The Time Has Come [P]

Kirei woke up early to begin training the jutsu from a specially sealed scroll that Matsuda had given him. It contained detailed notes on a technique called Rasengan along with several elemental variants. Matsuda had said something about it being his inheritance, but he brushed it off due to his excitement over the technique. He made his way to one of his favorite clearings for training to begin the process. He looked down at the scroll to read the first part on training the jutsu. Rotation - the user learns to spin their chakra in multiple directions at once. To help in this regard, users may be given a water balloon so that they can mark their progress by the churning water; this step is complete once the users is able to burst the balloon with their chakra. It is important for the user to know which direction their body naturally spins its chakra for this step. Touching a seal on the parchment that said water balloon, he was gifted with a tub full of water balloons to practice with. It would seem this scroll was sent by someone who was prepared.

He started by spinning his chakra as fast as he could in various directions at one time. He was lucky that he had actually practiced something similar to this around two weeks prior during his normal chakra exercises. He spun and spun them, every little while a balloon would explode, drenching him with far more water than it seemed they were capable of holding, but he stayed with it. He wouldn’t quit just because he got a little dirty! It took him several hours, but he finally figured it out, he had to try to contain it within the balloon instead of just assuming that his chakra wouldn’t escape the thin walls of said object. After he figured that out, it was much easier to master this stage of the jutsu, so he kept going until he got it down to an automatic movement. Each balloon he picked up, he instantly spun his chakra at high speeds in every direction imaginable, yet none of the balloons showed movement. It was after he mastered that, he knew that he was ready to move on to the second level. Sealing all the water balloons away, he moved down to the next section.

Reading through what the scroll said, this one would be a bit more difficult as it would require significantly more control on his part. Reading it over and over, his mind wandered off a bit onto who exactly he had gotten this scroll from? He had never heard of this jutsu before, so it must not have been one this person used enough to get famous. But, he could see its potential, so he would be able to capitalize on it, maybe he would become famous for it. Looking down to the words in section two, Power - the user must increase the volume and density of chakra they output. To help in this regard, users may be given a rubber ball: there is no water inside to help them burst the exterior and the rubber shell is thicker than a balloon's. So, he had to burst this, but it would require more power than the last. Should be easy enough, he unsealed another barrel but this one was full of thick rubber balls. He took one into his hand and started the same as he did with the water balloon.

After he figured that out, it was much easier to master this stage of the jutsu, so he kept going until he got it down to an automatic movement. It was after he mastered that, he knew that he was ready to move on to the final level. Sealing all the rubber balls away, he moved down to the next section.

It was now time to master the final step, the sun had long ago passed below the canopy of trees, but Kirei didn’t care. It was time to train! He opened the next section of the scroll, Containment - the user must combine the first two steps into a contained sphere. To help in this regard, users may be given a balloon to help them visualise the intended shape; if the balloon is popped or otherwise moves, mastery is not yet achieved. This would be the most difficult of all after he had gotten so skilled at destroying the balloons. Opening the seal, he pulled out the first balloon and got to work. After a few hours, the balloons were still popping left and right, it had taken him forever to get them to where they would just move a bit. After a few hours of hard work and sweat, he had finally gotten it down, the balloon didn’t budge at all. It was at this moment he dropped the balloon and performed the exercise barehanded. Instantly, a blue ball of chakra formed in his palm, it would seem he had mastered the jutsu.
