Mission Flashback!

Subject: Mission Flashback! Mon Jun 18, 2018 5:09 pm

Missions:

It was a beautiful day in the Land of Iron. For once it wasn’t snowing and the sun glistened off the freshly frozen ground. A young, white haired boy rushed through the streets. It was sunrise, arguably the most beautiful time of day in Shimogakure. The boy in question was Akira Akashiya. A young Samurai who was taking on a few missions in order to make money for his truck into the Shinobi controlled elemental nations. His goal was simply to save up a few extra Ryo to fund his trip. His first mission would be very simple, but he didn’t expect a difficult day.

He simply had to find a cat to gift to a young boy, no older than he was when he entered the Dojo. It had to be a calm and clean feline, shouldn’t be too difficult. He made his way through various alleyways in search of abandoned kittens that frequented those areas. It was here he found his quarry. A single white, blue eyed tabby. It walked right up to him, purring and rubbing against his leg. He picked it up and carried it to a small stream to wash it off. Once that was done, he put it in a box and carried it to the boy for delivery, accepting his pay, he rushed off to his next task.

His next task would take him across the village, rushing by the grey metal buildings, he thought of the next mission. He just had to move five bags of sugar for a bakery that specializes in making very large orders of various sweets. When he arrived, he was somewhat surprised to see bags at least ten feet tall and five feet thick. If he wasn’t as physically intensive as he had been, it wouldn’t be possible to complete this on his own. Walking over, he picked up the first one, straining slightly, and slowly walked it over to the area it was supposed to be left at. Breathing out, it was obvious he would be struggling some to do all five of them. So, he breathed out and calmed himself, a red aura glaring up around him. Walking over, he picked up the next one with ease and walked it over to the bay. Sure, some would see this as abusing a very dangerous technique, but to him, it was simply training. Once he got them all set, he deactivated the chakra and went to find the store owner. Once he found the man, he received his pay and a stick of pocky. Bowing in thanks, he left to get to his next job.

The third task of his day consisted of showing a traveling merchant and his fiancée around the village. It should be a simple task, showing them the Shogun Mansion, the Dojo and the view of the Three Wolves Mountains. He met up with them at their hotel, it was one of the more lavish ones with room to room catering and various other luxuries. They seemed nice enough, chatting amongst themselves as he walked them to each destination. Each time they stopped and he filled them in on history and other interesting facts of the area, they asked a few questions and such. He also gave them a few things that were personal experiences for himself in the various areas. They seemed kind and very interested. He was almost done when a thief attempted to steal the lady’s bag. I say attempted here because he failed. Epically. Akira caught the man's wrist, snapped his arm and threw him to the ground.

He then went into some unclassified details about training as a Samurai and the various things expected of them by the government. It was an interesting few hours, so he led them back to their hotel and dropped them off. They offered him a rather handsome few for his time and he left with full pockets.

He made his way swiftly to the weapon smith shop. His snowy hair flowing in the wind as he ran. He needed to test a few weapons and he would be almost done for the day. He took a short break to eat a quick lunch before making it there, a rice patty, some beef and a few pieces of tuna. Followed by a cup of blood drained from a nearby citizen. They never even realized what happened, he was just too quick for them to see. Once he had satiated his hunger, he go back onto the path to the blacksmith. Once he arrived he was led back to a training yard with various shaped targets set about the place.

On either side of the table were boxes filled to the brim with Kunai or shuriken. He grabbed one of each and threw them, bullseye! He continued to repeat this trend, setting those that passed in one box and those that felt off in any way, such as the weight distribution, or chipped blades or faulty metal. It was all down to around thirty of each when he was about finished writing up his report to turn in to the blacksmith. The blacksmith was a portly man, with a thick beard and thicker arms. He was clearly someone that even most Samurai would avoid confrontation with. But, he paid Akira for his troubles and let him get on to his next job.

His final task for the day would provide a unique challenge. He made his way swiftly to the youngest class of the Dojo. His task was simple, he merely had to indulge and entertain a group of five year olds for a few hours. When he arrived, he slid the door open to find twenty six kids sitting around an older woman who nodded to him and left as he entered. He must be taking over from her shift. The kids all looked at him expectantly, he glanced around the room to see various things. Books, some kendo sticks, a few other normal things to find in a class at the Dojo. He decided he would simply give a demonstration on the unique fighting style he had created when he had passed his graduation exam. Picking up six kendo sticks that were each around half a meter long, he held three in each hand. It was then he went through the most basic katas of his style. Whirling, dropping and catching the sticks, hitting the training dummy in all its vital areas. The kids were all invigorated. The hours passed much faster than he thought they would and he noticed another sensei coming to take the class over. He accepted the pouch of Ryo that was handed to him and left for his house to begin packing.
