Name: Nen
Parent Elements: N/A
DNA Required: None, seals off Ninjutsu and Genjutsu and Samurai Techniques upon the first activation.
Description: Nen is a power based on the user's spirit that manifests from their pores. While similar to Chakra, Nen mechanically works very different, providing a wider variety of potential abilities at the cost of only having a few skills. Because of this potential lack of versatility, it's rarely used among ninja.
Abilities: Nen is divided into six distinctive classes with four fundamental skills providing minor abilities along the way. These fundamental techniques can be used by all classes, however a Nen User's true strength comes from a mastery of their existing classes, which can do practically anything given the right restrictions. However, because of how limited abilities are, one must carefully consider what the want their ability to be or else they'll be ill-prepared in specific situations.
Obtaining Nen: The method to obtain Nen is simple, to acquire Nen one must either meditate or awaken their innate Nen after being attacked by an existing Nen user. Any character can start with Nen if they chose, but to obtain Nen one can either spend 5 posts and 3,000 Exp to meditate, clearing their mind as they focus on the power. However, the user can also obtain Nen after being hit or attacked by another person's Nen. Doing this method requires the user to make a thread the day after taking the injury where they can spend 3 posts in horrible agony as their pores are forced open, activating their Nen. It should be noted that this process can be stopped if the user wills it, meaning only those who are truly focused on gaining Nen can awaken their Nen after fighting a Nen user.
However, either way, obtaining Nen comes at a price. By activating Nen, the user's chakra system will be permanently thrown out of balance. This prevents them from using Ninjutsu and Genjutsu of any rank, although the user's chakra can still be used for Taijutsu techniques ONLY if the user has investment in the Enhancer Class (which shall be considered 'using Nen' instead of 'using Chakra'). Additionally, it should be noted that the user's body will rely on Nen to be strong. This means that if the user is not accessing their Nen through a technique or another Nen effect, their total stats will be reduced by half until they activate their Nen again.

Nen Fundamentals: Nen is broken up into four main fundamentals, Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu. Each of these has a specific minor ability associated with it that the user will awaken upon gaining access to Nen. Consider these to be E-Rank Techniques, things necessary for learning more advanced Nen skills but techniques the user will naturally know if they've awakened their Nen and have some form of teacher to learn Nen from.
Name: Ten
Rank: E
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Self
Description: The user's invisible aura wraps around their body, strengthening it. Upon gaining Nen, a user's stats are halved while not using Ten (rounded up). However, by activating Ten, which is a Nen user's natural state, the user's stats are reverted to normal.
Ex. Someone with 100 Strength will have their Strength reduced to 50 until activating Ten, in which case their strength will return to 100.
Requirements: Must obtain Nen and learn Ten from a Nen master, either PC or NPC.
Name: Zetsu
Rank: E
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Self
Description: The act of the user stopping all Nen from escaping their body. While people capable of sensing chakra are also capable of sensing Nen, this makes the user completely invisible to all forms of energy detection, making it easier to hide. However, without activating Ten, the user's stats will be halved, making them weaker and more vulnerable to attacks.
Requirements: Must obtain Nen and learn Zetsu from a Nen master, either PC or NPC
Name: Ren
Rank: E
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Self
Description: The user strengthens and expands their aura, boosting all their stats past their natural cap by 10. This cannot be used with any technique other than Ten, which is required for use. While not directly too useful, Ren is essential for learning more powerful Nen skills later on.
Requirements: Must obtain Nen and learn Ren from a Nen master, either PC or NPC. The user must also activate Ten before using Ren.
Name: Hatsu
Rank: E
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Self-Long
Description: The user manipulates their invisible aura into a variety of forms. While completely useless on its own, Hatsu allows Nen users to form shapes and will eventually allow a Nen user to create their own special ability based on their unique personality.
Requirements: Must obtain Nen and learn Hatsu from a Nen master, either PC or NPC

Adept Abilities: After a Nen user understands the fundamentals of Nen, they can finally train to apply their Nen abilities. Doing so should be considered essentially like moving their Nen skill from D to C, automatically obtaining these skills upon doing so. If a user's clan or starting tier allows them to start at one tier higher than D of their choosing, then they can skip the three posts of training that would be required to raise this skill and just start with these abilities.
Name: Gyo
Rank: C
Type: Nan
Element: N/A
Range: Self
Description: By focusing invisible Nen aura in their eyes, users are able to see another person's Nen. This ability does not work on Chakra and cannot be activated while using any other Nen ability except for Ten. This can also be used to see through Genjutsu.
Requirements: Must know Ren
Name: In
Rank: C
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Self
Description: A more effective use of Zetsu, allowing the user to precisely restrain their aura to specific points instead of just turning it on or off. This allows the user to potentially trick other Nen users by making them underestimate the user. This can also be used to dispel Genjutsu similarly to the Ninjutsu technique "Kai Release".
Requirements: Must know Zetsu
Name: Shu
Rank: C
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Varied
Description: Shu allows the user to coat objects in their Nen, allowing Nen techniques to be used on things other than the user. This is mainly used to boost the durability of weapons through Ren or any Advanced Technique.
Requirements: Must know Ten
Name: En
Rank: C
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: 50 Meters
Description: The user's invisible aura is radiated around them, allowing them to sense any movement within a 50 meter range. This technique is incredibly useful for detecting sneak attacks, but the user cannot use it while activating any other Nen technique, including Ten. This means that while being used, the user's Stats will be halved.
Requirements: Must know Ren and Ten

