Rank Up Mission: Departure

Mission:

The sun had barely risen over the tallest buildings of Sunagakure no Sano, yet Kiraku had been long awake. An open letter lay strewn in front of him, a quite long mission brief  He had cooked up trails rations, consisting of sandwiches and meat, packed training scrolls in a leather bag to read for the journey. He set himself to dress for the journey, donning clothes to bear the most tenacious of conditions. He walked across the sand-swept roads, mostly empty except for the odd shopkeeper bustling along. He was covered from head to toes in ragged clothing; only his eyes showing beneath as he read and re-read the mission brief, memorizing each and every word. This mission could put him a cut above the rest in rank too yet the Kage somehow made it as boring and as mundane as any of the other missions he had done. He made it to the gates, a mercantile wagon waiting to take him to the start of his mission. It was packed with sandstone, Sunakagure's main import, yet the lip of the wagon was cleared enough for him to perch himself upon. Without a word, the shodden wheels started spinning and soon enough the village was fading in the sands. He gave the brief one last look, his eyes turning briefly crimson before blowing lightly on it, a light flame consuming the paper into dust in the wind.
