided to whoever takes this mission. You must maintain that your Mr.Orion’s child.
This was a strange mission for Jin. He was not a liar and he did hold himself to higher standards but a mission was a mission. And sometimes, for the greater good a shinobi has to deceive others. Well, there was honestly no greater good in this one but it was a mission. And as a shinobi, he couldn’t fail it. The village would obviously get money for the mission, so he had to do his part. He couldn’t let allow a bad review of konoha from a client, that would deter others and may even damage the village’s economy; depending on the social standing of the client.
So, Jin just had to do it. He met Mr. Orion prior to the dinner and discussed the details of the child. Like what sort of child had he described and what kind of personality did he expect the child to have. He took notes so he could be very specific. If this was a lie, then he needed to make sure there were no loose ends and that his and Mr. Orion’s story matched for every little detail. He was thorough with his inquiries. Once he was done, he studies his notes and then used the transformation jutsu to become the child that Mr. Orion had described to him. Mr. Orion approved of this transformation.
After that, Jin practiced the mannerism expected of him until dinner time. The guests were punctual and on time, Jin received all the guests as Mr. Orion’s son in his transformed form. Using the transformation would help Jin keep his own identity a secret. He wouldn’t have to answer weird questions later. Not to mention, a boy wearing a white mask and a long overcoat; that’d probably be unacceptable in Mr. Orion’s social circle.
The transformation worked nicely and Jin’s notes came in handy. It took a couple of hours but the dinner went fine and Jin did his part. As the whole thing concluded, Jin departed instructing Mr. Orion to think before he spoke and try not to lie again.
It was taxing on Jin but he somehow managed to pull it off.
