Description: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.

Description: A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones may not dissipate when they come into contact with something. These clones can be easily distinguished by persons with dōjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

Description: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is of course not always successful.

Name: Water Surface Walking Practice

Description: This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Practice, because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly. It has also been shown that one can use their chakra to "skate" across the water surface, like an ice skater, instead of just walking or running. It is noted, that shinobi reach a state where they stand on water without even noticing it or basically even trying.

Description: The user blends in with water to be undetected by the enemy, similar to the Earth Release: Hiding in Rock Technique. It was shown that this technique is usable even in water as shallow as a puddle. While leaving concealment, water simply appeared on the floor and rose up, revealing the user.

Name: Water Release: Hiding in Mist Technique

Description: This displacement technique is a speciality of the ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth,then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the doujutsu.

Name: Water Release: Wild Bubble Wave

Description: The user spits out a large volume of foam-like bubbles which covers the ground and reduces its friction, considerably limiting the opponents' movements. The bubbles are spit out with violent force that is capable of washing away most attacks, such as oil and fire. This technique can also be used as an effective smokescreen.

Description: The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water that have one-tenth of the original person's power. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.

Name: Water Release: Water Prison Technique

Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move or breathe while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. It can also be stored in scrolls as traps. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

Description: The user kneads chakra, and converts it into water, and then spits it out in the form of condensed balls. The high-speed water ball attack possesses just as much power to kill as an actual gunshot. While this is a water release technique, it can still be employed someplace where no water is available, which is a great advantage. It is also possible to increase the power of destruction of the spheres themselves by building up the chakra inside of them. The number of bullets is determined while kneading chakra. By taking advantage of gravity, the bullets can brutally increase in power. With a user the size of a large summon, the bullets can actually be more like cannonballs, making them much deadlier.

Name: Water Release: Dustless Bewildering Cover

Description: The user erases their presence, causing them to have neither a physical form nor detectable chakra while the technique is active. They cannot be detected through traditional means. This technique utilises water vapour to bend the light around the user making use of Water Release to do so, enhancing its effects from the Hiding with Camouflage Technique.

Name: Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave

Description: The user spits out a great volume of water from their mouth, swallowing up and crushing the enemy with the advancing surge. The user can ride the wave, allowing them to move at high speed, and attack the enemy, now swept off their feet, without fear of counter-attacks. Afterwards, the excess water can be used for additional Water Release techniques.

Name: Water Release: Five Feeding Sharks

Description: The user puts his hand on the surface of a body of water and from the tips of five fingers, chakra is released into the water, changing it into the form of five ferocious sharks. The sharks circle the target with high speed, creating a raging stream that takes away their prey's freedom of movement and their sharp teeth tear into the enemy with each consecutive attack

Description: The user causes it to rain from clouds created by their chakra, this rain can be used for a variety of purposes, from sensing everything in the rains vicinity to even providing water for jutsu.

Description: A technique that deals physical damage to the enemy with a liquid mass brought forth from underwater. Its power to kill and maim is augmented by adding a spinning motion to the compactly pressured water. During fights on water, taking advantage of its characteristic ability to attack from anywhere in a 360 degrees radius, in conjunction with other techniques for distraction, confusion and so forth, this technique has an extensive array of applications.

Description:

The user releases ice chakra through the soles of their feet. The ice produced spreads on top of the ground, centered from the users’ feet, and spreads in a 30-meter radius. Opponents and allies are prone to slipping when on the ice; thus any shinobi not using Supernatural Walking Practice or not having access to Ice Release are unable to stay balanced on the surface.

Description:

An art used by Lucianna, she creates a typhoon, which swirls up her and her opponent. In her own realm, Lucianna can manipulate the water around her, and attack the opponent with her swords. Since Lucianna controls the water, unless stopped by a greater fire technique, she can render the opponent helpless while she strikes. The strikes she delivers can fling people out of the typhoon completely, wound them, or kill them. When the kenjutsu ceases, Lucianna spirals out of the tornado and lands, allowing the typhoon to rage on and fling out her damaged opponent, before she ceases the water storm. She can also use an Explosive Tag with this technique, to blow up the opponent while she flies out to safety.

Name: Iai Stance: Tension Wave

Description:

After gathering enough chakra in their sword, the user enters Iai Stance and await an attack. Upon an attack being thrown, the user either blocks or dodge the attack. Shortly after, the user jumps or dashes backward and strikes the ground with their sword. The result is an intense blast of blue or white energy that travels across the ground and strikes into the opponent with enough force to send them reeling upwards to thirty feet away. The attack can easily tear into or cleave through the target and their defenses, though it takes up more chakra to do so. More chakra can be gathered to strengthen the blast (+20 to the strength of the attack) and its height. The blast can also travel at some distance to strike enemies from afar.

Description:

The user maintains a ready stance until their opponent strikes at them. Then, using incredible speed and focus, the user rejects their attack with a powerful parry or dodges it with great speed and reflexes. The user then attacks the opponent with the strength of the given attack combined with their own strength. Even without chakra, the attack is devastating as it slices the stunned target almost immediately after their attack.

With enough practice in both sensory and chakra control, the user can now attack multiple enemies with this technique. After slicing into the initial target, the user can use the momentum of the attack to locate and slash into another target with the same degree of energy and keep going until all opponents are cut down. The user can also repeatedly block attacks to build energy for a super-critical blow. This stance can be trained to unleash an array of post-defending attacks.

This technique is best used when either against a horde of enemies or up against one powerful enemy who is on the offensive. It can be used against more defensive fighters, but they could have enough speed to counter their own attack and counterattack in return, leading to a deadlock.

The user can also coat the blade with any element they possess to deflect chakra based techniques that these two nature elements are strong/netural against.

Once the user takes this stance they gain a stat boost of +25 to Speed, Perception, and Strength. Once they leave the stance, however, they lose this boost.
