Name: Escort The Village Elder! [Private, Chiruto]

There was not a single cloud in the sky to block the sun's rays today and the weather was fair not too hot not too chilly. The village was in a bustle people scurrying from one market to another arms full with their purchases mostly consisting of fresh fish and rice. Occasionally one would pass by Ozai giving him a once over then picking up their pace shuffling through the Mizukage's doors. It had been quite some time since the Kage had called on Ozai to do a mission, and he definitely was not happy with the situation. The first issue was the fact that he would be escorting some old geezer who had no significant value to him, and the other was that he was assigned a partner to do it. Ozai couldn't help but wonder if the Kage had lost all confidence in him and questioned his skill. Ozai was stationed up against the Mizukage using the wall to support himself in the only shady spot available. His fingers were rapidly tapping on his forearm and his patience was growing a tab bit thin. Reaching down he pulled a parchment from his pocket and skimmed it quickly making sure this was the right day because he always showed up early. With a sigh, he used his hands to shield his eyes from the sun and looked out hoping to find either the shinobi or the old man.

It was a nice, sunny day and Chiruto was being dispatched to a mission with another to play a game of 'guard the village elder' which was okay. Old people had a tendency to not be able to defend themselves, as was the case with most of the kage these days. Lost too much in the war that happened a little bit after he was born. The mizukage, as far as he was able to confer, was the youngest out of the kage and had become kage through somewhat unique means. That was no matter though, as he arrived. He wore a brown shirt with blank pants today, and Samehada sat on his back sort of chilling. He would, shortly after, meet face to face with the person that he was to team up with.

"Hello. I am Chiruto, and I am the wielder of Samehada."

"Oh I know of you. I'm Ozai of the Hoshigaki clan." Ozai replied taking the man's hand with a firm squeeze to shake it a few times before releasing it.

Before he could proceed any farther an old wrinkly man approached them "Are you my boys for the day?" Without the hunch the man could've almost passed for an average height, but now with his old age he couldn't be more than 5 foot allowing his beard to reach his knees. His pace was extremely slow inching his way on with a cane this was going to make for a long trip.

Taking a step from out the shadows Ozai performed a miniature bow to the man. "We should probably get a move on if we are going to make it today." It was rather obvious that he didn't want to be here now nor did he want to make the trip at the old man's speed. He could have cared less if it was just him and the other shinobi, but it was out of his control at this points. Looking to Chiruto he gave him a nod and waited for some direction.

Ozai... hmm. He seems like a man with a bad 'tude. At least, according to Chiruto. Chiruto was, admittedly, a weird judge of character. Mainly because he thought bad of you if you were more violent than him. That was just the fact, and the fact that Ozai reacted like he did made Chiruto frown. That boy obviously didn't want to be here, and that was just the fact of it. Sure, this village elder was old and slow, but that didn't matter. He pat the old man on the back very lightly and nodded, and motioned for Ozai to lead, and he situated himself behind the elder. The elder would simply walk to where they needed to be, and they'd act like body guards. That was the job, in the most simple of terms.

"I don't believe we're likely to encounter any forces that could hurt either of us. Do you wish to go at them first, or should i be on that duty?"

It was an honest question, as if Chiruto were assigned, there'd be no death. only slight maiming, which would make the job slightly harder for them. He just didn't say that as he didn't consider it important information.

"Considering the fact that two Jounin were required to escort this old man we should probably both be on guard." Looking the old man over he was extremely confused on why they were protecting him or where exactly they would be going."Is there anything we should know beforehand old man? It is extremely peculiar that the Kage would assign two Jounins just to walk around with an old man. Its almost a waste of resources..."

A very dry cackle came from the old man before he replied with "Let's just get a move on we don't have all day! I'm here to keep the peace and that's what I intend on doing!" He quickly raised his cane to the air before slamming it onto the ground causing dust to fly up. Without another word the man began to shuffle his way into the market at what looked like a speed walk but was hardly covering any distance.

"I guess that settles that." Ozai sighed as he took his place in front of the old man. He tried to keep a small distance ahead swinging his arms occasionally to keep a clear path through the market. The last thing he needed right now was for the old man to be lost in a sea of people while his guard was down.

It was peculiar, but the safety of the village elders was something the kage apparently took quite seriously.  Chiruto could respect it, but he also understood Ozai's concerns. It was likely that they knew an attack was coming and had tried to get the old man to stop going so they could just slaughter without having this problems. However, the old man, who was walking in between the two of them. The old man was slightly grumpy about the attitudes of both of his guides.

"It's very urgent that we get to where we need to be in a timely manner."

The old man was ignoring the fact that he was the entire reason that they were going slow, and Chiruto refused to tell the old man that. They'd probably have been there already if this were the case.

"I have a feeling that there was attempts to change the date and either the old man or his business partner refused. Attack is likely,  now that I think about it."

He held a concerned look on his face, as was the normal, but the face was slightly more concerned than usual.

"Would you prefer me to go and get a cart so I could carry you around old man? We must look like a couple of mules to you." Ozai scoffed. This must be the most boring mission I have ever been tasked with. I'm going to have a word with the Mizukage after this. Such disrespect. He thought to himself. Looking to Chiruto "Ya know if we took turns carrying him it would go much quicker. I bet he's no heavier than that sword." he said pointing to Samehada. "I actually hope that there is an attempt for the old man's life it would spice this mission up. Its been a good while since I've been in a real fight I miss it." he said with a grin that bared all of his sharp teeth. Thinking to himself A fight would also be a good evaluation of two things; what was the old mans worth and what was the skill level of Chiruto. Someone who was chosen to wield Samehada must have some type of power. Throwing his hands behind his head Ozai kept his head forward and his guard up.

