Catching Up with the Village Threats [private, Kyo]

It'd been a long time since she'd been on any sort of official business. Not long after the first Hokage had passed and Rei Hyuuga ascended, shit got real bad real fast for the kunoichi. In the span of just over a month, she lost the entire Konoha branch of her clan to the Fuya, making her an orphan. She lost her mind left to try and exact revenge, but had failed. If not for Hibiya, she'd probably be dead, twice over. Her third encounter with the deranged young Seri Fuya had ended with the girl dead and Yori's brain recovering from Tsukuyomi thanks to the Ayano clan's care.

The only good thing had been her friendship with Hibiya progressing to lovers, but even that was a little complicated due to his family being samurai that operated much differently than ninja. It was a little troublesome to her, as well as bittersweet. Her parents and clan would never meet the Ayano boy, after all. She was accountable now to no one other than herself and the village.

Speaking of the village, Yori waited now atop Hokage Mountain, where she'd been summoned to learn some important information. Honestly, she was probably the last of the jounin to know whatever it was, since she was just coming back from her leave of absence. Her legs dangled over the first Hokage's face, kicking out idly. Her rich cerulean eyes scanned the city from her scenic height, bringing a smile to her face. The smile faded a little, though, as they scanned to a hole in the canopy of trees outside the village walls. Some trees still stood, but they were dead, black, and leafless compared to the others. After something that horrible, would whatever news this Kyo person brought her be surprising in the least?

Kyo flew in the sky a few hundred feet higher than the tallest mountain in Konoha. His byakugan seeing most things. From the insects that crawled on the ground, to the people that unknowingly crushed them under foot as they walked. He had been assigned with a serious task and all jounin in the village must play a part. The shinobi was to meet with him at his personal and most favorite thinking spot. Keep things casual and move on from there.

The playing fields looked like a green carpet that covered the ground. The trees looked like tiny broccoli that dotted the landscape. It really was a picturesque place. At the center of it all was both the damaged by and the new Hokage tower in the center of the village. They had already remade Kosuke's stone face but the workers were at break but there was a single female ninja sitting above the Hokage. His wings made of light made him float down to her side.

"Hey! I'm Hyuuga Kyo. Yori Nishizaka?" Asked Kyo

Such an entrance would probably startle most people, but Yori was one of the chillest people in the village. Well, generally speaking. She hadn't been so chill when her family was violated and massacred right before her eyes, but surely that couldn't count against her. Anyone with a soul would be affected by such things. She simple brought her eyes from the landscape and focused them on the ninja that just arrived, though her expression did betray that she was interested in just how he had wings. A jutsu? A kekkei genkai? No, those eyes and that name made her well aware of what his kekkei genkai was, and it certainly wasn't flying like a bird. Yori was amused, but wouldn't bring it up now. There was a time for everything, and now was the time to get down to important business.

"Yes, I'm Yori. Nice to meet you, Kyo," she nodded politely, though she didn't get up. This seemed casual enough a setting, even if it was official. Instead, she patted the ground beside her, inviting him to join her so they could talk. "What's this about? I'm afraid I've been out of the loop for about a month. Family stuff," the Nishizaka smiled, her hair currently black and tying itself into a bun on top of her head.

"Plain and simple Yori. Konoha has been under the attack from an organization called Black Sun. They are ruthless and very powerful. They killed, the Hokage, the Raikage and the Lord if the Samurai the Shogun. All this happened around the time of the Chuunin exams or before. The Hokage has asked me to form a team to bring them down." He let all that sink in before he spoke again while looking at her.

"Rei has already made up her mind it seemed to also Hunt them on her own. When she decides to disappear is unknown. When that happens, Konoha is going to need a sucessor. I hope that person will be you. I am not saying she is going to abandon her post now, but a successor will be needed."

Kyo looked at her hopefully awaiting what she was going to say. He knew nothing of Yori or how she was and her resolve if any on this issue.

Yori pressed her lips together, shifting her eyes from Kyo back to the village below. She may be pretty zen, but something as heavy as this took a moment to process. She considered it all very seriously. A kage killing group was crazy enough to be going around causing trouble? They must have some frightening power indeed. Even if she had had some pretty shitty stuff happening to her recently, she was shocked she hadn't heard of this sooner. Seemed like a think the new Hokage would call her in form regardless of her grieving.

"Hm. That is a lot," she said after a moment or two, returning her eyes and smile to him. "So I guess I should ask...what is being done against Black Sun from our end on Konoha? They can't just kill the first and get away with it without us doing something," Yori asked Kyo seriously, though her voice and tone were even and friendly. "And also, it's hard to imagine that I would be qualified to succeed as Hokage. I'm surprised you wouldn't be next in line, honestly. You're a Hyuuga well."

Kyo smiled at the woman's words of him becoming Hokage and nodded as if to say 'I hear you'. But it would not be so all the same.

"I have been assigned to investigate the movements of Black Sun. When I am not here, who will defend our homeland? I am not saying to assume the mantle of Hokage with immediate effect. All I'm saying is think about it ok?" He said smiling.

This was his home and to entrust someone he did not know in the care of it was a risk. But what other choice did he have? Someone had to investigate Black Sun and someone had to protect the home land. He wondered what he should do.

"Rei isnt going anywhere anytime soon. Because she knows I am doing her bidding. So i apologize if it sounded the responsibility of Hokage is thrown upon you." Continued Kyo as he looked at her then at the villafe below. "This may seem sudden asking you this but, in the meantime that Rei is here, would you be interested in joining my team to hunt Black Sun?"

By his voice alone, she will know that it changed to a more serious tone. His eyes had changed to a lighter shade of purple; more than the usual Byakugan color. It was the norm for Kyo when his mind was under the strain if thought.
