| Voltaire felt the warmth in ways that did not even correlate to how much of it has reached the desert so early in the morning, and he did not feel like he was in no way suffering from it. He lied down on his bed of clothing, stretching himself out like a starfish to make sure no part of his body was touching the other parts as to avoid holding any more heat that he could possibly avoid holding on to. Though that big ball of fire had only started to creep up the horizon, he felt like it was baring down on him from directly above and less than a mile away. His chakra was flowing more quickly now, and with more force than any of the four previous elements he had trained. He knew what he was doing now, but that did not prepare him for how very different each experience would be.

| Voltaire decided that if he was going to survive this experience he was going to have to move with it, not just sit around and allow the process to happen. He was going to have to play the fire's game if it was going to accept him. He was trying so hard to force himself up, feeling his exhaustion now more than ever. He was dry heaving once he got himself onto his hands and knees, getting woozy, but fighting the need to just let himself fall into the sand and onto the mess he made. He was just thrilled that he had managed to roll away from the cloak before he started to throw up a little bit. His body was shaking violently as he was trying to pull himself up, but he did not stop there.

| Voltaire pushed himself back up to just his knees, his upper body being now upright. When he looked up though, his spirit was nearly broken. He peered into the sun and was astonished that the sun had still not fully emerged from the line of horizon. It was likely not even five in the morning, but he was already burning up like he had been working out directly under the burning heat of noon. He slowly got one of his feet out from beneath of him and placed his hand on that knee, pushing up to get up higher, fighting the urge to buckle over again to vomit. His foot felt like it was being swallowed by lava as it sunk ever so slightly into the sand, but he kept on in his endeavor to get up in spite of the horrific heat that was brewing inside of his worn down body.

| Voltaire managed to get himself completely upright, though he was still shaking and waving back and forth from all of the effort that he had put into things. His breath was heavy and ragged, but he was becoming somewhat numb to the horrors that the training had done to his body as well as to his chakra network. He threw his hands up aggressively again, making sure to take in all of the rays and even looking in the direction of the sun while not wanting to stare into it. He was pulling that heat into his worn and torn up chakra system. He was wobbling, but he was still standing and refusing to succumb to the heat. His eyes were glossing over and he was starting to drool, but he had no intentions of going down.

| For just a moment, his limbs went limp. His knees bent and his arms dropped, but before he could hit the ground he caught himself and moved into a fighting stance, as though he was going to fight the heat of the sun. His right leg was bent forwards, his left bracing him as best as it could, while both of his hands were balled up into fists at his sides. He stared headstrong and somewhat maddeningly into the sun while shouting. He was leaving forward, raging and shouting nonsense. He threw a fist forward and felt the flames brewing much hotter inside of him, like the beating of steady drums.

| Voltaire's rage grew inside of him like flames and gave him an unprecedented boost of energy that pushed him through the full body suffering that the level of training had given his body and his energy. He started throwing piston punches while he shouted out into the nothing and stared down the sun headlong. His body got low down and shot his hands in front of him faster and faster, building speed as his built up his rage and tension. The fire inside of him was finally whole and evenly controlled through his chakra network. He fell back to his knees and growled up at the sky while that rage was moving him.

| Just a little bit more, Voltaire told himself, he needed to push himself just a little bit further. But, as he started to mold his Chakra, he felt like he was going to die. He fell forward and the sand started to take him. He knew that the situation was bad, but he was so far gone that he had stopped caring about what would happen to him. He pushed himself so far that some part of him knew that this would be the story of how the greatest Genin in Sunagakure no Sato flew too close to the sun and fell to his death when his waxen wings fell apart. He heard the sands shift, but just before he could figure out what that was everything went black. What he did not see was a spider crawling up on top of him and pushing its two front legs together, before they both vanished.
