Finding a lost locket? This shouldn't be too hard to do... Rei thought to herself as she approached the old lady's cottage. The information stated that the woman's husband had died some time back and had left a memorable locket with his widowed wife. Somehow though, she had lost the locket and had requested the help of the village to find it. Rei knocked politely and waited for the old lady to open the door. She would smile att he elderly woman and give a small bow of respect. "Hello ma'am. I am a shinobi sent to help you find your missing locket.
Could you tell me where you remember seeing it last?" Rei would say to introduce herself and retrieve as much information as possible to ascertain the area the locket might be hidden.
The old lady was delighted that a shinobi had come to help her search. "Well. WHy yes! I do believe it is lost somewhere in my cabin here.
Don't mind the mess please." she would say, excusing the clutter, slightly embarrassed. Rei just nodded her head and stepped through the door as the lady allowed her entry. The livingroom was cluttered with books and old photo albums. Three or four cats could be seen and the house had a slight smell to it. Rei overlooked it however and went straight to work, moving books and then placing them exactly where she had left them after determining the locket wasn't there.
Rei searched for many hours, clearing each room of the house and every time.... the old lady seemed to have a new idea where she might have left it. Rei had come in the early morning, but now it was becoming late evening. Her great patience was beginning to wear out and Rei looked hard att he woman when the old lady was looking away. That was when Rei noticed a thin black cord around the woman's neck. More curious than anything... though a sneaking suspicion already told Rei what she needed to know. "Ma'am... What's that around your neck?" she would ask the old lady. Upon her inquiry, the old lady placed a hand on the necklace and smiled, more ashamed than bashful. Both of the girls laughed and the lady thanked Rei for helping her find the locket.
