Luci's Training Thread.

Lucianna stood in the middle of the training grounds dressed in her usual attire, a black bra with black shorts and a cloak. It was quite cold within the Land of Water around this time of year but being a Yuki the cold was something they had to embrace since birth so this kind of weather was nothing to her. Today was the day she was going to practice with a sword. Initially, she didn’t care much about kenjutsu since that was more up her father’s ally but it had come to her attention that he was in line to become one of the seven swordsmen of the mist that was until of course he met his untimely demise at the hand of the Konohagakure shinobi. Now the village elders were seeking someone else to pick up the mantle and she was determined to not let such an honor slip from her clan. Thus she began training with a sword every day for the past two years and now she felt as if she was ready or at least that’s what the elders in her clan thought. “I think I’m all prepared.” She said to herself before unsheathing the blade that her father once held. The sword itself was in terrible condition as it was kept just the way they had found it next to his mangled body. Every time she looked at the sword she would remember the stupid smile he always had on his face whenever he was discussing how much he loved kenjutsu. In fact, he loved it so much that he would hardly train any ice or water release techniques. “Maybe if you actually used some damn Yuki techniques they wouldn’t have killed you.” She spat angrily while gritting her teeth. Pushing her thoughts to the back of her mind, she would grip the sword with both hands and readied herself for training.

“The first step of training with a sword is becoming one with the weapon as it is an extension of you.” She said reciting the words her father would normally say to anyone who was interested in learning from him. She would then begin swinging the sword diagonally and horizontally with all her might. She would continue this same motion for an hour and a half as she aimed to do one thousand horizontal swings and one thousand vertical swings. This was to ensure that her body would get used to the feel of holding and swinging a sword. Once this was done she would head over to the training dummy that was on the far left side of the training grounds. She had purposely marked specific areas of the dummy so that she could practice where to hit with a sword which would cause an opponent to either bleed out of dying instantly. Taking her stance, she would take a deep breath and first tried to hit the dummy where it was marked jugular. ‘’Tch, too slow.” She muttered before trying the strike again at a much faster rate. When she was pleased with how fast she would able to hit the jugular she would move on to the other important parts, such as the heart, specific tendons within the body and of course decapitation. Her currently level was nowhere near that of her father’s who was a master swordsman but she had all intentions to honor his name, the clan, and the village by becoming a better swordsman than he was and avenge his death. Sheathing the sword, she would decide it was time to head home she had other important matters to attend to.

Kenjutsu Training
Adept-> Expert

Lucianna stood in the middle of her clan’s training ground with her current caretakers and a few members of her clan watching her intently. Having gotten over her illness, it was time for her to do some training and today was the day she performed the techniques she had already known to those who had been teaching her, which she thought was a gigantic waste of time as they obviously underestimated her skills but such was the life of the future clan leader.

“Good morning Luci-hime. Today we’ll be asking you to demonstrate a few techniques for us please let us know when you’re ready.” The eldest of the group said and once she had noticed that Lucianna was ready, she would commence. “The first would be the Clone technique.” Lucianna would shake her head before forming the Ram, Snake and Tiger seal in quick succession. “Clone jutsu!” She stated before a perfect clone of herself would pop up and stand beside her.

Clone jutsu learned

A smile would appear on the face of those who were watching as the witnessed her make a flawless clone. “Very good Luci-hime. The next one would be the Transformation Technique” The elder stated as she watched intently. The Transformation Technique was considered a pretty difficult technique though it was considered a basic one so she was intrigued to see how will she would be able to perform this technique. “Does it matter what I transform into? Amaya-dono?” Lucianna stated as she turned on her heels and looked directly into the eyes of the elder woman sitting in the stands. “It doesn’t young one, transform into anything you desire.” The old woman said with a smile.

With that said, Lucianna would take a deep breath before forming the required seals for the technique. “Transformation Technique” she said after forming the final seal. A puff of smoke would go up envelope the young girl and once the smoke would clear it would reveal a small old woman sitting with her legs crossed and her eyes closed, she had transformed into Amaya.

Transformation Technique learned.

“She even managed to get the wrinkles right, amazing.” The old man whom was sitting beside Amaya praised Lucianna while also managing to remind Amaya that she was getting old. Ignoring the man beside her, Amaya would smile, “That’s pretty good Luci-hime, now I want you to show me your tree climbing skills.” Amaya said before forming a string of seals in success before slamming her hands into the floor creating numerous ice pillars where Lucianna stood.

