Defending the infrastructure [p, Kirito]

Mission:

Ozai casually leaned up against the Mizukage's tower waiting on the other ninja to arrive for the mission. The day was pretty bland not too sunny and kind of cloudy. From what Ozai got from the note they would be defending a pretty important place from an attack today. Considering that the land of water was a lot of islands it was very important for the people to be able to travel and bring supplies in to keep the trade going allowing Kirigakure to thrive. It had been quite some time since he was on a mission of such importance and Ozai was definitely ready to rock and roll. As soon as he had received the orders he gathered his gear with haste and just had finished putting Kusanagi on his back as he made it to the Mizukage's Tower. He began to wonder who all would be coming with him and where they were. It was obvious that the village was active today with all the people circulating from the tower to the market and so forth. Maybe they had been caught up in all the traffic causing them to be a tad bit late.

Kirito had overslept. It was not a good thing to do, but the Chuunin was tired from all the training he had been doing in the last week or two. He had learned quite a few jutsu that were useful to him, he was also in the process of mastering two new elements. He had gotten the missive for his latest mission, but had overslept and feared he might be a few minutes late. That's about when he remembered that he could now get anywhere in the village in an instant. Focusing for a split second, he felt his seal that was on the Mizukage tower activate and suddenly he appeared there as if out of thin air.

The white haired, blue eyed chuunin had on his normal black gi and white haori with the kanji for three on the back. His blade tucked safely across his back. Looking to the side, he noticed Ozai, so he must be his partner for this mission as well. "Ozai-san, How have you been since I saw you last? Your training has been going well, yes?" Kirito for one had improved exponentially since they last met, he was excited to put his abilities to the test during this mission.

And out of the blue Kirito was there, it seemed like with no effort at all. With the normal greetings, Ozai replied "I've been pretty well all has been going well. I haven't done a lot of training recently but I have plans for moving on to something big here after a while. Something that will make me quite the opponent. I also have plans to train my senjutsu to further levels and potentially become a grand sage like you. How have you been yourself?" Pulling up the parchment and giving it a quick once over it looked like a group of enemies estimated to be around 5-6 ninja were planning to destroy the bridge that connected Kirigakure to the outside world. "I hope you have came prepared for the mission today we cannot let the bridge be destroyed even if it costs our lives.

Kirito would nod as Ozai spoke of his trainings and such things, even asking about Kirito's own training. "It has been going well, I have progressed by leaps and bounds in the last few weeks, mastering a few new jutsu and even mastering the art of Fuuinjutsu. And don't you worry, I am definitely ready for this mission. I am sure that we can handle anything that we happen across my friend." It was confidence and excitement in his voice that betrayed the fact that this S-ranked shinobi was still a thirteen year old boy. He was a powerful shinobi, and he was definitely wise, and advanced in intelligence for his age, but at the end of the day, he was still just over a decade old. He was the typical age one would find themselves as a Genin or maybe a Chuunin if they were truly skilled. With a few jutsu, but still on a team as they lack true ability and experience, but his time travelling the world had sobered him up and robbed him of what would be his childhood naivety.

"That's good I can never find enough time for training, you're progressing enough for the both of us. I too have no worries about the mission knowing you're tagging along with me we should have some fun this time around. Let's get going." With that being said Ozai took off through the village flickering his way through the crowd and then out of the village gates. The trip to the land of water's bridge wasn't a very long one considering that Kirigakure was the major village here. The scenery on the way wasn't much to look at just your typical mix of nature with a few travelers every now and then. As Ozai arrived to the bridge he hid behind a large tree with a good vantage point. Taking a quick gander the bridge seemed rather empty and untampered. Unsure of how they should approach he waited on Kirito's input.

Kirito followed Ozai through the countryside nodding in acknowledgment to the passersby, he recognized a few of them from various missions he had taken on. As soon as they made it to the bridge, Kirito could just feel there was something off. Taking a moment to gather his senses, he realized he could sense an illusion covering the bridge where at least 30 D and C-rank ninja were busy as bees planting explosives all across the bridge. Kirito could also sense a few more powerful chakra signatures across the bridge on the other side. Knowing that time was of the essence, he decided to take a bit of lead here, as he knew with his latest skill, he was the faster of the two. "Ozai-san, there are at least six ninja on the far side of the bridge, all with higher chakra signatures than those flunkies down there, so I'm betting they are the leaders. You go and confront them while I take care of these bombers. When I am done, I will come and help you out! Make sure to save me a couple!" He finished the last part with a small chuckle and a wink. Pulling out a kunai, he would discreetly place one of his seals on the hilt where he pulled it out and would throw it at an arc where it would come down right over the bridge. Forming a couple of hand seals, he would multiply that marked Kunai into a hundred and one marked kunai all raining down over the bridge. The moment they landed, he was gone in a flash, reappearing here and there, slashing the bandits with his sword.