Advanced Techniques: These are where Nen users begin to shine. Upon learning all four fundamentals and the four Adept Abilities, the user can eventually train for 5 Posts to boost their Nen Skill from Adept to Expert, learning these skills. This can also be achieved by any clan ability or starting tier that can boost a chosen skill to Expert Rank. Because of this, these Advanced Techniques should be treated as B Rank abilities and all of them will be gained upon reaching Expert Rank Skill in Nen.
Name: Ko
Rank: B
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Self
Description: The user coats a specific body part or weapon in focused Nen, boosting Strength and Durability of that object by a set amount while diverting that amount of Nen away from the rest of the user's body. This can boost a body part by up to 50 Strength and Durability while decreasing the Strength and Durability of all other body parts by the same amount.
Ex. If a person has 100 Strength and Durability, they can focus their right hand by up to 50 points, giving it 150 Strength and Durability. However, all other parts of their body will be reduced to 50 Strength and 50 Durability since the user would be diverting all of their Nen into one point. The user CANNOT reduce any stat below 1 through this technique.
Body parts are as follows
- Spoiler:
-Head and neck
-Upper Torso
-Lower Torso
-Upper Arms and Shoulders (Left or Right)
-Lower Arms and Elbows (Left or Right)
-Hands (Left or Right)
-Upper Legs and Knees (Left or Right)
-Lower Legs and Feet (Left or Right)
Any other appendages can also be used, following similar conventions.
Requirements: Must know Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu
Name: Ken
Rank: B
Type: Nen
Element: N/A
Range: Self
Description: The user coats their body and any potential weapon in a more powerful aura, giving a notable boost to their abilities. This boosts all stats by 20 while in use, but cannot be used while Ko is active. This makes it an invaluable technique for combat and, for Nen users, smartly switching between Ken and Ko is often a major deciding factor of close range combat.
Requirements: Must know Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu

Nen Abilities and Classes: After gaining experience with the Advanced Techniques, Ken and Ko, a Nen user will finally become skilled enough to finally create their own Nen Ability based on their personality and needs. Nen Abilities can be extremely powerful due to the user's ability to create conditions that boost their power, but Nen Abilities may take longer to learn based if they don't align with their Nen Class.
To create a Nen Ability, a user must first be capable of reaching an A Rank Skill. The user must then declare what their Nen Class is and list it on their Update Page before spending 5 posts training to obtain their Nen Ability. All Nen Abilities are considered either A or S Rank techniques that require no Chakra to use, instead requiring one condition of the user's choice suck as a limited number of uses per day, a specific position, a wait time, or any other potential restriction. The more specific the restriction, the more powerful of a technique can be created. However, a person can only know 3 Nen Abilities and all of them must be trained.
Any Nen Ability using the user's chosen Class requires 5 posts to create, but must be approved as a Jutsu with its type being listed as 'Nen'. However, any Nen Ability outside of the user's class will take longer to train based on how many spaces away said class is on the 'Nen Class Hexagon' (seen below). One space away will require 7 posts. Two spaces away will require 10 posts. Any ability opposite on the chart from the user's Nen Class will require a full 15 posts to create.
Abilities CANNOT be bought through Exp and MUST be trained. It should also be noted that Nen Abilities CAN be adjusted, requiring them to be re-approved and re-trained. Additionally, all Nen Abilities a person creates should follow a clear, specific, theme of some form since all Nen Abilities are based on a specific favored thing or personality aspect of the user.
Classes are as follows-
Enhancer: The user can form a technique based on effecting their body or a held object by making it stronger, faster, or more durable in some way. This includes powerful physical moves, stat boosts, and other such abilities.
Emitter: The user can form an ability based around launching Aura in some way as a visible attack. This can be anything from energy blasts to flashy beams or other tricky projectile or ranged attacks that work and appear as determined in the Ability Description.
Transmuter: The user forms their aura into a specific element or material of their choosing. This can be anything from forming strings to creating lightning to highten one's reflexes to launching blasts of fire at an enemy and everything conceivably in-between.
Manipulator: The user is capable of manipulating a specific material or target after putting their Nen into it. The specifics vary greatly from user to user, and abilities can range to anything from controlling flying swords to creating an army out of dolls or corpses.
Conjurer: The user creates an object from their Nen. While seemingly simple, Conjurers are among the most versatile Nen users since their constructs can hold virtually any effect and even hold basic personalities. However, unlike Manipulators, Conjurers must directly command objects through specific Abilities to act in specific ways instead of being able to control them freely.
Specialists: The most complex and hardest to define Nen class. The user forms an ability not directly useful for combat with at least three conditions behind its use such as the ability to see the future or the ability to read minds. Because of their unusual nature, Specialist Abilities are only able to be gained by a Specialist Class Nen user and someone with a Specialist Ability cannot form any other Nen Abilities. However, a Specialist Ability CAN include other more practical sub-Abilities if the user has several extremely specific Conditions behind it.