Moving out the way that the pillars erupted from, Lucianna would take a deep breath, before forming the necessary seals. Gathering a small amount of chakra on her feet, she would run into the direction of the nearest pillar and began running up the pillar. At first, she would slip causing her to stumble and almost falling off the pillar but this was quickly remedied by bumping up the amount of chakra that was on her feet to ensure that she was able to keep her footing. After reaching the top of the pillar, she would make her way to the next pillar which was higher than the one before and began running up the pillar as fast as she could before landing on top.

Tree Climbing Practice learned

A round of applause would echo throughout the training grounds. They were pleased that the young woman was so easily able to perform these techniques as a novice was she a genius? “Very good my dear. Now let’s see how you’ll do against this.” Amaya stated before looking to the left where a younger member of the clan stood. After receiving the signal, the man would spit out a great volume of water which would fill the area and mow down the pillars that the old woman had created. With Lucianna on top of the pillar, the raging torrent of water would knock her off and sent her flying before falling into the water and being washed away.

Struggling to keep afloat, Lucianna would sink to the bottom of the body water and once it had settled she would swim to the top of the water. Catching her breath she would focus the chakra on her feet and hands and climbed up as if it was a solid object and stood up on top the of water.

Water Surface Walking Practice learned

Another round of applause would go off as they noticed that she had managed not to drown. The old woman was relieved as she didn’t know how she would’ve explained to the clan members that their heir had drowned during a routine training session. “Very good Luci-hime. Now on to the next up.” She said before looking back to the young man that had used the technique from earlier. He would jump onto the water and drew his sword before making his way towards Lucianna at break neck speeds before swinging his sword at her throat. Luckily for her she would be able to see his attack coming and would duck in time to prevent her head being cut off. The man would stop his relentless assault however as he would quickly follow up with a horizontal slash to her mid-section which would again dodge.

“That’s pretty good, Lucianna-chan. But can you avoid this?” He asked before his sword began being enveloped by wind. He would rush her at speeds that Lucianna would be unable to comprehend which meant she would be unable to dodge. The sword would cleave through the lower half but she was able to form a few seals and used the body replacement technique to avoid being killed.


Body Replacement Technique learned

First, a gasp and then another round of applause would echo throughout the training ground as they noticed that the young Yuki had managed to evade the slash that would’ve surely killed her. Appearing behind the man, she would look to deliver a quick punch at full speed to his face but unfortunately for her, he was able to pick up and easily avoided the punch. “Whoa, calm down Luci-hime are you trying to kill me?” He said with a smile as before running his hands through his hair. His smug look pissed her off completely but she knew when she was outclassed. Letting out a sigh she would take a deep breath before running towards the man at her best speed. Once she was near she would form a before leaping in the air and attempting to do a dropkick on the man. He would again easily evade by moving to the right and once he did she would’ve gathered enough chakra for the follow-up.

“Water Style: Wild Bubble Wave!” Once she had met all the requirements, she would release a stream of bubbles, not towards the man but around herself to cloak her. His eyebrow would raise at the strange tactic of the girl and would just move towards the bubble mass and they used his sword to cut through it. “Huh? Where did she go?” The man stated as it seems as if his opponent had disappeared into thin air. Unknown to him, Lucianna had sunk into the body of water and once she was beneath him, she would jump out and delivered a swift uppercut to his jaw sending him flying into the air. “Amazing Luci-hime!” Amaya said from the stand. Breathing heavily, she would pick up the sword that the man had managed to drop and pointed it towards him. “Looks like it’s my win.”

Water Release: Wild Bubble Wave learned

Having fallen out the sky and landed on top of the water, the man would get up on his two feet and turned to face the young girl. “That was pretty slick. Never saw that coming.” He stated with a smile on his face as he rubbed his jaw. Lucianna would throw his katana to him and as expected he would catch it. “Hiding in Water Technique, pretty useful in some situations,” Lucianna stated as she explained the technique she had just used earlier. That was the first water release technique she had learned when she was young as she did play hide and seek regularly with her father and that was the technique she used whenever she really wanted to win. “I’ll keep that in mind. Shall we continue your grace?” He said with a smile as he took his stance.
