Name: Draw Slash
Rank: C
Type: Bukijutsu
Element: None
Range: Close
Description: A technique often associated with samurai more than ninja. A user with a sword sheathed near their waist puts their thumb at the sword's guard with their off-hand, pushing the weapon out as they draw into a slash with their main hand. Due to the unexpected push this gives the weapon, attacking speed is boosted by 20 for one strike. This attack can include the user re-sheathing their sword to lead into multiple Draw Slashes and is a key basis of Iai style swordsmanship.
Requirements: Must be wielding a katana with the weapon's sheath at the user's side.
Name: Chained Slash
Rank: C
Type: Bukijutsu
Element: None
Range: Weapon Length
Description: A basic skill taking advantage of gained offense. By forcing chakra through their body while shifting their stance, the user can take advantage of the adrenaline gained by dealing slashing damage to make their next hit harder to avoid if they attack immediately after the exchange. This boosts the Speed of the next attack by 20. Because this boost is reset each attack, it cannot go above 20.
Requirements: Must be using a non-Kunai slashing weapon.
Name: Weapon Bind
Rank: B
Type: Bukijutsu
Element: None
Range: Weapon Length
Description: A difficult skill to use correctly. By coating the sword in chakra, the user can loosely lock it to an opponent's weapon by blocking with their edge. This creates a situation where if one person's strength is higher than 10, they can overpower their opponent, potentially getting a hit or even forcing their foe onto the ground if their strength is at least 30 points higher. However, if one person's speed is 10 points higher than the other's, then they can escape the Weapon Bind easily while still having time to block. Otherwise, the first person to break the bind without overpowering the opponent will be at a disadvantageous position, reducing their speed by 20 for the purpose of their reaction. This does not require Chakra Upkeep.
Requirements: Both the user and their opponent must be wielding edged weapons.
Name: Anti-Armor Technique
Rank: C
Type: Taijutsu
Element: None
Range: Close
Description: A brutal technique designed to get around Samurai armor. If the opponent has been knocked onto the ground, the user can take advantage of the situation to almost instantly position themselves on top of them, with their knees pinning the opponent's arms. From this position, any attacks using the weapon's sheath will negate all jutsu and equipment based Durability bonuses. If the opponent's Speed is 20 points higher than the user's or if their Strength is at least 5 points higher than the user's, they can either avoid this attack or force the user's body off of theirs.
This technique can be used even if the user is unarmed.
Requirements: None
