| - Missions:
Name: Bring in the traitor Location: Land of Iron Rank: C Team: None Client: Shogun Rewards: 800 Exp and 1,000 Ryo (900 exp and 2,000 Ryo if brought in alive) Description: A lone samurai has deemed it fit to desert Shimogakure to become a sellsword in the ninja nations. You are to track him down and either kill him or bring him in for questioning. He is highly skilled with a sword and is able to enhance it with his chakra.
Name: Escort the package Location: Land of Iron Rank: C Team: None Client: Merchant Rewards: 600 Exp and 2,000 Ryo Description: A wealthy merchant has hired you to deliver a package to one of his clients that lives at the summit of the Three wolves' Mountains. You are to go there and then return the pay to the merchant. He warns you that the last time he made this journey, not only did he have to fight the massive bears, but he also had to avoid some scavengers that were looking to rob him dry.
Name: Patrol Location: Land of Iron Rank: C Team: None Client: Shogun Rewards: 800 Exp and 1,000 Ryo Description: You are to patrol the border of the Land of Iron to make sure nothing is amiss, when on patrol, you come across a ninja attempting to sneak in. They have 50 in all stats and are able to use all Fire jutsu B-rank and lower. Take them down before they cause an uproar.
Opening his eyes as the sound of hammering started, Maki would climb out of bed. The only downside there was to living above a forge is that the blacksmith likes to get to work early. He had come across this apartment at a good price, so he had taken it without much thought. It was clear that it was listed as such due to its built in alarm. Getting dressed for the day, the Phantom Swordsman would head out towards the mission post. It had become painfully obvious that he was in desperate need of funds to purchase a weapon. What was a Samurai if he didn't carry a sword? Shimogakure was truly a beautiful village in the morning. When the sun shimmers off of the ice blanketing rooftops and roads, it coats the village in a mirage of colors caused by the refraction of otherworldly colors. He made it to the mission post and it appeared that he was the first one there, so he had the first pick of missions for the day. Grabbing a few, he would head towards the village gate to get on the path to check on his first mission objective, bringing in a traitor. 1/3 | |

| He knew that this mission was fresh because it was still warm from being printed and the Shogun's seal was slightly wet. He rushed out of the villages south gate in the direction he found the be the most likely direction that the traitor would be going. Running fast enough that the snow seemed to be bending towards him, Maki hoped that he wasn't getting here too late. He had no weapons on him at the moment, but he was still considered an S-ranked Samurai. His main skill came from his clan's abilities, so he would need to rely on those to take down this rouge Samurai, though from the description given, he should have no trouble.
The rouge was apparently only skilled with the basics of the technique of using a sword and apparently had learned how to coat his blade in chakra to increase its power. He should have little to no trouble dealing with this scum, but it was always best to come prepared for the worst. Maki had already decided that he would do his best to bring in the punk alive, so that the justice system could do its work. It wouldn't be too difficult if the information they had on this kid was correct.

| After a while of running and searching, Maki found the traitor trying to sneak out of the country at their southern border with the Land of Fire. Dashing forwards with more than enough speed to catch up to the traitor, Maki would seemingly appear in front of him, stopping him dead in his tracks. He obviously felt there was no need for words as he immediately drew his sword and came at the Phantom Swordsman with a diagonal slash. Allowing the blade to phase right through him, Maki would step forwards, moving through his opponent and then would chop them on the back of the neck.
The chop held more than enough force as it knocked the trash out cold. Maki would pick the boy up and sling him over his shoulder. It would seem to most that he was simply carrying a drunk friend home, when in actuality, he was carrying in a traitor to be processed and interrogated before being jailed for abandoning his duty to his nation. The Land of Iron was very sturdy in its convictions of duty and honor. If one were to swear fealty to the Shogun, they were expected to follow through with that covenant.

| It was time to collect his pay from delivering the traitor to the department of internal affairs. He collected his pay and left to begin his next mission. He was going to meet a merchant who needed him to make an important delivery run into the mountains. Apparently, he didn't want to make the journey himself this time as he had been attacked by not only the Giant animals that lived along the path leading to the mountain, but he had also been targeted by thieves, looking to either steal or sell his wares. So, Maki would be the one making the delivery today.
He also had to make sure to get the pay returned safely to his client. Since it was a high value item, he expected there to be some opposition after the pay he would receive, so he needed to be ready for that. Grabbing the item, that was wrapped and packaged into a box, he would make his way out of the village onto the frozen path that led to one of the most dangerous mountains in the world. A mountain one was more likely to die walking near than they were to die climbing it in some reports.

