A wild dog attacking villagers inside the village? Rei could understand if it had been outside the village parameter, but right inside the village center? It was off to say the least and Rei could only assume how it had gotten there and who was at fault for the rampaging beast. Fortunately, Rei had been dispatched to deal with the stray wild dog and she took off swiftly towards the village center. Unfortunately, she was nowhere close to the village center. She dashed at her full speed and made it close within seconds after her mission had been given to her by a carrier. As she closed in closer to the center of the village, people were running through the street in her direction. She side-stepped and bypassed the panicked people. It really was a shame that humans had gotten so weak that even a dog could put fear into them.

The hyuga princess blinked once, activating the chakra through her eyes. As the chakra surged and the veins bulged on the sides of her eyes, her vision became enhanced. Looking forward, she could see the people fleeing: not directly in front of her, but from around the buildings and through the walls. She knew more people was coming and she knew where they would run to. She stepped beforehand to evade the people as they came around the corner or through doorways. It was almost as if she was omniscient in the scene that played out before her. The people were easy, they were predictable in their own environment. The wild dog on the other hand, was aggressive and wild, that coupled with it being in an environment full of potential casualties, made the dog a real threat. Not to Rei, but to the people she was supposed to protect. As she ran, she looked to and fro until her eyes caught sight of the center of the village, where everyone was running from. There, the wild dog was dragging a large deer corpse down a street. It would stop to growl and bark at anyone who got too close to its prize. The deer itself was probably from a butcher's shop.

Rei was impressed with the dog's choice of cut meats. Venison was a good type of meat, especially smoked and soaked with honey. Or at least that was how Rei liked dear meat. This dog was apparently very hungry however. It had taken the whole deep corpse whole and was trying very hard to drag it out of the village without anyone stopping it. With her byakugan, currently she could see that there were no civilians in immediate danger. The mass's survival instincts and fear told them to stay away from the wild animal.

To Rei, this hardly seemed like a C ranked mission, but given the threat to civilians, Rei could see how and why it had been appraised as a C Rank instead of a D Rank. She reached the dog and stopped short of its position: the dog's beady eyes stared her down, only five meters away. Rei could hear its loud growling and she curled her own lip as if to bare her fangs. With one swift dash of her foot, she close the distance between her and the beast. One swift strike of her fist and the dog's head exploded into gore and its body muscles began to spasm uncontrollably. Rei shook her hand free of the bloody gore and walked away. The threat was neutralized, but someone else could clean up the mess. She needed a bath.