Once again, the attitudes of his teammate bothered him. Such disrespect for an elder that was standing so close to them. The elder continued walking, staying rather silent for what it was all worth. It was obvious that the old man was angry with the Hoshigaki, but it was never said. Not by the old man, anyway. He was just a somewhat disgruntled old man who was on his way to the meeting. It was Chiruto who voiced his concerns.

"I'm not sure how many fights you've actually been in. They are not fun. I hope this mission goes without an attempt on anyones life, despite the fact that I know it won't be like that. It'll be more akin to a bloodbath when it does happen."

He knew, deep inside, that everything was going to go wrong sooner rather than later, but that was no matter. He'd deal with it when they got there, with the blade on his back. The blade on his back, and the ability to use it that far outdid most other ninja in the world.

Ozai countered with "You must not know much about the Hoshigaki. War is second nature where I come from. What you should do is think of an apex predator then think of something that hunts the apex. You get the Hoshigaki. " Raising his hand and pointing a finger at Samehada "I want to see that thing in action.
I've only ever heard stories about it and now I have found you with it. You could say it's almost like a dream come true if you wish to equate it with that. How can you expect yourself to be a Seven Swordsman if you have no taste for blood?" Turning to the old man he sighed "So how much farther do we have to go old timer?" Leaving his position at the front of the group he made his way to Chiruto's side and began to examine the blade wrapped in bandages "Why do you keep this beauty wrapped, do you have no respect for it? Do you feed it regularly? How did you come by it?" Ozai could go on for hours about the 7 famous blades.

Chiruto sighed, and was going to counter aruge whatever the Hoshigaki was saying. The old man had guided them towards outside the city, and shortly after they had gotten out and starting towards the much smaller village outside of the area, a kunai flew out of the branches of a nearby tree. With the speed of a swordsman, Chiruto seemingly teleported according to the old man. Chiruto dug into his clothing and brought out a Kunai and threw it out towards the tree, where would could hear the opponent moving.

"Protect the old man. Eliminate the opponents. I will play defense with my ranged skill, you need to hunt them down."

Just then, another kunai flung itself towards the old man, and was swatted down by Chiruto. Chiruto would return fire and hit the kunai-throwing a-rank in the leg, causing blood to be in the air and a sound to tell where they were. He had just guessed, and got lucky but that was no matter when it came down to it.

He'd explain himself to Ozai later.

Ozai moved in leaving only a blur of his silhouette where he had previously stood grabbing the first thrown kunai out of the air blade first. Turning to where the blade had come from he threw the kunai to the ground and licked the blood from the wound. His hands flicked threw a minute amount of seals and a mist coming from his mouth quickly filled the area with a fog so dense there was no way the assassins could find the old man. "Oh don't worry I will get them." he responded to Chiruto. The man's successful hit with his thrown kunai had alerted Ozai to their exact position and it was game time. Once again his hands flicked threw a few seals and he threw his arm towards the enemies sending 5 ferocious sharks at the A with two connecting at one of the assassin's arms tearing them to shreds effectively delimbing him. "This should go quiclky!" Ozai laughed to Chiruto.

Chiruto couldn't believe this. Ozai was immensely violent, but was undoubtedly a strong ninja. Bloody, sure. Still a ninja. He looked into the mist and saw the other man pop out of a area around the forest. Off instinct, he threw a kunai that lodged itself into the mans shoulder. He then threw another into the other shoulder, and one into the mans left leg for a little bit mroe of an added effect. Maybe the man was terrified. Maybe not. Either way, with Ozai here, they likely wouldn't last much longer.

The look on Chiruto's face was one of a sour nature. He didn't like this.

Hearing the next man's squeal Chiruto must've made a move because it definitely wasn't either of his wards. without hesitation, Ozai moved with immense speed and grabbed the other assassin by the hair. He gave it a hard yank upwards to expose the man's neck before shoving his mouth of fangs into the shinobi's neck. Blood squirted everywhere and the man struggled as Ozai clamped his fangs down. His mouth was overtaken with blood as he dropped the man removing a hunk from his neck. Wiping the blood from his face Ozai returned the old man and Chiruto's position. "We should probably get him out of here before more show up. It's pathetic to think they would attempt to take an old mans life. Hopefully they know better now. " Ozai said as he placed a hand on the old man's back to direct him towards the village. He could feel the tremors as the fear pulsed through the old man's fragile body. Looking to Chiruto Ozai waited on his move.

Chiruto, in the most simple action yet, literally grabbed the old man and lifted him up. The old man was displeased but was too scared of Ozai to say otherwise. Chiruto nodded, and then with a burst of speed that was helped from his jutsu, he blasted off towards the meeting area. He'd expect Ozai to trail behind a good bit, but make sure to kill in persuers. That was his job in this case. It was the vanguard and the backup and it was one of the greatest teams in the world. He felt. That wasn't offical, but it was a solid and nice thing that he could have responsible back up, all things considered.

Ozai seemed like he'd be an okay conversation partner, albiet he might dominate the conversation. That was okay with Chiruto, all things considered. Chiruto just wanted to get this mission over and be done with this forever, as if it were up to him, no blood would be spilled. Especially with the blood that was actively on Ozai's mouth.

Once he arrived at the meeting site, he'd wait for Ozai and once Ozai arrived.

"I hope my skills were satisfactory."