| As he made his way through the frozen tundra, he noticed there was a tranquility that blanketed the area. None of the animals seemed to pay him any mind as they grazed, the birds chirped haphazardly in the sky and there was no sign of anything being amiss. As he walked, he picked up a stick and began to swing it, somewhat practicing his swordplay. A samurai without a blade was certainly something odd to find in the Land of Iron, especially one of his prestige. He ignored those that claimed he was incapable and often told them to challenge him to a duel if they felt he was incapable.
No, he didn't have a blade, but there was a reason. For a Samurai to be truly successful they must have a blade, this is true, but their blade must resonate with them. The best way to accomplish this for any samurai would be to create their own blade through blood and sweat. Putting their chakra into the blade incrementally throughout the process to bond it to their soul. He threw the stick to the side, it wouldn't be long before he completed the creation of his own blade he had been working on.

| He was interrupted from his thoughts at the sound of a deafening roar. Looking to the side, he saw a massive white bear charging at him. He didn't want to kill the beast as it was one of natures creations, something sacred, just like human life. The only issue was that he had promised his service to the man and his word was his bond, no matter if it went against his own personal beliefs. With this thought in mind, he created a spear out of condensed matter and sent it through the beasts skull. Once he had taken care of the beast, it was rather easy to complete the remainder of the delivery as he had no opposition.
On his way back he was stopped by three would be thieves, standing in his path. He told them to move and leave him be, but obviously they didn't care. As they charged him, it was over in a matter of minutes, they laid on the ground writhing in pain. Maki made his way quickly back to the village to return the pay he picked up to the merchant. He then claimed his prize and went to prepare himself for his final mission of the day, and arguably the one most likely to be boring.

| His final mission would take him far from the Village of Shimogakure, all the way to the border of the Land of Iron. He was to go through the patrol of the border and make sure all of their checkpoints and defenses were in good shape. The border of the Land of Iron wasn't extremely busy, but it was a place that rouge shinobi felt they could escape punishment from the crimes they committed in their lands. This couldn't be any farther from the truth however as the Land of Iron was most certainly not known for its sympathy to shinobi.
He had to admit that being near the border was nice in some ways. Mostly in that he didn't usually get to visit this area of the Land so he tried to take advantage of the opportunity he was given. He relished in the sights and sounds of the area he found himself in as the afternoon sun had started to set, coating the skies in vibrant hues of red, purple and blue. It was a sight very few took the time to take in, or even to appreciate, but he wanted to make sure not to take such peaceful sights for granted.

| It was no secret that something was amiss in the shinobi lands and there were rumors of another war brewing. The shogun had yet to officially refute these claims, or accept them, but those on the inner circle knew that he had been increasing the difficulty of the dojo and bolstering their ranks. He was preparing for the worst, but Maki didn't know to what ends the Shogun believed the war would go. He just knew that he had seen a lot more activity around the village, not that he minded in the least. He just wanted to serve his country.
He made it to the first couple of checkpoints and found nothing wrong, it was obvious that this section of the border was clear. He continued to make his way around, checking each bunker and checkpoint for anything that struck him as off or odd. He recalled vaguely the activity during the first world war that created a demand for the bunkers he was checking out. It was something that he was very young for, but something that was almost impossible to forget. The final checkpoint he was checking had almost passed his inspection, but he noticed some supplies were misplaced and the snow was freshly disturbed.

| The foot prints led from the Land of Fire into the Land of Iron. It didn't take a genius to realize it was a shinobi sneaking through. Maki would follow the footprints watching the treeline for a sign of someone planning an ambush. He followed the trail for several minutes before it seemingly vanished. Looking around he couldn't see anything odd, but he could hear it. There was a whistling in the air. He jumped back a bit to avoid the kunai coming at him. He then was forced to dodge a fireball. It would seem that the trespassing shinobi had sensed his presence.
Not that it mattered, he looked up to see the man standing in a tree preparing to throw another Kunai. Maki would appear to vanish, moving far faster than the Chuunin could see. He appeared behind him, standing not on the tree, but on thin air. He would take the kunai from his hand and used it to pierce his throat and then his temple. He made it as quick and painless as he could, but he needed to kill him as it was his duty. Samurai prisons weren't made to hold shinobi. When he returned to the village, he claimed his prize and returned home just as the forge master was finishing for the day.
