| What a bunch of boneheads is all Ozai could think as he read the parchment once again to assure himself that it was true. "A con artist is duping people out of their ryo yet they continue to go back? Morons all of them. Why does the Mizukage always assign me to stupid missions." he said to himself in a small fit of anger. Slamming the paper down on the table he set fire to with his only candle and was out the door in no time. Clouds swirled through the sky like fresh cotton candy being made, it was a nice day but it was definitely gloomy. Thinking to himself It is nice to be assigned to a capable partner again we will have this mission done in no time and be back with plenty of daylight to get some training done. Hopefully, Chiruto would be smart enough to meet him at the gates so they could come up with a plan before approaching this con man. Ozai found a nice spot in some shade and planted himself on the ground waiting for his teammate.

| Chiruto had a certain set of skills that made this mission seemingly alright by him. There was no up front harm being done, just the stealing of peoples wallets. This should be a small time mission. It had to be something odd. For them to put up the two that they did, something had to be amiss. Even despite genjutsu being used, was the man violent?
He wasn't entirely sure because he lacked a certain level of information. Sure, the man was apparently really good at taijutsu but what did that mean to two swordsman who would likely just slaughter him the second he got violent. Well, Ozai wasn't really a swordsman but Chiruto was.
"Hello, Ozai."
He'd walk up to Ozai as he spoke those words, merely a greeting.

| Ozai extended his hand out to Chiruto "Nice to be working with you again, the Kage seems to be making a habit of this. From what I know the man is somehow trapping unsuspecting citizens in a genjutsu and then taking advantage of them for his own selfish gains. I can't say this is the most difficult mission i've dealt with but its a competitor for one of the most strange." He would then smash each fist into an open palm one after another cracking his knuckles. Ozai was ready to get to work. "So I was thinking that at first we should watch the man in action and develop a more advanced plan. However right now I figure that one of us could approach as a regular civilian, probably I since you have your sword. I could interact with the man and hopefully get caught up in his jutsu. By doing that it would allow you from a distance to figure out the trigger and save my ass before he tries anything sketchy." he explained the plan quickly with a stern voice.

| Hmm. It wasn't a terrible plan, he'd have to admit. Putting him at risk was a liability, but he also knew that Ozai was pretty strong. Worse that happened is Chiruto would have to kill a guy again, despite his innate dislike of that activity. He often did what he had to, to keep his team safe and not dead. The not dead was the important part of this equation, if he were to be honest. If Ozai were to lose, he'd probably just plop a kunai in the opponents brain and be over with it, as that was how easy things were when you threw them fast.
"Alright. That's fine. I'll pull you out here if I feel like you're in a big amount of trouble."
He would sigh, though. He didn't like putting his teammate at such a risk, but such was the cost of the completion of the mission. It wasn't as much risk as most baits, but it was still a risk that he wasn't sure that he particularly liked. That was just his personality though. He didn't like taking risks in any manner, not even in easier missions like this.

| As the dusk rolled in it would allow the two to get some better cover while scoping out the con man. "I'm putting a lot of trust in you Chiruto don't let me down." was all Ozai had to say as he passed through the village gates. With speed, the man began to bounce from tree to tree until he was within 50 feet of the con man's booth.
A group of people surrounded a small table next to a crowd. The carriage was coved in all sorts of knick-knacks and doodads. The con man must have a multitude of lucrative business ventures to swindle people every way possible. Ozai watched as a young woman stepped up to the table standing opposite of a man who looked nothing spectacular. The man was dressed peculiarly with two things standing out more than anything else; a fedora dressed with an ugly pattern and a set of gold teeth. He shuffled a few cards on the table and the woman would pick one. The crowd went up in a roar as it was quite obvious that the woman had selected the winner. The con man shuffled the cards once again "Double or nothing?" the girl reached for another card obvious that she agreed. Just about when her hand grabbed another card the con man stopped it with a hand of his own. "Are you sure about that?" The woman withdrew her hand and then went for a different card which resulted in her not only losing the money she won but her own money as well.
"Did you see that Chiruto? He must be using some type of genjutsu that is based on touch. The plan is definately a go."

| He waited with Ozai, and noticed a few things right away. Ozai was right, it was most certainly a touch genjutsu that made people rethink it and obviously pick the wrong card. Likely, the way to fool the man would be to resist the genjutsu, but it obbviously didn't last very long every time he used it, and it lasted just long enough to fool people. That was mildly frustrating, but he knew that he had to trust the plan of his teammate. This was, albeit, slightly difficult. The last time he put more than a slight bit of faith in the teammates he once had, they had failed him. There was a reason he was a social shut in, but that would have to come out at a seperate time, it was down to what was happening in the current moment.
That was, of course, assuming that Ozai didn't resist the genjutsu based on overpowering it himself. That was very possible. They certainly had the mental power to do so, which helped in the long run but that just dictated that he was a stubborn fellow, not that he could resist a genjutsu. Not to mention, his love of violence either indicated a serious mental lapse in judgement perpetually, or some heavy training. He wasn't entirely sure about which one it was but he'd figure it out in the future.
He readied a kunai as he motioned for Ozai to move forward and get caught in the genjutsu. They needed to know what it did before they attempted to crack down on the man.

| With Chiruto giving him the signal Ozai dropped down from the tree they were in and slinked his way to the crowd. It was a pretty dense one he had to fight his way to the front pushing through all the people cheering on contestants. They were all morons considering they couldn't catch the fact that the con man was duping every one out of their money. That's what you can expect from civilians though. Ozai burst through the front of the crowd and nearly fell after catching his foot on someone else's leg. As he recovered from his stumble he wound up standing right at the table as the next contestant. "So you're next huh? Go ahead pick a card, any card." the man said looking up to Ozai. Reaching out he flipped the card in the middle 'Looks like we have a winner here folks. Want to try again?" the man questioned as he reshuffled the cards. As Ozai went to grab another one the man caught his hand and then Ozai's mind just went black.