And just like that Kirito was gone, with a not so elaborate plan but none the less it was one that would work. At least if Kirito was able to disable all of the bombers it would give the duo a better chance at stopping the leaders before they damaged the bridge in any way. Walking out from behind the tree Ozai didn't have any special way to move faster, so he just casually made his way over to the entrance of the bridge. Pulling Kusanagi from his back he flung the sword forward and watched as it rapidly extended to the other side of the bridge. The blade punctured the face of a shinobi standing in the group. Blood flew everywhere covering the group, Kusanagi retracted back to Ozai, and the body dropped. Ozai chuckled as a crimson color replaced the normal white steel that he was used to. After wiping the blood off on his leg Ozai began to walk towards the middle of the bridge where he would eventually meet with 4 shinobi who seemed rather displeased. They didn't seem to be anything special, not even too intelligent at that.

"So what exactly are you fools planning to do? Attacking a Major Village's only path to other villages isn't the brightest idea you've had. I suggest you just surrender now."

The group would just laugh off Ozais words with one of the shinobi replying "You don't know what you've gotten yourself into, now you get to die and the bridge is going to blow up!" Before the shinobi could finish a small female darted from the group raising her sword to attack Ozai.

Kirito had finished killing all the bandits, the bombs were also rather easy to deactivate. It just took soaking them in water. His next task would be to aid Ozai in defeating the leaders of this little attack. IT would seem that he had already engaged them in combat. One of them had deemed it safe to attack Ozai head on, this was foolish for many reasons, but it wasn't too bad of an opportunity for Kirito himself to attack. Throwing a Kunai marked with his seal, it would lodge itself into the side of one of the ninja's head, killing him instantly. Kirito would then flash next to the kunai, pulling it out and attacking the man next to him. But, this man seemed to be in much better shape and managed to deflect the kunai strike. So, Kirito had to go on the defensive, blocking and parrying strikes from the mans ax. He simply hoped that Ozai could handle the remaining two assailants while he was tied up fighting this man. It wouldn't be too long before he had to draw his blade to take the man down. He drew his blade with his left hand. It was done a bit clumsily, but he was also still fighting with the Kunai in his right hand. This was proving to be more of a challenge than he had originally thought.

Before the girl could land an attack Ozai effortlessly blocked the attack with Kusanagi shattering the girls sword into pieces before bringing his own blade down and catching her shin's with the flat of the blade. The girl would fall to the ground because of this and Ozai would take his blade and shove it into her neck decapitating her. The last ninja was extremely frightened as he was splatter with the blood of his lost comrade. Unsure of what to do he began to run down the bridge where they had originally came from. Just as the man was about to reach the threshold he was impaled by a dark figure.

The last ninjas body hit the floor as the figure made his way to the middle of the bridge the sun illuminated him. It was a rather tall slender man who surrounded by a cage of bones now covered in blood. "Why must you village ninja always get involved in our affairs?" the man said with a delicate voice. " They send a boy and a freak to deal with us, you should just leave now and abandon your village like we did, you would be better off" As the man finished his rant he raised his arm and shot a rather large bone in Ozai's direction as a warning shot.

They defeated the few ninja that were hanging about by the bridge, but it would seem now that their leader had made an appearance. Judging by the bones stuck out around him, Kirito could only assume that this man was a former Kirigakure ninja that hailed from the Kaguya clan. It was an extremely war-like clan that exalted warrior status above all else. He had fired a bone at Ozai which could only be assumed was a warning shot, a 'Leave now or Die' type of thing. Kirito decided that he would make the first move, hopefully capturing this man to bring him back to the village to face justice. Clapping his hands together, he would send four rather thick steel looking chains out of the ground straight for their attacker. He had attempted to dodge, but the chains moved in a spread fashion that cut him off from any possible escapes. Once he was caught, Kirito turned his body into light and moved forwards faster than any eye can keep track of. Slamming his hand into the mans forehead, he would place a chakra restraint seal on the man, causing the bones that were surrounding him to phase back into his body. Though, he was sure that wouldn't be enough to hold him for long.
